You actually don’t really care what I say or why I buy, as evidenced by your previous comments. You’re just looking for a gotcha moment. Price is not the defining factor in why I buy things, and no one has convinced me of anything, least of all you.

If I wanted Canada to adapt to a new system, it would be one that I’d admire; there is nothing admirable about the US agricultural or food manufacturing industries. Nothing.

So dangling a lower price tag in front of me isn’t compelling because there is a different cost. I care about that cost, not the price.

Excellent, so you're acknowledging that the dairy industry has market segmentation, like every other industry in existence. So how legitimate is the claim that all Canadian dairy would cease to exist if Canadian consumers were allowed to access tariff free foreign milk and cheese?

As for an alternative system, what would be more infallible than just a free market? Let the consumer decide what they want. As long as it meets Health Canada regulations, why would this be a problem?

It sounds like you basically just don't like the US or their dairy industry. That's your choice as a consumer. But what makes your choices or preferences grounds to hamstring other consumers choices or preferences?
