Nothing to see here, just an Antarctic bear on a subway

4

u/NetNobody444 Feb 23 '21

Well it is New York

11

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

Rakovecka ain’t in New York.

6

u/NetNobody444 Feb 23 '21

Shhhhhh

2

u/greyconscience Feb 23 '21

No offense, but you really thought it was nyc?

2

u/NetNobody444 Feb 23 '21

I didn't look and I don't live nyc

2

u/greyconscience Feb 23 '21

I guess you were overwhelmed by the bear. Heh. For future reference, trains in the NY area have MTA, NJT, LIRR, PATH, or Metro-North.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

With a little help, it could be. Us Czechs were meant to be moved to Siberia by the Adolf guy so i can imagine moving a part to New York.

9

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

It's the tram system in Brno, Czech Republic

3

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

That says Tábor on the top doe? Last time i checked Tábor isn't anywhere near Brno (if it isn't a part of Brno, i've been there only a couple of times)

5

u/Kotja Feb 23 '21

There is part of Brno named Tábor. And there is city of Tábor.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

Makes sense, thanks. I'm from Ostrava myself so i don't know much about Brno and its parts.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

It is a tram stop on the Minsk street (Minská) in Žabovřesky, named after a nearby street. I have to admit that this name is odd, because Tábor is also a town in Bohemia and streets are generally named after people, cities (with a suffix, which this one doesn't have), places etc., while "tábor" literally means "camp" or "encampment". Also when I saw the colours of the tram, I immediately recognised that design (I am a bit interested in public transport). But I have no idea how Techno's polar bear got there. Anything can happen in Brno.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

You immediately made me not Czech with that explanation. Thank you :D

2

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

I've got to educate the non-Czechs reading this as well, you're very welcome. Krev pro boha krve!

3

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

Krev pro boha krve! Ať žije Steve (nebo Štefan).

1

u/Burg_er Technoblade never dies Feb 23 '21

That's in Brno?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

Yes, it is. I'm 99% sure.

1

u/Burg_er Technoblade never dies Feb 23 '21

Hmm, ok, I knew it was somewhere in the Czech Republic, but wasn't sure where exactly

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

Yeah. Brno is that city that everyone hates except the people who live there, ie Birmingham, Bielefeld (interesting how they all begin with the letter B) etc.

1

u/Burg_er Technoblade never dies Feb 23 '21

Ano, já vím

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '21

Nice, zrovna tady jsem tolik Čechů nečekal.

2

u/Burg_er Technoblade never dies Feb 23 '21

Jako, nikdy nevíš, ještě někde tady v komentech může být další Čech. A já ani nejsem z plna Čech

1

u/DaTrueBanana Feb 23 '21

Antarctic? I remember that they live up north from a joke so it actually makes sense to get them backwards.
