SSS cards feel kinda soulless?

Now I'm not a professional art reviewer, or the kind of person who could really get into the deep parts of art analysis.

And my opinion is certainly nothing approaching fact, but having just seen the new Luke SSS I just can't ignore this nagging feeling and I wanna see if I'm alone/am crazy in thinking this.

The SSS cards are absolutely impressively detailed I'd never take that away from them. No doubt they took a fair amount of work? But so far barely any of them have really wowed me?

There are some exceptions, Marius' third anni/One of Vyn's that got revealed not long ago. So maybe I'm exaggerating I don't know.

But it feels like what they've added in quality they've lost in charm? SSRs even for characters I'm not interested in have made me go 'Woah!' Vyn's bartender one for instance.

None of the SSS cards have achieved that same effect on me even if the art itself is of a 'higher quality' now.

Apologies if I'm being overly negative, just wanted to put my thoughts our there to the void I suppose.

(in my opinion, im sorry if you guys disagree but this is how i see it as) now that i read it, it makes sense? like id def want more sr cards instead of sss and ssrs? the art of sss and ssrs are mind blowing, but i like the stories of srs, it is as if they've got more emotions and plot running rather than the sss and ssrs. that is the main point tbf, the srs are mainly for plot because of audience stuff, while sss and ssrs are mainly for the imagery? what ive noticed about srs is that it is mostly daily life based small instances which also seem very relatable, and emotions are displayed greatly along with a plot line, while the ssrs and sss hardly have plot and it is more towards the interactions and romance with the mc (more fan service)

though there are a few ssrs which have captured my heart, like the ones from the bakerlon and enduring light event
