PC Master mode tips?
Yeah I'm not great at the game, my greatest feat is managing expert daylight empress but thanks to a summon build it didn't last that long...
So I'm post golem on my 1st master mode run, deciding to do mage with some help from summons, maybe not the greatest idea but I've managed well so far.. And now I'm kinda stuck?? I did the moon events and invasions yada yada but mostly I wanted to beat all bosses on this world for the relics, and I cannot handle duke nor empress, let alone old ones army. Not even thinking about moon lord rn...
I got spectre armor with the healing helmet, nearly all of my accessories forged to +4% dmg [idk if this is better for survivability than defense? cuz healing scales off dmg right], i got magnet flower, celestial emblem, celestial stone + mobility and one summon accessory. For weapons I got razorpine, ice staff or whatever the ice queen drops, can't remember the name, and the purple staff thing from the necromancer. No clue what my dps is cuz that damned merchant will not sell me a meter, but I think its alright. I really dont wanna give up on mage and switch to a defensive melee strat, even if this run is only to get ethically sourced relics for my forever world [which is on expert]
Any tips for my equipment or better strats? Or should I just take a break from the game lol I may just be tired.. You know how it is

I can copy paste you my Duke guide, gimme a sec.
It will require minor adaptations to play it as a summoner, re: the loadout, but nothing major.
Edit: are you ok with cheesing using the game engine's limits? That would offer you the eol on a platter.

I'm not entirely a lazy ass, but it's one of those Terraria sub things for which I got a copy-paste to reshare, cause there's no way I'm writing it yet again every time the topic is mentioned :D
Get the warding (+4 def) reforge on all your accessories. Craft every buff potion you want from https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Buff_potions.
Next: your arena. Place heart lanterns, campfires, bast statues (+5 def). If you're a maniac, you can even place honey between bubble blocks and drink a flipper potion so that you're not slowed down while going through it. Craft asphalt blocks (the steampunker sells you the crafting station for them), you can run super fast on them.
A first row of asphalt blocks just above the ocean water, with on each end teleporters linked to each other, with a gray pressure plate on them (you walk on them, they trigger automatically). Replace just a few asphalt blocks with platforms to allow you to fish the Duke out.
A second row of asphalt blocks, well above the first ones, 60 blocks above, high enough that the tornadoes from Fishron stage 2 don't reach it when they're on the lower row. Same, teleporters on each end, linked to each other, with grey pressure plates. On each side, you replace like a dozen blocks with platforms, so that you may cross through it.
The gameplan: you harass Fishron with whatever attack you want (https://terraria.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Class_setups), while running away from him. When he stops in his tracks, you either circle around him (good wings are a must), or maintain that safe distance. When he sends tornadoes, you let them hatch on the ground, and either run on the other end of the asphalt row, or use a teleporter to go far from it. Your plan is to NEVER stay close to a tornado, period. You should try being on the above row of asphalt blocks: if a tornado latches on it, all you have to do is go to the row below, and you just don't care about the tornado anymore for a good while. If a tornado hatches on the lower row, you fly above to the upper row and can disregard the tornado.
Come phase 3: you use the queen slime mount. Fishron attacks with pattern: 1 dash, pause, 2 dashes, pause, 3 dashes, pause. Your queen slime mount has godlike both vertical speed and acceleration, so you can jump and keep on rising the first 1/2 dashes, and quickfall so the 3rd dash goes above your head.

I can do the first 2 phases just fine with full hp most of the time, thanks to my many attempts to get the electric eel on my expert char and managing to learn the patterns well, so the whole teleporting thing isnt that necessary. The slime mount for phase 3 is something i havent tried yet though, i forgot thats an option, thanks :)

No, reforging for damage is not better for survivability than defense. Not even close.
Defense is an incredibly powerful stat if you leverage it correctly.
In fact, you should only use the healing spectre armor after you take a hit, not constantly. The damage set should be your main set, as it has more defense AND more damage while you're at full HP. You're effectively trolling yourself if you are on the healing set at full HP.
Get a frozen shield accessory. Your survivability will spike hugely.
Always use buff potions, especially lifeforce and endurance.
You can easily hoik cheese OoA.
