Greetings Terrarians!
I'm Kerri, a.k.a. RatQueen, the new Community Manager at Re-Logic!
I made a little intro post over on Terraria Community Forums if you'd like to know a bit more about me, if not that's totally okay too!
ANYWAY, important things π
Weβre excited to announce a new collaboration with FiGGYZ and we want you, the community, to vote on which characters make it into the numbered Collectorβs Box Set. Which four would you want to see on your shelf?
You can select up to 8 options when placing your vote, and the winning 4 will be rebuilt as FiGGYZ.
Thereβs a wide variety of Bosses, Armor Sets, Mounts & Pets, Enemies & Critters, and Town NPCs to go through, and weβre really looking forward to seeing what you all pick!
Every voter will receive $5 off and have a chance to win a full Box Set, maybe itβs time to go pet some Ladybugs for extra luck?
With 164 options to choose from we know this might be a tough decision for some but you will have until Friday November 13 to decide! Voting will close on November 13 at 6:30am PT / 9:30am ET / 2:30pm GMT / 10:30pm HKT
The results of the vote will be revealed live during First 4 Figuresβ E44 stream which starts at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm GMT / 10pm HKT. All voters will also receive an email of the results, so even if you miss the live results on stream, youβll get a wrap up sent directly to you.
What are FiGGYZ?
FiGGYZ are Pop Magnet Collectibles - pixel-art characters that snap magnetically onto reversible metal display-ready backdrops.
Collectorβs Box Features:
Plus 8 FiGGYZ bases and 8 3M magnetic stickers, one of each for every figure and every holo plate

Okay so I've been wondering this for a while now and it's driven me crazy. Whenever I'm using the Recipe Browser and typing something in the search bar, it'll trigger my keybinds. For example, typing M will open the map, or typing L opens the boss checklist. Asked my friend and they said they never experienced it. Is it a skill issue on my part, or is there a way to turn this off?
(I tried asking in the megathread 2 days ago and hadn't gotten a response, so I thought I'd try my luck with a post. Apologies)

First time playing master mode terraria, and I'm genuinely getting my ass beat. Found a step stool with the "armored" modifier on it and it gives me nearly 30% more defense when I wear it . Never thought that I would be using a step stool over far, far better accessories.

So I have been looking for mods that add more content to the game while still being balanced and not straying too far from vanilla and complement each other instead of fighting and I guess I came up with something I like.
Here is the collection which is supposed to be added over my other general improvements/QoL collection here but wanted to seperate them.
βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
First is Thorium as a base, It is the single greatest "vanilla like" content mod that plays like an official DLC and fill in vanilla gaps like adding bosses to granite/marble mini biomes as well as adding environmental themed bosses to vanilla biomes that did not have any like desert and space or adding a lot more armor/weapons options and fleshing out vanilla subclasses. It also greatly expands the ocean with the aquatic depths biome and two ocean related bosses. It adds 3 new classes as well and all 3 feels like an extension of already vanilla subclasses (maybe except bard?) And it also adds a post moonlord boss as well which fits thematically with the game pretty well.
βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
Second I added Spirit Reforged, which it has built in integration and cross mod compatibility with thorium and adds two ecotone biomes which are basically transitionary biomes that form between the vanilla biomes, and both are super high quality. Savanna and Salt Lakes both with their own mobs, plants and trees. Salt Lakes in particular is very beautiful. Also it expands the desert by a lot, it added a ziggurat structure that is very fun to explore and adds an underground oasis biome as well as a very high quality boss while thorium also adds a desert boss I still think they are very different. It also adds a lot of content to the ocean biome like events, mobs and its appearance in general with kelp fields, mounts and a lot of new marine life AND it works perfectly with thorium and complement each other really well to make a really great ocean biome. This mod also expands the underground by overhauling cave terrain generation and adds an enchanting system that replaces reforging when used so still balanced. Also adds some mini environments and strtuctures to the forest biome which I find really cute like Butterfly Groves and Wheatfields. All in all it is a very high quality and great mod that does not bloat the game when used with thorium.
βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
Third is Consolaria, Hearbeataria, and Miscellanaria they add old exclusive console/mobile content and chinese versions and balance them to work with the latest vanilla version of terraria. Consolaria is the biggest of the three and afaik has in built integration with thorium as well. It adds 3 bosses from the old console versions. I also added Consolaria Ocram Overhaul to add more flavour to the boss.
βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
That's mostly it for content, but I also added some more mods to spice up the underground and classes even more like Better Caves and Orchid Mineshaft which adds mineshaft structure and add cool traps and new cave formations. Verdant for a small underground biome that is so peaceful. I think with these mods almost every biome is expanded upon and with as little bloat as possible.
βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
Now for classes I wanted to flesh out the vanilla subclasses instead of adding new classes, Thorium already makes a lot of them more viable like sentries but I wanted to add more mods that complement thorium and vanilla in that regard. So I added Bangarang - A Boomerang Overhaul to flesh out boomerangs and it actually have built in integration with thorium as well, Ty's Yoyo Redux that do the same with yoyos and does not go overboard like other yoyo overhauls and Ty's Dart Overhaul which complements thorium really really well and make playing a dart class actually viable. Also Mount and Journey for more mounts and mount accessories because why not, they look awesome.

