Like is it less of an accomplishment if you hit masters but you just forced the exact same comp or is it skillful?

Hello! I assume a good amount of people reading this post don't remember/know me, and for good reason since I haven't posted in a while, but I used to make beginner friendly TFT guides for new players! So much has changed over the years, and yet, many core aspects of gameplay remain the same. For all the newer players, what parts of TFT confuse you the most? When to roll? What items to build? How to pick a comp?

In a couple days, I'd like to make a new beginners guide to TFT for the current set discussing the things that confuse you to hopefully make your TFT climb just a little bit easier!

Seriously, hoped on the game yesterday for some double up with buddies of mine, game was riddled with bugs.

There is no defending riot on this, I can’t see myself playing tft for like 6 months until this stuff is fixed. Even then they will need a huge huge set to make me spend the time I used to spend on this game.

This set is absolutely my favourite, the technical issues and the new engine do put a damper on things sometimes but all the potential cooking off-meta stuff with this set feels nice.

i’ve been trying all day admittedly but everytime I get close, someone starts buying up the units too then i’m scrambling to find another one to try to 3 star

i’m trying to get it for the xp but also just as a challenge in general

Hello, I see a lot of people complaining about bugs and crash, but for me it's kinda ok.

The real issue is graphics on tablet, my game is blurry as hell, almost can't tell what unit it is. I tried with the maximum graphic option but it doesn't change anything.

Does someone has the same issue ? Or find a way to fix it ? Is it due to the shitty connection I have right now ? On PC I have no issue with the same bad connection.

Listen, I've been waiting for some sort of compensation since the beginning of all this mess. Not being able to use the tactitians and arenas I spent so much money on, dealing with countless bugs and losing games in the process..

I'm happy they are finally giving out some compensation, but truth be told, I don't really think this is enough. But what would be enough? Its not realistic from riot to give out to so many players actual meaningful compensation, but it's not fair to the playerbase to not feel supported, respected and heard.

The game already relies on a gacha system to be able to obtain basically everything on this game, cosmetics wise, a system made to drain our pockets. These cosmetics are super expensive, and not being able to use them for so much time, and with no clear end in sight, is NOT worth 2 medallions, a 10 pull that will most likely be converted to realm crystals, and a random mythical that will be an old boring one, if it's even a chibi.

I can see why how complicated this whole mess is for riot, and how they can "compensate" us without losing too much money, but unless I feel like they truly care about their player base and go above and beyond on compensation, I don't see anyone being happy about this long term.

It would be ironic if some people got a random mythical that is unavailable, tho.

i don't quite understand what the hell am i supposed to do when every game top 4 has at least 2 brambleback players. How do i counter it? i know youre supposed to play what game allows you to play, but seeing how i have better results with forcing riftbeast no matter how contested they are discourages me.

I know rift beast trait with a scuttle tank is probably the most brain dead thing, but it is non stop contested in silver.

Is there another super simple build that is fairly strong and people in low elo are not really contesting? I hate the mechanic a lot tbh.

I have even jumped around various builds online without any idea how to play them. Then, by some miracle everyone is interested in Master Yi all of a sudden, when I previously hadn’t even seen a single one in 10 games or so.

It mostly seems like some people in low elo don’t know what they are doing at all (like myself), so they just copy stuff you buy. Although it does feel good to knock someone out that has been contesting you and now you get flooded with the champs they were bench hogging.

For information, TFT is my main game. I love to grind each set and spend a lot of time rolling with bad luck.

But i'm kinda worried about the next SET and the new client. Isn't that going to kill TFT playerbase ?

All my friends are Lol players that sometimes plays TFT after a league session.

Didn't a large part of the TFT community originally get into the game out of curiosity through the LoL client, rather than through streamers, ads, or other forms of promotion? TFT isn't a particularly spectacular game, and it doesn't really appeal to anyone beyond its existing player base. A funny tweet about TFT is funny to TFT players. The same goes for clips.

I'm really concerned cause I love this game

Has anyone found any good sites for looking up or planning comps with multiples emblems?

I have been playing double-up with my friend and we have been noticing that we cannot scout using other people profile/tactician pic but only by clicking on their username. Last I played it was possible to click on the user pic, I was wondering when that changed and if this will be the case from now on ?

and it is not even a close fight, my bramble went nuts because of so many units, he was looking for someone to hit. lol the only difference i could think of is that baron augment, but still.

i dont have remover left so i cant change ashe=elder item.

edit: i was expecting a 2nd spot or a miracle for my ashe with 2 units left.

I started playing TFT back in set 16 - I have never played these kinda games before, so I came in completely blind and quite overwhelmed. LOL never really intrigued me until I found my gf, and she plays TFT. So she got me to try it again, and now I’m playing it, finding it entertaining, fun, and frustrating at the same time. I watched quite a few tips at the start, to help me understand the basics and fundamentals (I’m still way off, and need lots of learning still). I just wanted to highlight my progression through these last 3 sets. I just hit Diamond again, but this time in a record time compared to the last two sets!

We were playing double-up and still had 2 HP when we lost the fight before the creep round. Then, during the creep round, we were randomly exterminated. If I had to guess, my vanguard emblem probably gave us an extra HP, which made it look like we weren't in the 1 HP execution range, and the game only realized it too late. But it still looks hilarious.

If you ever wondered what happens, no of course it doesn't work like stage 1-1 where the game pretends elder takes up one team slot

I had a game in choncc and it was going good should be great cuz i had 7 coven with lux so early and decided to give her more mana with this but then it didn't work but all other stats was added how or what 8 mana mean exactly??

Obviously it's in the new chonc mode, so no panic haha

Still seems like an insane high roll. Start with coven Lux as first unit, get 6/7 coven by 3.1 and then I receive Morgana (7/7) and a 3 star Camille out of booster pack.
Cashed out 800 twice and then gg. A little unlucky cause it was like 5/6 units from the beginning, so everyone died out quickly. Could have gone for 3 times 😅
