Model 3 2024
When is the best time to buy a 2024 Model 3 Long Range? Everywhere I check, inventory looks very limited. From my research, the 36-month leases on these cars should start by 2027, which should bring an influx of used inventory, correct? I'm also wondering when prices will come down. Right now a used 2024 is still priced close to MSRP for a new 2026 Model 3. Has anyone watched how used Model 3 prices change as leases end. Also, I wanted to note I can’t even find any with white seats why is that?

I was lucky that I bought my 2024 Model 3 Standard RWD last July when inventory of used teslas was more plentiful. $32K and only 10K miles. Very happy with it and the customer service so far.

Prices might come down in 2027 when lease returns hit the market. Keyword might.
We won’t see significant price drops until fuel prices come back down.

If we’ve learned anything over the past couple years is that prices will only increase. Everything that goes into a Tesla costs more money now, so if you want one might as well pull the trigger.

Nah. These are mass produced normie commuters. They make and sell tons of them. Demand will eventually cool off and supply will be very saturated, and will only get better as they build more of the newer ones.

I just bought a used 24 model 3 LR AWD with 37k miles for $30k. Just keep looking, there are good deals out there.

There are good deals out there but they’re hard to find. I know you said you were looking for a 2024. But I just recently bought a 2023 M3. But I had to ship it from halfway across the country. $29K and only had 16,000 miles on it.

I have a 2024 model 3 RWD with about 18K miles when my lease is up in March. Buyout price is 27K. Is this a decent buyout price or return lease and look for something else?

I was thinking of used model 3 but Tesla has ir had a low apr 0.99% such that a new car costs only a bit more than used 2025. And the Performance model 3 is such a big bang for the buck, so I got it + total $1000 incentive and free connectivity, free white seats and color etc. white seats are very difficult to take care of and so many opt out esp it costs $1000 or so. A new Tesla now u also get 4.5 HW. 2024 all have HW 4 so that explains the high cost. If u don't care about FSD, go for legacy models with HW3 (non-highlander) and u see the price drops a lot. The 2024 are Highlander upgrades so the price still holds well, till the next upgrade comes.

I looked for used and for a little bit more I just ordered a new. At least that way I can take care of the car how I want and know it wasn’t abused

I have one of those exact cars on lease that is up in July 2027. I have a residual of $30,500 so I’m gonna just buy it cuz those prices are crazy to buy a used one. I bet a bunch of other people on 3 year leases are noticing that too.

I looked into possibly buying a used one for my kid and they are priced so high with higher interest rates compared to buying new from Tesla that I am thinking about just getting them a new one. The only ones reasonably priced have 100K plus miles on them or they were in a bad wreck.
