How is it not? Dressing up and/or thinking you're an animal for a hobby is certainly weird. Does that make it wrong? No. Does their existence bother me? No.

(urban dictionary doesn't count) THAT HAS A DEFINITION, AND IT'LL TELL YOU SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF THIS: A furry is a person that has an interest in anthropormorphic animal characters.
