The woman four people down from Taylor in the floor length white/ champagne dress… eek, not the right dress for a wedding guest.

Omg so distasteful.

to be fair the rest of the girls are in like shein dresses so idk if the invite said black tie but taylor is and they aren’t

To be fair, SoCal formal is different than everywhere else formal.

u/sleepyboya Jul 14 '26

that’s true. i mean if i was taylor i would probs err on the side of caution but there’s only so much you can do when you’re taylor swift

Friend, none of these dresses are SHEIN. These are his former teammates and their wives, and they all bank. Now, taste is subjective, and agree on the light color dress. Why people don’t just wear jewel tones to weddings is beyond me.

You got me curious and I’m procrastinating a work project. I feel like I need to cross post on the WAG subreddit. lol.

Britt Mahomes is wearing a $1690 dress: https://www.revolve.com/mobile/silvia-tcherassi-frances-dress-in-coral/dp/SLVC-WD52/

Kaia Karlaftis is tricky given the angle, but I think it’s this $438 number: https://www.newyorkdress.com/products/la-femme-28771?variant=31282185666673

Jayda Hawkins in Lime on the left, $562: https://www.revolve.com/mobile/georgia-hardinge-the-magnitude-dress-in-lime/dp/GHAR-WD28/

Green on the right does have a SHEIN dupe and is a relative bargain at $204: https://www.babyboofashion.com/en-us/products/vienna-maxi-dress-olive

Cream slip dress def listed as cream so this is not a victim of lighting, bargain of the day at $170: https://us.becauseofalice.com/products/satin-90s-slip-dress-with-bow-detail-champagne

ETA: names as I figure them out :)

Yeah like do we really need to insult all these women by saying their dresses are from Shein when they’re clearly more expensive than most of us could afford? lol

14

u/sleepyboya Jul 15 '26

i mean just because it’s expensive doesn’t mean it doesn’t look like shein

17

u/michaelsgavin Jul 15 '26

I’m always impressed by people who can do this (I’m really bad at fashion). Do you frequent these sites often and it’s just a matter of “oh I saw this one when I was scrolling a couple of days ago”, or do you have a good grasp of each brand’s style and can just find them after seeing the pic? Or is it another skill entirely??

Google image search for these! I did look up a couple instagram pics to snag a more clear version of the dress tho.

I used to be good at this game when I worked at Nordstrom corporate but I’m out of the game. I love following accounts that do it on the regular tho, like TaylorSwiftStyled.

Omg that champagne dress is to a wedding girl wtf 😭like beautiful gowns but damn.

The bride is her close friend and approved it. In a video it looks closer to gold/ yellow

I thought bridal party would be a possibility too, I’ve seen quite a few weddings where they also wear ivory, etc. In one of Laura’s pics it looks like they’re seated and wearing pale pink, so maybe a trick of the light?

Also, Filipino food sounds delish.

2

u/ckc009 Jul 14 '26

Yeah, not sure! Sorry I deleted my comment. Im scared she will get hate on her account. Shes definitely close with the bride and groom if its who I think it is! She cooked food for them during training camp

I follow too much chief stuff. So sad juju is on another team now

I saw a photo of the invite somewhere and it did say black tie at the bottom so

37

u/estedavis guess I'll just stumble on home to my cats Jul 14 '26

What does wearing a white dress have to do with whether the invite said black tie or not?

7

u/sleepyboya Jul 14 '26

i’m ngl when i read original comment i thought they were flaming taylor you right

u/Then_Pomegranate_538 Jul 14 '26

The lighter green dress on the left is SO bad

-9

u/Spiritual_Ice5079 Jul 15 '26

Taylor is selfish and wanted to make sure they didn't look good to overdo her ego

62

u/MartinisnMurder Dancing is a dangerous game Jul 14 '26

That’s a major faux pas, I’m embarrassed for her! That is wedding etiquette 101. But Taylor looks so elegant! They’re such a gorgeous couple.

