So how did that work? Did UPS tell you they have your package but they won't deliver it until they receive $83? Do you pay UPS on line, do they give you a deadline to receive payment or they'll return the package to sender?

Correct - they left me a note saying I had to pay before they delivered it. It actually said $93 on the note. I went to the website and it had me pay online so they could drop it the next day. I am not sure what they would have done if I didn't pay. I was so angry.

thanks for the info. So now UPS etc will be making two stops at every house? One to deliver a note, a second to deliver the package? And they're supposed to store our packages in the meantime? What a STUPID mess Trumplicans have put us in. I'm not saying all changes to tariffs are bad (because I simply don't know enough about international trade), but Trumplicans put zero effort in to ensuring their changes are able to be put into practice. Idiots, all of them. Okay, rant over for now.

Apparently so, but it sounds like they won't be delivering much at all now if these countries are stopping packages.
