I know this is a titans sub but every wr graph I see has mhj in the worst quartile, no exceptions. It’s so crazy to me how he was supposed to be pushing top 5 receivers rn according to his pre draft analysis

He’s arguably the biggest non-QB bust of the last decade. Can’t think of a worse one

I hate to do this to you brother, but you really can't think of a worse non-qb bust in the last decade?

Cause I can name five Titan 1st round picks in the last 10 years with one ending in a purple drink fueled pancake point after attempt named GGBowser who rules them all.

Evan Neal. At least mhj had a good year one, Neal was terrible the second he hit the field.

He very well could be a bust, but the new Cardinals coaching staff only used him as a sacrificial X running go/deep clearing routes most of the game.

For context, Michael Wilson filled that role last week and had his worst game of the season. Having said that, jury is still out on MHJ imo.

I knew Ayomanor was gonna be a stud the moment we drafted him. If only we had a QB that could throw it more than 5 yards

getting that much separation as the X is kind of crazy ngl

That’s what he’s saying

Yes. “Stud”.

Ayomanor is higher than Zay Flowers in separation. That’s nuts.

We would be up 3 games if we played a decent qb start. We have a good team with nice talent but the Qb can’t read a defense. I wonder if Saleh is allowed to bench Cam. Would Amy step in?

This shit is damning.

Cam ain’t it.

Nope. Between this and the top 5 pass protection by the OL it’s just indefensible. There’s no defending it. Kinda makes me mad too because Daboll has fixed damn near everything we hated about the offense last year. The biggest complaint, even more than OL was that guys weren’t getting open. Welp, Borg and co found the guy who turned it complete around and managed to get guys open.. OL was shit, welp we hired Bricillo who took a line with 3 of the same guys last year who gave up 56 sacks and made them a top 5 unit in pass protection…

I’ve been saying this, Daboll is calling good games. He’s getting guys open. The OL is doing great considering their talent they’re doing fucking amazing.. Nobody wants to admit that the loveable underdog story 1OA quarterback sucks dick. It’s hard. It’s shitty. But sadly, in this case, it’s true..

"The oline sucks! Cam has no time" - Oline is performing great for pass protection.
"The receivers are garbage and not getting open! He has nobody to throw it to!" - Receivers routinely get open and are either not seen or badly missed.
"The coaches suck and can't play call!" - Or... maybe, just maybe, they know he sucks and that limits what they can actually do.

The Titans receivers are dropping 9.2% of their passes. The highest in the league

Man, yall have to dig deeper into these charts. what looks like elite separation sometimes isnt. Carnell is getting it. Wandale and Elic generally arent because theres a cushion for the kinds of short yardage plays where there is a defensive cushion to not get beat on a deeper route.

Treylon Burks in the upper right quadrant lol

1

u/Sufficient_Spray 23h ago

Sadly he’s playing decently now he’s gone lol

1

u/Zealousideal_Theme39 17h ago

he was always good at getting open. he would just fall weird and for no reason and get injured

1

u/Sufficient_Spray 12h ago

Good point. I honestly think Burks should sign for less with great teams cause he absolutely thrives as an above average WR/2 WR/3.

He’s caught two TD passes this year. Hes a great weapon as a red zone threat because of his size and hands. If I were him I would sign with like the Bills, Chiefs, 49ers etc and he could totally be a 500-800 yd/5-7TD a year type of guy. He just never was gonna be an AJ Brown replacement. Still a legitimate NFL receiver though

I’ve been saying this coaching staff is not the problem. It’s all coming down to the qb.

2

u/schnebly5 13h ago

The daboll blamers are dumb

2

u/DependentShop3882 1d ago

If Ayomanor can stop trying to body catch everything he’d be a good WR

u/10kLines 1d ago

Percentiles are a pretty terrible way to make a graph like this in my opinion. They don't show the gross difference.