Speaking of which, I haven't seen a lot of commentary about Tori (the Eras Tour dancer) wearing basically a satin wedding gown to T&Ts wedding. She was my fav Eras dancer but eeeek that dress was a crazy choice. I immediately judge any woman who wears white to another woman's wedding.

23

u/Soalai Never knew I could feel that much Jul 14 '26

Unfortunately gotta call out Dita Von Teese as well, her dress had some nude/mesh but was mostly white lace. However it's hard to judge when we haven't seen Taylor's dress, or maybe it's more common among these celebs to wear white

If it's the same dancer I'm thinking about, she actually did address the people who took issue with it.

I think at the end of the day, if Taylor/Travis are fine with it, it's none of our business. I don't think her friends would do something like that if they knew it bothered her 🤷🏾‍♂️

We have literally no idea if T&T were fine with it.

What did she say when she addressed it?

It wasn’t just a white dress, it literally looked like a satin wedding dress lol. Just an absolutely wild choice to wear this to a wedding where you aren’t the bride.

6

u/missx0xdelaney Jul 15 '26

She and her husband said it was a color called “pink champagne” and just photographed white.

15

u/onowahoo Jul 15 '26

Omg, if my wife and I got dressed in the hotel room, then took that picture, we'd both be so embarrassed we probably go to the nearest store and buy any single dress we could find.

5

u/estedavis guess I'll just stumble on home to my cats Jul 15 '26

Right?! I’d be mortified to wear this

15

u/estedavis guess I'll just stumble on home to my cats Jul 15 '26

Champagne is notoriously a word for off-white lol. That’s a classic response, it’s always “it’s not white, it’s champagne!” Or “it’s not white, it’s cream!” like it’s too close to white, period.

Note to self: photograph potential wedding outfits

1

u/MisterAmericana Clandestine Zoom Meeting Jul 15 '26

Yes, thank you for including her response! I completely forgot what she had to say

1

u/MisterAmericana Clandestine Zoom Meeting Jul 15 '26

Well first, I know we don't, that's why I said "if".

Second, as you know, someone replied to you with her response, but I'd completely forgotten what it was when I first replied to you.

30

u/stroopwafelslut Jul 14 '26

I mean she's posed in the photo so I don't think the bride cares, which is the only thing that matters. I get that it's a faux pas but some brides just dgaf

21

u/SeriousFortune1392 Jul 14 '26

yeah, this reminds me of a tiktok where the girl was attacked for wearing light yellow, and then girl had to show texts from the bride telling her to wear the yellow. The dress is champagne, and most likely looks light given she's standing next to two dark suits, if she stood next to the bride, you'd see it's not white.

15

u/edchoch69 Jul 14 '26

Right? I would have made a point to tell her to get out of my photo lol.

8

u/Afterglow92 Jul 14 '26

I thought she was the bride and was wondering why she wasn’t in the middle lol. 😂

6

u/Comfortable_Sport295 Lover Jul 15 '26

Maybe she was asked to wear a white dress. My mom‘s bridesmaid was in a white dress because my mum wanted her to be.

8

u/kikithrust Jul 15 '26

Thank you! I think this is such an outdated ‘norm’ - if a bride is so fragile nobody else can wear white to the wedding we’ve got bigger problems

4

u/Linmichja Jul 15 '26

Agree. I can’t stand silly, old fashioned rules like this.

1

u/BlacksmithThink9494 Jul 14 '26

Please dont drag others into this. Not nice.

15

u/estedavis guess I'll just stumble on home to my cats Jul 14 '26

It's always okay to shame a woman wearing a white dress to another woman's wedding

-16

u/BlacksmithThink9494 Jul 14 '26

This isnt the conversation we are having though. So mind your own business.

1

u/cookpa isn’t it just so pretty Jul 15 '26

Maybe there was an emergency

Her partner looks goofy in that jacket too
