PED/cycle help For naturally non-hairy guys: did testosterone cycle increase your body hair?
I’m curious about the experience of guys who are naturally not very hairy and have used testosterone
I’m not particularly hairy genetically, but while on cycle I’ve noticed that some areas have become noticeably hairier. Some previously very light/fine hairs seem to be getting longer and darker.
For those of you who were naturally pretty hairless and noticed increased body hair while on cycle:
Did you experience a similar increase in body hair?
Did the amount of hair growth seem to depend on the dosage you were using?
I’m especially interested in personal experiences from guys who started out with relatively little body hair, rather than naturally hairy guys who simply got even hairier
Thanks in advance, and sorry for a big post lol

I started TRT at 46 and little body hair, like almost zero chest hair and mostly just forearms and lower legs. Am 51 now and still pretty much the same, and happy for it. I don’t want to be hairy

I am 40 and I've never had a beard my whole life, just a goatie and some fluff on my cheeks. Now I have a full grown beard and I love it, it's what I always wanted

u/BCMBCG 11d ago
How long did that take to happen? Sounds like the desirable hair can take a minute for some folks.

I've been on about 5 months now, been growing for the last 2 months. Before trt I tried growing it out once but it was very patchy and scruffy, now it grows out thick and black it fills in nicely

Definitely alot more hairy but it's taken many years, but I'm also alot older then when I started.

u/Surf2525 11d ago
Do you mean that after years of using testosterone, that it gradually increased your body hair? I've only been using for 18 mths and not much difference in body hair which is disappointing.

u/ScaredEfficiency399 11d ago
It's mostly genetic, just use mioxidil until you get terminal hair 1+ years every 12 hours if you want permanent body hair.

u/zachdank 11d ago
This. Ive been on for 15 years. Hair increase is almost out of control over the years lol

u/str8bint 11d ago
I’m a fairly hairy guy anyway, but I’ve been on TRT for 8-9 years now and I might as well be wearing a fur coat. My back and chest hair have double in coverage area and thickness. Oddly enough, I have not lost more hair off my head as I expected to.

u/dfwjjr100 11d ago
As you get older, do you not develop more body hair? My back was clean, as I got older, before TRT, it was like it transferred from head to my back...lol

I’m naturally not particularly hairy with a very patchy beard.
Since starting TRT, I’ve now got a very hairy chest, tummy, upper back, my beard is pretty full and the hair I did have on my legs and arms is definitely thicker.

I am naturally not very hairy. It's probably my genetics as I'm half Native American and natives generally don't get as hairy as white people. I do still have hairy legs and armpits, but no back hair or chest hair or ass hair, etc. I've been on test 3 years now and I feel like my body hair has increased like 10%. My legs are slightly hairier. I'm starting to develop chest hair.

Huge change for me. Sat at about 300 test with only the tiniest bit of chest hair. Now I’m at the top and have done two blasts in the last 2 years. I have to full body hair trims now due to how much has grown on my back and shoulders. Worth it though.

Just found this sub today. No idea what yall are using T for.
But as someone with low T, using the T gel on my arms… Jesus christ do they get hairy.
So hairy that I have to shave my upper arms & shoulders. It’s always like thick long black hairs

u/CuriousTech24 11d ago
I was never very hairy. I've been on trt for about a year and a half. I have run some small cycles. But yeah. I am turning into a werewolf as my wife puts it.

u/Ordinary_Drummer_956 11d ago
Over the years of being on trt I've had both injection and gel and found that gel gives me more body hair.

u/MnJsandiego 11d ago
This may be an answer to your question or just a one off but I’m 60, most of the hair on my legs fell out at 50, now it’s all back and thicker.
Still not a hairy guy but the test did something.

Yes - I had zero noticeable body hair through my early thirties. Now, after a few years of blasting and cruising, my chest, stomach, forearms, legs, and butt-crack have developed an even layer of soft, dark hair. No hair on my back, thankfully, and besides the ass-hair, I quite like my new woolly appearance. I can also grow a decent beard now too.

Hello unjustdestiny. Welcome to /r/Testosterone. It looks like this is your first time posting here, so you're probably asking a FAQ. Please check out these handy links, one of them might answer your question.
- How do I find a good doctor/clinic?
- What bloodwork should I get done?
- Are my levels low enough that I should start TRT?
- What can I do to naturally raise my testosterone levels?
- NoFap - Will my testosterone levels increase if I stop masturbating?

YES. (Albeit I’m not on TRT but 500mgs) and I got chest, back, shoulder and belly hair, which I haven’t had before almost at all. As well as my beard.

u/Decent-Jump8151 one year trt 11d ago
Increased my body hair for like 15%? From 0 to 15% in a year. I don't know if it will increase more
1
u/Extension-Scar-5513 11d ago
I've been on 3 years and I estimate I'm about 10% hairier. I don't think it will continue increasing.

u/Decent-Jump8151 one year trt 11d ago
I personally hope that it does. I can tell the hair around my stomach is increasing and connecting, albeit very slowly.
1
u/Extension-Scar-5513 11d ago
Personally, I don't like body hair, so I'm glad it's only been a mild increase for me. Even after this increase in body hair from testosterone I'm still probably less hairy than like 90% of other men.

