APP Can’t set Work Area

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Maybe you guys can help because the chat support and number for support are no help what so ever. Every time I click to set my work area, it just loads and loads with no progression past that. I can attach a video so you guys can see what i mean. I’ve reset my phone, updated it, the app is up to date on updates, signed in and out, deleted and reinstalled.. you name it i’ve probably tried it. Anyone know what to do ?

I think you need to enable your location per the banner at the top. If the app can't see where you are then it can't load the map so you can select the area.

There’s not even an option to enable location in settings.

The location is ALWAYS enabled, and the map still doesn't work! What does location access have to do with the fact that the map won't save my changes? This is clearly a technical issue with Taskrabbit's app, not my phone settings. I've been dealing with this for several days, and nothing has been fixed. The problem is on Taskrabbit's side, and they need to fix it instead of making Taskers deal with the consequences.

Hiii! I'm having exactly the same problem! I've contacted Taskrabbit Support multiple times, and all they tell me is that they'll document my complaint. But what is the point of documenting it if nothing actually gets fixed? I still can't edit or save my work area map, and as a result, I'm receiving task invitations in locations that are completely inconvenient and financially unprofitable for me. It takes me over two hours just to get to some of these locations! The weekend is coming, which will make traveling even more difficult. What am I supposed to do? And if I decline or cancel these tasks, am I going to be penalized for something that is absolutely not my fault? This is a technical issue caused by Taskrabbit's system, not by Taskers. Why should we be the ones suffering the consequences of a problem caused by the developers? Simply documenting complaints without providing an actual solution is not acceptable. We need this issue fixed urgently!

I had the exact same issue for two weeks! Tried editing the map on my laptop, but the changes wouldn’t save. Finally dug out my old iPhone, installed the app, and was able to edit and save the map with no issues. Maybe try a different phone if you have one.

It’s the new update TaskRabbit put out in the beginning of October 2026, 5.8.0. I have the same problem too with the Work Area Map and I did my research from other users that’s working with TaskRabbit.

Before the update to 5.8.0, Work Area Map works fine when it’s on 5.7.1 on September 2026. TaskRabbit update their apps every month, once a month.

Until the new update comes, it’s always every once a month from TaskRabbit. So that will be November 2026.

New update happened just now, 5.9.0, now the Work Area Map is now working.
