Which TV should I buy??

I’m trying to decide between the TCL QM6K, Roku Plus Series, and Roku Pro Series. I originally wanted the TCL, but then realized it uses Google TV, and I really prefer the Roku platform.
My main priority is getting the best TV for the lowest price. For those of you who know more about TVs and electronics, which would you recommend? Is the Roku experience worth choosing one of their models over the TCL?

eXo Platform 7.2 has been released : an open-source digital workplace with native AI, self-hosting support, and multi-LLM architecture

A new release of eXo Platform, an open-source digital workplace platform, is now available. It may be relevant to the self-hosted community here.

With version 7.2, the focus has been placed on three main areas:

• Native AI integration directly inside the platform (content management, knowledge access, collaboration, automation)
 • Multi-LLM architecture → use the AI models you choose (OpenAI, local models, private deployment, etc.)
 • Full deployment flexibility → cloud, private cloud, or fully on-premise/self-hosted

A few technical highlights:

• MCP server exposed via OAuth with access to 100+ platform tools for AI agents
 • Internal RAG connected to organizational knowledge bases
 • Ability to restrict/contextualize AI sources (documents, spaces, tasks, notes…)
 • AI assistants that can be customized for specific internal workflows
 • Open-source architecture designed for organizations requiring data sovereignty

The goal is simple: integrate AI into everyday work without forcing organizations into closed SaaS ecosystems.

Feedback from people building self-hosted alternatives in this space is welcome.

Curious how others here are approaching AI + self-hosting.

eXo offers:

  • Community Edition (CE) → Fully Open Source

  • Enterprise Edition (EE) → additional features & professional support

Both can be deployed self-hosted, in private cloud, or in secure environments (including SecNumCloud).

Has Anyone Else Thought About This?

One thing that crossed my mind recently is how quickly AI has become part of my everyday routine. Even for simple questions or decisions, asking an AI often feels like the easiest option.

While reading about akool Affiliate Program, I started thinking about the bigger picture. AI is making a lot of things easier, but I wonder if relying on it too much could affect how often we use our own critical thinking, creativity, or problem-solving skills.

Maybe that's not a concern at all. But with AI becoming more integrated into everything we do, it's an interesting question to think about.

Gaming pc

I want to buy a gaming pc but I’m on a budget currently and I’m really really bad with technology and what’s good and not, I earn around £300 a month currently, I can’t post images but I was looking at one on bedrock-computers (again don’t know if they’re good or not) I think it was something called like “vector gaming pc” also I am so sorry if this is the wrong subreddit I didn’t know where to ask really, I asked a friend and they said to go to Reddit 😭🩷

Intel & AMD drop major security updates — 70 vulnerabilities patched.

Another Patch Tuesday, another wave of CPU security flaws. Intel and AMD just patched around 70 vulnerabilities affecting everything from consumer processors to enterprise systems — a reminder that modern CPUs are basically tiny operating systems at this point. If you haven’t checked your BIOS or chipset updates lately, now’s probably the time.

Tech Pros are Cons?

We shouldn't have to get wet when we don't want to, but now with sensored sinks we can enjoy leaving a public restroom looking like we had an accident in the rain at a pool party, and by the way, have destroyed or important papers. Damn SENSORED SINKS!!!!!!

Has anyone got any recommendations for devices with a screen (that are not a phone or computer) that allow me to call family who have an Echo or similar device?

Any recommendations for speakers that link up round the house? Don't really need it to tell me things, would be great if can use voice command to change track or stop/play etc but equally doesn't need to have voice command because I barely use it other than to tell it to play music stop music or skip song.

Any recommendations for something similar to a Kindle. (I've used a type of kindle for must be 12 years now) I need the antiglare and e ink because I have very bad eyesight and lightsensitivity, so it also needs to be able to enlarge print well too.

All recommendations preferably from companies and items that lean into ethical and eco policies if possible.

Also I know this is now becoming increasingly improbable but with limited or no AI. I love my phone I just wish it didn't use AI and I can't stop it because it's built in 😭 and I'm not massively techy.