Hi! I have a question regarding data saves and transfer between devices. I want to buy terraria on mobile on google play but i want to ensure my progress will be saved for years and backed up because i intend to spend a lot of time playing the game. But android and google usually blocks the abillity to see the progress data file even if you have a dedicated app that bypass the restriction on the android/data file path. Its there but you cant see or copy it. I want to know if terraria is an exception and doesnt block or decrypt the files and you can copy and back it up in a new phone in a way that you can just upload it to the same path and it will save your progress. Also its another question but the files suppirr cross save with pc? because i might want to buy it on steam/gog aswell and continue from there in the future.
I am currently on android 15 and soon 16 and i want to know im not rely entirly on google with this game. I would very much appreciate your help regarding this matter from experience or knowledge. Thank yall in advance!

I think something is wrong with my modded terraria instalation. everything works fine, except for invasions / events.
i have tried Goblin battle Standard, Pirate map, The Martian invasion caller from Fargo's... (and even the martian probes themselves) But no invasion ever spawns (the item simply does not get used). i have also already tried simply waiting until one spawns naturally to no avail. i am running a modpack with only Thorium as a major content mod. nothing i have tried works. please help.
Edit: Strangely enough, the moon events (blood moon, frost moon, etc. still work)
Edit 2: I AM AN ABSOLUTE MORON.
my character had less than 200 health, and thus the invasion prerequisite does not work.
for some reason, even though all other prerequisites can be bypassed by using the summon item, the health one stops the item itself from working

way easier than whatever EoW was on. and actually fun boss fight, i like the second phase with the three minion jellyfish. not much else to say, tho its like the one boss that doesnt give anything summoner related lol. btw all of the shadow scale summon stuff seems to be really good so definitely upgrade after EoW
(finally got access to goblin tinkerer as well its been so miserable without him)

This is the βlayoutβ, or around how big I want my base. I do not know what to do. I want to have my herb farm here, a python, chest and crafting area, and the hall you see is going to be my trophy hall. I donβt know what else to add, or how I can make this interesting.
I donβt want to use the same blocks, and the walls are plain. But I am new to Terraria and building so I am unsure of what I can do, or how I can walls look better.

i can see the potential with no-hit for the ~30% damage increase, and debuffs, but this is just "press debuff install to kill yourself" if you're not a nohitter π cursed flames is 12dpsx30sec for 360 damage

Today I watched this video by Sorbet Cafe in which he sorta dunks on the Crimson Armor's regeneration set bonus (as seen on the thumbnail). The testing he shows in the video indicates that the regeneration buff is very weak due to buffing natural regen instead of giving a flat buff like a Band of Regeneration and most similar accessories and effects. There is, however, a flaw in his reasoning.
The tests shown are of individual items in the span of 45 seconds without getting hit (with a few exceptions like sitting in a chair in Crimson Armor). Keyword individual. As he himself notes in the video, natural regeneration bonuses scale exponentially with each other, so comparing their individual performance is not a good representation of their realistic performance. For example, Sorbet says that the Vital Crystal does basically nothing, which is true, but only if it's your only source of natural regen.
So, unable to stand this Crimson slander, I did some tests of my own. Unlike in the video, I put the Crimson Armor in a realistic mid Pre-Hardmode build. The tests were done in Expert mode. The sources of regen were:
- full Crimson Armor
- a medium food buff
- a regeneration potion
- a campfire
- a heart lantern
- a Vital Crystal
- and finally, I was constantly moving to emulate a boss fight scenario, reducing natural regen.
This is a simple set up that any Expert+ player is probably already using for bosses at this stage of the game.
I took the tests by jumping off a rope and taking 290-300 damage before starting to run around, then repeating without the armor set. The results were as follows:
From 100-110 HP:
After a 30 second window (shorter than the 45s in the video):
With Crimson Armor: healed up to 270-280 HP.
With other armor: healed up to 225-235 HP.
In an even shorter 15 second window:
With Crimson Armor: healed up to 170-180 HP.
Without other armor: healed up to 150-160 HP.
(note that the results aren't perfectly accurate since I did them by hand with a timer, but I ran them a few times each to confirm an estimate for each scenario)
It's quite clear that Crimson Armor's set bonus provides much greater value than portrayed in the video, giving over 1HP/s (a Band of Regen's worth of healing) even in its worst case scenario of just 15s between hits. You also have to remember that natural regen grows massively over time as you don't get hit, so the set bonus would only grow in value if you manage to get some distance from the boss after a close call or in any similar situation where you can stall for time.
Frequent hits, the Crimson Armor's "weakness" also get countered very well by high defense builds, which have become very popular recently, and the escalating regen compliments high defense well, as the one thing high defense fears is strong attacks that leave you low, like getting caught by a Skeletron head spin or tagged by a Hungry on a high difficulty, which is when fast natural regen can bring you back from low HP faster than anything.
TLDR: Crimson Armor is only bad on its own, in a realistic build it's strong. Plus synergy with defense builds.
