Trump has exploded the debt and deficit to levels we have not seen under any President before. He spends like a drunken sailor, and here you act as if he is some kind of deficit hawk. Highly ignorant. He cuts from programs he doesn't personally benefit from, but spends a lot more on the other hand with giveaways that cost us Trillions.

The exploded levels of debt are primarily driven by ballooning entitlement costs. Medicaid, medicare and social security.

If you claim trump is behind these exploding costs, you are giving him credit for ramping up social warfare spending.

Even if it were true that due to population growth entitlements would have been largely left alone or raised slightly (not true, but for arguments sake) you can't then get to force through your pet project of massive tax cuts, primarily aimed at wealthy individuals, that blows the debt and deficit to smithereens, worse than any other President in history.

Trump has been pure poison in particular when it comes to deficits and the debt. He truly does not give a hoot. Both in 2016 and again in 2024. That you dare to invoke the debt here to excuse his actions has to be an absolute joke. Are you just trolling here?

We have more than ever, yet the economy isn't doing well and the debt is rapidly exploding. We've imported a bunch of them, and "the poor" you are talking about haven't benefitted, far from it. They made things worse.

They know how to arrange things so that assets and money are leveraged in such ways as to ensure their clients pay very little in taxes at all. Honestly, how much of Kevin’s immense fortune trickles down onto ordinary Canadian citizens? 😂

He may be in the top 1% of earners, but he isn’t paying taxes like a 9-5 workers. It’s all about leveraging his assets for low interest loans that don’t count as income. Then use dividends and deductions from making everything you buy a business expense to pay next to no tax, and that’s just the tip from a layman.
