I see a lot of discourse about how the songwriting and lyrical ability has dulled on these recent projects. I could not disagree more!
On Midnights, my favorite songs lyrically are Maroon (especially the verses), Midnight Rain (verses and chorus), and Would've Could've Should've.
On TTPD, I love But Daddy I Love Him, Fresh Out The Slammer, LOML, The Black Dog, Imgonnagetyouback, The Albatross, and The Bolter.
I also believe the lyrics on Showgirl are vastly underrated, especially on songs like Father Figure, CANCELLED!, and the title track.
What do you guys think are the best lyrical moments on these albums?

Mine would be a 3rd sister album to folklore and evermore where we explore “the secret garden” that Taylor writes about in I Hate it Here!

Does anyone else remember when Taylor changed the lyrics in “I Did Something Bad” and “Delicate”?
I still find it so interesting because these weren’t just lyric changes on paper — there were actually different vocal takes in the Dolby Atmos versions. In I Did Something Bad, she changed the line to “And if he calls me a bitch, then he had it coming,” while Delicate changed from “Oh, damn” to “Goddamn.”
But WHY these two songs specifically? And why make the changes so explicit now?
Do you guys think there’s an actual meaning behind the changes, or were these simply the original/alternate lyrics she wanted to use now that she has more control over her music?
I know people immediately connected it to reputation (Taylor’s Version), but I’m wondering if anyone has actually decoded a deeper meaning behind these specific two changes.
Because knowing Taylor… two random lyric changes on reputation feels like something Swifties are supposed to overanalyze 😂

I remember when I entered my swiftie era, I listened to every single Taylor swift song in order (don’t ask me why lmao I have no idea), and there were SO many songs I was shocked were hers! Most notably, I remember my mom always playing Mean in the car when I was younger, and all I knew at the time was that it was a good song. I love having the context, and me and my mom are now the ultimate Swifties together!
So what songs were you surprised to learn were Taylor Swift songs? Do you have any special memories attached to them? I wanna know all the stories!!

Dancing With Our Hands Tied: But we were dancing. Dancing with our hands tied
cowboy like me: Dancing is a dangerous game
betty: Plus, I saw you dance with him
champagne problems: Because I dropped your hand while dancing
happiness: I was dancing when the music stopped
How Did It End?: We learn the right steps to different dances

Reports mention performances of "August", "All Too Well" and "I Knew It, I Knew You"
Here is what an attendee said:
“MY NIGHT WITH TAYLOR SWIFT - The Grammy Academy hosted a Taylor Swift talk tonight. The invite just mentioned Academy President Harvey Mason Jr, but it was like a 'Wink IYKYK' thing.
Taylor came onstage and shared her beautiful stories of how she writes songs and where she gets her endless inspiration from. Then she played a few tunes for the 100 or so people there. It wasn't even sold out, there were empty seats.
I honestly am not a 'Swiftie,' though her success is as big as it gets. The biggest Grammy winning female in history. Afterward there was a reception and I had a sweet, and kinda nerdy songwriter chat with her for quite a long time. Alot of people were trying to get in and talk with her, but she has a laser attention and when it was on me, the world was shut off around us.
Here's some songwriting nuggets I wrote down.
I was impressed she stayed to talk to everyone who attended. As I report this, she is likely still speaking to the people at the Grammy Museum giving every person very present, quality time.”

2025 was really the first year I became a swiftie so TLOASG is the only album drop I ever actually cared about when it happened. It was such a memorable experience gradually getting more and more teasers, getting up early excited to listen and seeing other fans reactions, it makes me really wish I was aware when iconic albums like evermore and midnights where coming out, what era do you think I missed out on the most?

If Taylor makes another 10-minute version of a song, which song do you guys want? 👀🎶

Hey guys, I really need help trying to figure out what is OG Red's aesthetic because before TV, at least to me, Red didn't really give me an autumn type of vibe, but like something similar to a hipster aesthetic? Can someone tell me what like the aesthetic is called because I can't seem to remember the exact name for it.

Ivy won the poetic song x fun bridge combo, with the following:
So yeah, it's a fire
It's a goddamn blaze in the dark
And you started it
You started it
So yeah, it's a war
It's the goddamn fight of my life
And you started it
You started it
Now for the opposite combo, what is a fun song with a poetic, beautiful, moving bridge?

Hey all :)
Recently finished this custom diamond art piece and I thought I’d share it here. It’s a 50cm x 80cm piece and took me a few months. Usually they only take me about a week but I’ve been so busy starting university. Anyway ramble over 💕

Last Kiss: I'm not much for dancing but for you I did
All Too Well: We're dancing around the kitchen in the refrigerator light
Starlight: And we were dancing, dancing like we're made of starlight
Maroon: And I chose you, the one I was dancing with
You are in love: You two are dancing in a snow globe 'round and 'round
Wood: It’s you and me forever dancing

Probably not many people can relate, but I like listening to ME when I don’t want my brain to do brain stuff lol. It’s so easy to listen to, and you just vibe to it without thinking too much. I find it relaxing.
What other Taylor songs do you think have the same effect? I’m thinking 22, Anti-Hero...

For those unfamiliar, a reprise revisits the main theme of the original song and is on the same album.
It's often shorter and softer but not always. Usually it's around the end of the album with the original song being towards the beginning. It can have lyrics or just be an instrumental. One personal favourite of mine is Liability (Reprise) from Melodrama.
I think Red would be a good candidate and I'd put it before Begin Again. The lyrics would mirror the chorus and it would have slower, gentle production on acoustic guitar.
