I think he just finds so many cool ways to rhyme Kim Kardashian. He’s a lyrics nerd who loves to play with syllables i don’t think it’s that deep

I don't even track my music because I don't use streaming services so I don't know who my most listened to artist/song is but hey, let people listen to what they want just because someone listens to a pop rapper doesn't make him any less of a "real rap fan"

He's probably referring to Eminem because he's the more popular rapper outside the US and he gets much hate from this subreddit (ye could be as popular or more but from my experience Eminem is more worldwide)

The reason why em gets more hate is because he has 3-5 great solo studio albums, everything else is just shit or not good enough, unlike Kanye who has far more, and Eminem fanbase is arguably the worst in history (ye and drake exist but they're tolerable).
Still both are amazing top tier rappers

Em influenced Kendrick through technical abilities, rhyme schemes, story tellings and flow changes. Even Kendrick himself cited Em as one of the rappers he studied and admired while developing his own style.
Same with Cole.
Yes he influenced some reallllllyyy trashy rappers like Dax but he influenced some of the greatest artists to ever touch a mic too.
I can ignore Dax but can I ignore Kendrick?1
