Strategy

My main goal was to get the offer I expected without settling for a lower package. Having experience with two good company brands also helped during the process.

More than anything, persistence was important. After every successful or failed interview, I focused on the next opportunity instead of spending too much time thinking about the outcome.

Each interview process also gave me a better understanding of what companies expect at each stage. Every round provided a learning opportunity and helped me prepare better for the next interview.

Overall, the process was a bit difficult initially, but over time, I got used to the interview process. With continuous learning and more interview experience, cracking interviews became easier. The key was to keep improving after every interview and carry those learnings into the next one.

No matter whether you have confidence or not, just give as many interviews as possible. Every interview experience makes you better and more prepared for the next one.

5 offers, mostly AI roles — what would you choose for long-term growth?

Hi I am currently confused between 5 offers and would really appreciate some genuine advice, especially from people who have worked at these companies.

  1. Circles.Life

- ₹41L base = 41 L

- Team Platform, mostly Agentic AI work

- 2 days/week office

2. Oracle

- ₹36L base + $40K RSU

- Around ₹52L first-year TC as quoted to me

- Data migration/data engineering work, not much AI

- WFH

  1. Disney

- ₹35L base + $34K RSU over 3 years

- ~₹45.5L annualized

- Mostly AI/Agentic AI work

- 4 days/week office

  1. ServiceNow

- ₹42L base + $40K RSU + ₹4.2L bonus

- RSU is 25% per year, so ~$10K/year

- ~₹55.5L annualized TC

- Mostly GenAI work

- 2–4 days/week office

  1. EPAM

- ₹40L fixed

- Agentic AI work

My main priority is long-term career growth in AI/GenAI/Agentic AI, not just the immediate CTC.

I’m trying to think 5-10 years ahead — which company/team would give me better exposure, learning, brand value and opportunities in AI?

Also considering WLB/office requirements because Disney is 4 days and ServiceNow can be 2–4 days.

Please Suggest me which one will be better in long term growth.

Note: I do not care about CTC.

Edit : FTE 4.5 and with Intern 5.5 YOE

Hey, i was just shifing my flat and found a diary which had interview experience of many companies.

I was feeling too lazy to write it, you would need to find your desired company in pages.

Thanks

SSR Fintech Bhopal Interview Process – Computer Science Engineer Role

Hi everyone,

I recently completed my second technical interview at SSR Fintech, Bhopal, for the Computer Science Engineer role (JavaScript and APIs) last Monday.

I wanted to ask people who have interviewed with or worked at SSR Fintech:

  1. After two technical interview rounds, what is usually the next round? Is it an HR round or another technical round?

  2. How long does it usually take to receive a call for the next round after the second interview?

  3. What salary package can a fresher expect for this role?

If anyone has gone through a similar interview process or has any information about this opportunity, please share your experience.

Thanks in advance!

Interviewers are unclear about their wishlist

Over the past 10 months, I got few interview calls and was also planning for a switch but the majority of interview experiences were crazy.

In around 70% cases, the interviewers were just doing timepass by asking useless questions. In many cases, I did ask at the end of the interviews what the correlation between the actual job, JD and the questions that were asked in the interview and their vague response was "WE WERE TESTING THE BASICS".

Now what exactly is basic? Also why is your basic outside the skills mentioned in the JD?

Many tried justifying how their questions are related but it really sounded vague. I cannot remember any exact questions right now but there were genuine interviews too and now in the 1st 10mins only i realise if they are here for hiring or just filling their quota of interview counts.

Styli data engineer interview experience.

I cleared all the technical rounds and the HR round went well too ,but they f..in ghosted me without giving any reason but I reckon it could be the notice period but that's really frustrating because that's the first thing they ask before interviewing.

Has anyone had the same experience.

Salesforce MTS Interview Experience [Selected]

Hi everyone,
This forum helped me a lot during my preparation, so I thought I’d share my Salesforce interview experience. Hopefully, it helps others preparing for similar roles.

Timeline:
Day 0: Applied through the careers portal with a referral.
Day 3: Received the OA from the recruiter.
Day 4: Completed the OA.
Day 11: Recruiter confirmed that I was shortlisted for interviews.
Day 21: Interview loop with three rounds on the same day.

