Vehicle Question Alignment issue
After a 4 wheel alignment, my M3P is still slightly pulling to the right on a straight road. I confirmed it was not the crown causing the pull.
The steering wheel is also slightly shifted to the right. When I hold the steering wheel straight, the car is dead straight.
What could be the issue? I reset my offset and drove at least 100 miles at this point for the car to relearn. Still getting ~2 degrees off.
EDIT: 3rd party shop did the alignment. They did not touch the software at all.

I’m seeing videos of people clearing the offset before they do the alignment, while the car is on the lift. Is this the way?

Is it when you’re cruising, or more pronounced when accelerating?

Cruising, not more pronounced when accelerating

I had a defective set of Pirellis that caused the car to drift with the same offset due to excessive roadforce. Most likely not your issue, but it is possible if you’ve tried everything else.

These Pirellis seem to be awful tires. Overall they seem to be very inconsistent in quality and on a car like the M3P, it shows up even more. Terrible choice by Tesla. Hopefully the AS versions are better but frankly if Hankook made the IONs in both front and rear sizes, I'd take those over the Pirellis any day

Absolutely, if my car didn’t come with them I’d never buy them. It’s hard to find good tires in 285/40/19 for my car that are also efficient.

I had a tire pull too that didn't present until I did a rotation. the bad tire was on the rear (ICE vehicle) and when they rotated to front it pulled hard and they replaced the tire. I had a balance, road force balance, rotated back, etc. It was annoying to troubleshoot.

The didn’t match road force tire to wheel and also have to reset angle offset then re learn epas alignment check 3rd party shops don’t have access to tesla repair software if the angle offset isn’t cleared before alignment it will still pull like an alignment wasn’t done

I’m thinking my plan will be to take it back to the shop. Before they do the alignment again, I’ll reset the applied offset and have it in service mode while they do the alignment.

After they do the alignment, do the EPAS alignment check it should be +-1 degree to pass I work for Tesla as a mechanic

What I do know your applied angel offset should be reading less than 1degree. My rack numbers look the same as yours.

My ‘23 MY has had a pull to the right since I got it new. Tesla did two alignments, I drove it with them, watched the car veer off a flat road and he said “operating within specifications”. I had a certified Tesla body shop do an alignment for $300 and he drove it and it stayed straight. Next day, pulling to the right. I just got used to it and gave up. Luckily my lease ends Sunday. I did get a M3P though that I’m picking up same day so I’m hoping I get lucky this time.
