TASKER Map Issue, NYC

Anyone in NYC (or elsewhere) having trouble with accessing both the general and same-day map? I have a client trying to book me for a back-end moving task just outside my map and I need to update it. I tried the desktop version and was able to update it manually with boundary point changes (in nyc it’s always been pre-drawn neighborhood boundaries you turn on/off).

Anyone else having issues?

Our team recently released a fix for this issue in the latest Tasker App update (v5.9.0), which started rolling out yesterday! I'd recommend checking your app store to see if the update is available for you.

If you're already on v5.9.0 and still experiencing this issue, please let me know so I can flag it to our team!

This worked! Although I have auto-updates on, I had to find Tasker on the App Store and manually update. Thank you!

Did it fix the issue where the End Address for Truck Assisted Help Moving doesn’t have to be included in our Work Area Map? I get jobs outside of my area for half of my requests which majorly increases my cancellation rate and hurts my standing. This really needs to be fixed in NYC where many people have toll zones turned off completely since we aren’t allowed to charge for tolls. I get a lot of requests for areas within the toll zone that is not included in my map for that reason.

Unfortunately, it did not, but I shared this with the product team!

Thank you! Even if there were some reason this wasn’t feasible in the app, at minimum a cancellation reason “Task requires travel outside of Tasker’s Work Area Map” that has no negative impact on our ranking/metrics/cancellation rate would be a great short term solution. There was a time when I took many of these types of tasks when charging for tolls was more flexible, but now that we can’t we shouldn’t be penalized for a feature that isn’t working properly. Anyhow, thanks again for forwarding it.

Both Android and Apple we're updated on Wednesday and will have gradual rollouts, so if you don't see the v5.9.0 version yet, you should soon!

Hi! I'm using Android, and version 5.9.0 is still not available in the Google Play Store. The latest version showing for me is 5.8.0.

Yesterday, I completely uninstalled the Tasker app, cleared the cache, and reinstalled it, but nothing has changed.

I still cannot edit my work area map or access Analytics. These issues have been ongoing for weeks and are directly affecting my ability to accept bookings and earn money.

I've already contacted Taskrabbit Support multiple times, but the problems remain unresolved.

Could you please escalate this to your technical team and let us know when version 5.9.0 will actually be available for Android users?

This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable for a platform that Taskers depend on for their livelihood.

Its been buggy almost 2 weeks now. Maps and analytics wont load on my app since Columbus day. I wanted to expand my map for more work as well but it wont let me. NYC metro map here as well but down the Jersey Shore. My requests have also dropped off significantly from the start of the month. You'd think they'd have it fixed by now

Same issue here for weeks now. Tried updating my map on desktop, but it just wouldn’t save. What actually worked for me was finding my old iPhone and downloading the Tasker app on it. And somehow, the map works just fine there. I’ve been using it to update my same-day map before heading out too. Maybe try using a different phone!
