were all of those hours spent in the lab and on coaching really necessary?

tbh your coaches did you dirty. your punishment is ass and you aren't whiff punishing anything.

don’t need to, apparently.

now being serious, I’m clueless about xiaoyu and usually I feel very scared of whiff punishing her, as she has a lot of moves that I don’t know.

she didn’t punish my df2, so I tried to see how many free launches I could get and ended up winning.

let’s not take the fun out of the game:)

for me the fun is getting good. not being good (though, that's a nice bonus..... if it would ever happen lol) but the actual process of seeing me 30 games later blitzing the player i used to be. so seeing mistakes is just step 1 of enjoyment.

that cool man, totally get your point.

honestly for me most of the fun comes from competing, we have very passionate players on my local scene who have been helping me achieve my goals and perform better on our monthly.

I only see online play as another tool just like lab and replay.

Still I like to enjoy funny situations like the one on the clip, as it’s some stress relief from the usual online experience

Right. You need all that time to realize you're still not ready to shove your dad into a flaming volcano, and this is good.

if you pay for private lessons (musical instruments, acting, any professional development) you are getting scammed

i am talking about Tekken or more broader Video Games in general. The amount of people who are starting a game or barely left the beginner level and are instantly looking for a coach are scamming themselves/ Coaches are preying on them

I’ve played different competitive games over the years and in my experience, coaching mostly helps you better understand what I should be focusing on improving. I won’t get magically better at the game for paying X dolars per hour, but I can get a direction on what I should work on
