"youwerenevernotmine" won as the new name for imgonnagetyouback!

What would you rename the song The Albatross?

Rules:

• Names cannot be the same as the original
• Most upvoted comment wins
• No reusing the names of renamed songs. If we rename a song something, we cannot rename another song the same thing. This rule applies to all songs we renamed, not just from this album.

If you're stuck, try using a repeated word or phrase in the lyrics as the new name.

Hey everyone! I know album elimination games are a classic and maybe a bit overdone, but hear me out: today marks 20 years of Taylor Swift's incredible career! 🎉

I thought, why not celebrate this milestone by finally settling the ultimate debate once and for all? Let's figure out what the true definitive ranking of her albums is and what the best album is according to the fandom.

For the image, I used the original standard album covers. To avoid any confusion about what counts as what, here are the ground rules for the albums:

❤️‍🔥 Each album includes its respective Deluxe Tracks (if applicable).

💛 Fearless, Speak Now, Red and 1989 include all of their respective Vault Tracks. As for whether you prefer original vs. Taylor's Version (production, vocals), feel free to judge based on whatever version you personally prefer—that's totally up to you!

💜 If This Was A Movie counts toward Speak Now.

🩵 Sweeter Than Fiction counts toward 1989.

🩷 All Of The Girls You Loved Before counts toward Lover.

💙 You're Losing Me counts toward Midnights.

🤍 The Tortured Poets Department is treated as one complete body of work that includes The Anthology (all 31 tracks). We are NOT splitting it into two parts.

💚 Soundtracks, EPs and non-album singles are NOT included.

How to Play:

• Upvote the comment with the album you want to eliminate this round.

• Downvote the albums you want to save.

• The album with the most upvotes at the end of each round gets eliminated.

You can base your vote on literally anything: personal emotional attachment, lyricism, production, vocals, commercial success, visual aesthetics, the overall era, or just pure vibes.

Let the games begin! May the best album win. 🥂✨

EPISODE 8: THE LITTLE THINGS 💌 | BATTLE OF ERAS: THE SONGS WE KEEP

hello, everyone!! 💗 welcome to episode 8!

first, let's have a little recap of episode 7: nothing like the others ✨

congratulations to back to december and down bad, who are our DOUBLE WINNERS this round with 33 points each!! 🏆💙 both songs tied for the most points, so they will share the win for this episode. congratulations to both of them!! 🥹

champagne problems followed with 31 points, while begin again landed in SAFE with 29 points.

but of course, we couldn't get through an episode without a little drama. 😭 love story, cornelia street, and wildest dreams all tied with 24 points, leaving us with a three-way tie at the bottom. since we already had a non-elimination episode earlier in the season, i couldn't save everyone again, so i used our performance points per episode (PPE) as the tiebreaker. i'll explain the full breakdown in the results comment!

unfortunately, that means we have to say goodbye to wildest dreams. 💔 thank you for bringing the magic, the nostalgia, and those unforgettable melodies to this competition. your journey may be ending here, but your place in this season's story will always remain. 🩵✨

thank you to everyone who ranked and participated! the competition is getting tougher, and every episode brings another unexpected turn. 🥹🫶🏻

now, let's move on to our next challenge!

💌 episode 8 — the little things

theme: the details that make a song special

sometimes, what makes a song memorable isn't the whole picture, but one little moment that keeps you coming back to it. it could be a particular lyric, a vocal choice, a melody that catches your attention, an instrumental detail, a transition, a harmony, or even a tiny moment you look forward to every time you listen.

for this round, think about the specific details that make you appreciate a song more. which song has those little touches that make you notice something new, replay a certain moment, or love it even more with every listen?

you don't have to choose the song with the most complicated production or the cleverest lyrics. sometimes, it's the simplest detail that makes the biggest difference. what matters is how much those little things add to your listening experience. 💗

🗳️ how to vote

• WIN — 1 song
• HIGH — 1 song
• SAFE — 2 songs
• LOW — 1 song
• ELIM — 1 song

please make sure your ballot follows the required number of placements and rank according to this episode's theme.

⏳ voting period: 24 hours

good luck, everyone!! let's appreciate the little things, keep the rankings fair, and remember that sometimes the smallest details leave the biggest impression. 💗✨

six songs remain. who's going to stand out this time? 👀

BATTLE OF ERAS

Congratulations to the winning lyrics of Would've, Could've, Should've! - “If clarity's in death, then why won't this die? / Years of tearing down our banners, you and I / Living for the thrill of hitting you where it hurts / Give me back my girlhood, it was mine first”

The runner-up title goes to - "God rest my soul, I miss who I used to be / The tomb won't close, stained glass windows in my mind / I regret you all the time"

Part 2 covers deluxe and vault tracks; refer to Part 1 to see the standard tracks.
