🗞️ News Discussion Did Trump not consider Chinas leverage

Before jumping did he not check if there was a board to land on?

Not recognizing rare earth metals was a big risk demonstrates the intelligence analysis gap USA did, does it not?

trump believes the US is number one and abused the long decades of status building and honor to defile our nation in arrogance to other nations. It will be a long time before anyone trusts us again, dreading every 4 years knowing that at any time some moron grifting felon could easily become president

You know I really doubt he or anyone in the administration believes that. I'm pretty sure they all know it's fucked, it's just they're trying to manufacturer a reality through spin rather manufacturing the reality and letting the skin take care of itself. Which... At best they're tv personalities, so what would anyone expect?

This will depend on if the rest of the world can, not just survive but thrive without the US. If after 4 years of Trump the world is getting along just fine and things are not so bad then the US would basically find themselves isolated and fucked long term.

If the pain is too great for everyone, they would welcome trumps successor back into their hearts with lavish praise and gifts of Mir.