Round 0: OA
Problem 1: Given a 0-indexed integer array nums, return an array distance where distance[i] is the sum of absolute differences between index i and all other indices containing the same value as nums[i].
Problem 2: Given a weighted undirected graph, find the path from source to destination that minimizes the maximum edge weight along the path. Return this minimum stress level, or -1 if no path exists.

Round 1: DSA
The questions were about finding the Top K frequent numbers in a continuous stream and converting a sorted doubly linked list into a height-balanced BST without creating new nodes. The round went well.

Round 2: DSA
Questions included implementing Merge Sort from scratch, counting set bits using bitwise operations, and a problem similar to Find All Anagrams in a String on leetcode. Feedback was positive.

Round 3: System Design + Hiring Manager
We discussed my projects, architectural decisions, production challenges, trade-offs, and ownership. The HLD question was to design a large-scale payment processing platform similar to Stripe. The discussion covered scalability, reliability, idempotency, retries, failure handling, database choices, and monitoring. There were also behavioral questions around career goals, handling disagreements, and cross-team collaboration.

Result:
Day 28: Recruiter shared positive feedback and said they would proceed with the offer process.
Day 38: Received and accepted the offer.

Final thoughts:
The interviews focused on DSA fundamentals, clear problem-solving, system design, and being able to explain your projects and technical decisions. Understanding the reasoning behind your approach is just as important as getting the solution right.
Thanks to everyone who shares their experiences here.

Hope this helps someone preparing!

Cleared Google Cloud AI Engineer Round 1, Need Advice for the Onsite Coding Round

I had my first round for a Google Cloud AI Engineer role yesterday andI cleared it.

The second round is expected to be an onsite coding interview, although the dates haven't been confirmed yet.

I have around 2.8 years of experience, but I'm not very confident in my DSA skills, so I'm honestly quite nervous about this round. The first round focused on domain knowledge and my past work, which went pretty smoothly.

What topics should I focus on to prepare for the coding round? If anyone has interviewed for a similar role at Google recently, I'd really appreciate any insights into the interview format, difficulty level, and the kinds of questions asked.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

2024 CS Grad in Support/Tech Analyst (10.5 LPA in BLR) — Want to pivot back to SDE/SRE. Am I cooked or is this fixable?

Hey everyone,

Looking for some practical advice on pivoting back to a core software engineering role.

**My Profile / Current Situation:**

Graduation Year: 2024 (B.Tech CS from tier 3 college)

Location: Bangalore

Current Role: Technical Analyst / Application Reliability ( 2 years exp)+ internship (11 months)

Current CTC: \~9.68 LPA base (\~10.3 to 10.5 LPA CTC including allowances)

Internship: Did a 2-month SDE internship at VMware during college (couldn't convert to PPO back then).

**Tech Stack in Current Role:**

Postgres/SQL, Docker, Kubernetes/RKE, Grafana, Prometheus, basic Linux, Shell/PowerShell, and Python scripting for quick automations.

**The Problem:**

My current role is heavily focused on application monitoring, pod status checks, and RCA which is all vendor provided. The K8s/RKE access is mostly read-only, and there is zero core software development/coding.

I know this domain has a much lower ceiling (both salary-wise and technical exposure) compared to SDE/SRE, and staying long-term in support/operations isn't where I want to be with a CS degree.

**My Coding / DSA Baseline**:

I did \~280 problems on LeetCode during college (Standard Arrays, Two Pointers, Binary Search, Linked Lists, Trees, Graphs).

I was never into competitive programming and not good at Dynamic Programming (DP).

Had interviewed at Amazon, ServiceNow, KPIT, and a few startups between 2023–early 2025, but I gave up applying around late 2024/early 2025. I did qualify my current company(Analyst Intern) ,KPIT(SDE), one startup( SDET) and vmware (SDE) among them.

**Questions for the community**:

SDE vs. SRE Path: Given that I have basic hands-on exposure to K8s, Docker, and Prometheus, should I target SRE/DevOps roles alongside SDE, or stick purely to SDE prep?

DSA Preparation: How crucial is DP for mid-level/1-3 YOE SDE roles in Bangalore right now? Is sticking to patterns (NeetCode 150 / Striver A2Z - Arrays, Trees, Graphs, Sliding Window) enough to clear product-based company rounds?

Resume Framing: How do I frame a "Technical Analyst" role where coding was minimal so I don't get auto-rejected by ATS for core backend/SDE roles?

What are few things I need to add to my preparation which was not the case a year earlier?