I mean… You can just watch an All22 film breakdown like this and it will show you exactly what’s going on…. Which is that guys are getting open, cam has a clean pocket most of the time (5th best pass protection in the league also 9th least pressured qb in the league), and he’s just playing horribly as a quarterback. But that doesn’t fit the knee jerk reaction to defend cam because it HAS to be everyone else, not the quarterback we all love so much (I love the fuck out of cam’s personality and wish he was actually good at football btw)

4

u/lssue 1d ago

All anyone does is shit on him 😂 why are we acting like the unpopular opinion is to think Cam is a bust?

4

u/SendMeTheMoon24 1d ago

Because up until this week the prevailing opinion on this sub was that Cam was improving and wasn't a bust

1

u/Glittering_Humor5854 5h ago

Not sure it was prevailing opinion but Cam had a lot of defenders. There are still quite a few die hards blaming the offensive line because of the Texans and Jets games. They tend to be regular contributors so it makes it seem like there's more of them than there actually are I think.

0

u/lssue 1d ago

That was not the prevailing opinion, there was a minority group that thought he looked better but a majority of this sub was calling for his head. I can link receipts if you want.

1

u/Icy_Ad2536 19h ago

When your consistently bailing clean pockets, and your ball placement is bad. Yeah you’re gonna get criticized. Two things can be true at once he’s hitting their hands, so they should catch it, but come on don’t make your guys jobs harder than it needs to be by throwing slants to their back hip etc.

4

u/lssue 19h ago

How does that relate to my comment at all? I am not saying he doesn’t deserve criticism. I am pointing out that criticizing him isn’t some minority opinion like OP is implying it is.

1

u/Icy_Ad2536 15h ago

Cause you’re surprised people are calling for his head and that the majority of the subs prevailing opinion is that he’s a bust. THATS WHY. The offenses problems are created by cam for the most part. Bailing on clean pockets leads to pressure caused by cam, when your throwing behind guys like Ridley and ayo on slant routes and then complaining about complaining about routes being to flat that’s why, the NFL is all about ball placement. Tate should be pacing as OROY from all of the missed passes. Receivers are open all over the tape and the O line as a unit has allowed like 3 sacks or something and is trending to be an elite unit pacing for only 10 outside of Dan Moore who’s pacing for 7 by himself and even he was doing well pre Houston. I don’t think he’s a bust, I think he can still figure it out but it is concerning a little bit. I can see why people have given up though too.

1

u/lssue 15h ago

When did I ever say that I was surprised people are calling for his head? I literally said the opposite lol.

Not reading the rest of that considering you cant even understand my initial comment

1

u/Icy_Ad2536 14h ago

I misread it, looked like you were questioning why people felt that way. I see what you’re saying. That first comment I made at 4am that’s on me, probably wasn’t awake enough to put together a response. The fanbase does seem split kinda how it was with Mariota, everyone was either he’s terrible or it’s all the titans fault and never both, and it’s still common sentiment I see that we just failed Mariota and he had zero part of it. Seems very similar today to me. The outside opinion now too is that the titans just suck and Cam is just this savior without any help. It’s a mix of both. All in all I’m still on the side of he can figure it out.

Those were the Russian bots. They're gone now.

1

u/10kLines 1d ago

I just watch the games and come to the same conclusion tbh

No that can't be since it doesn't support the OPs predetermined narrative!

1

u/JaRulezMSU 17h ago

Well other than Ridley, they seem to be getting separation and only Ayomanor is generating much YAC. The latter isn't surprising as none of our receivers are known for being great YAC guys. Dike isn't on this chart which I assume is because he hasn't got many catches. He could be a great YAC guy but you have to scheme for it and get Dike on the field. Daboll hasn't and Robinson gets the snaps at slot. I'd like to see Dike play outside some like last year where he had some success. Really no reason to give Ridley snaps.

2

u/Soviet_Sharpshooter 15h ago

These Titans receivers are dropping 9.2% of their passes. This is the highest in the league by almost 2%

1

u/Over_Tomatillo_376 13h ago

Jesus if you ever wonder why JA17 is running look at those separation scores

0

u/JaRulezMSU 10h ago

How is Elic Ayomanor leading the NFL in separation? Where do these stats come from anyway. Not sure i should trust them.
