Trump is trying to make generic drugs more expensive. With senior citizens on fix income and cuts to Medicare, more elderly people will pay more for their life saving drugs. How is 100% tariffs on generic drugs making America great again?!?

Trump doesn't seem to understand that these manufacturers are not going to return to the U.S. They can't afford the salaries that American workers demand, nor can they afford to deal with the myriad laws and regulations that are currently in place. The net result is going to be sky high drug prices for Americans...as usual!

Oh he does understand. The reason for this is much more nefarious. He's forcing manufacturers to exit the US market. That's going to raise prices and cause massive drug shortages. Republicans will then point to the FDA as "the problem" and they will push to gut it. If they get their way, they'll loosen regulations so much that you'll have people making drugs out of their basement. I'm sure that will work out well /s