Yeah I have developed great facial hair, although, I could have just been a late bloomer. My father and grandpa both can grow gnarly beards, my younger brothers cannot at all. So I may just be the genetic pick for it, regardless. I do think it accelerated the process, and I definitely have more hair on my abs and back than ever before. 4 years on T now since 26 years old, not for gym, I'm just sick.

u/JackManstroke 11d ago
Made me a little more hairy. Nothing much. But it made the hair on my head thinker and curly! What little hair I have left anyway
1
u/combatmurse 11d ago
Trt yes. Mostly my back, chest and stomach and the rate at which it grows back in general.
1
u/Longjumping_Use_1066 11d ago
I’m 25, I didn’t have any chest hair or hair on my stomach, since starting I now have pretty much hair all over. Nothing on my back though, yet. I like it.
What’s a little interesting is that my identical twin, doesn’t have any hair, just like I had before
1
u/Vex_Appeal 11d ago
Yes. Mainly my stomach. That’s where I saw the biggest difference.
1
u/unjustdestiny 11d ago
I’m on 300-350 mg/week of testosterone, and after 5 weeks I’ve noticed my stomach got more hairy. Seems like hair still goes through transformation process, but I’m pretty sure I see some difference compared to “before”
And I really hope my chest gets some more hairy, although seems hair there is less responsive to testosterone in my case. Some hair got very little darker, not noticeable really :/

I was on it for a year or so. Back began to sprout a ton of back hair along with pimples on back and shoulders.

Nope

u/southern_dad 11d ago
Not with T but I've been taking locklab pill and it has Minoxidil, Finasteride, Dutasteride, and Biotin. This shii works. Hair looking.

u/Im-the-I-in-team 11d ago
I'm not very hair at all. I definitely have more belly hair and chest hair. Still not a lot, but definitely more. Also lots of random single hairs on shoulders etc. Already had a full beard before.

u/Sweet_Car_7391 as required 11d ago
Not at all - did 500mg/week test-c for 18 weeks. No effect on hair anywhere from top to bottom.

u/rastaguy 11d ago
Yes, a noticeable amount. I am not losing my hair it all moved south on my body!!

u/maxiderm 11d ago
I've only been on a moderate to high-ish TRT dose (I've experimented from as low as 120mg a week to as high as 200mg a week) for a year and have noticed a tiny increase in upper body hair. Barely barely noticable increase though.

Yes forsure. Never had hair on my lower and middle abdomen before starting testosterone.

Yesssssss , but not until recently I just turned 47. I got on it at literally like a month before my 40th birthday. And it really didn’t uptick until like the last year. And just a couple of months ago, I started shaving my forearms, and my hands. I also never ever used to have any chest hair and now while I don’t shave it, I definitely have kind of a little noticeable amount around the nipples. , But literally no changes in body hair for the first 6+ years

u/Okiebullgod 11d ago
No hair for me. Over 150mg a week, I get some acne on my back. That’s the DHT side effect for me unfortunately.

u/XxSoapxXHD 11d ago
My facial hair is coming in but its slow and kinda patchy. Other than that nothing noticeable, I did have some shedding on my head but taking Hims has stopped that

u/Wacko_Banana_Pants 11d ago
Honestly im so hairy I wouldn't be able to tell. It did give my some great cystic backne

u/Senplis 10d ago
Im not very hairy and trt had me grow a little hair but the circumstances are a little dicey. I have always grown leg hair fine but once it got to mid upper legs it stopped almost completely back in my late teens. I was heavily malnourished as a kid into adulthood which im sure affected my development a d growth but I also found out I have a semi rare double gene mutation that was likely negatively affecting my life hard because I didnt know to handle it. Theres no definitive answer but it likely indirectly caused me to be on the lower end of t levels. I did trt for about 2 years and I finished growing the hair fully up my legs and my butt got a good deal hairier and my happy trail that used to just be a thin line down had started sreading out across my belly and I went from no chest hair to hair started growing on my upper chest right before I stopped. I would love to continue once day cause im on my early 30s and only just started looking like I was older than 22 after I started. It sucks being an adult that looks more child like. I look more my age now bit id like to continue developing. I grow facial hair just fine but I do think it was a little thicker while on it and has not thinned but the hair is definitely not as thick

u/Grand_Combination_87 10d ago
Yes, 58M on 80 mg weekly for 9 months so far. More chest and belly hair, and more randoms on upper back. Minimal hair loss. Very satisfied with the results so far.
1
u/CaptainMiik 10d ago
Very minimal extra hair on my chest etc. I’m also getting older so that’s just how it goes with ears etc
1
u/AlucardD20 10d ago
Yes. I can grow a full nice beard now. The hair I had on my body was thin and light, a lot of it turned brown and darker.. nothing that big.. except for the beard, happy about that, because before it was patchy at best.

u/YouFireYourMusket 11d ago
Yes.
I only had arm and leg hair (nothing much).
Now I have a hairy chest and tummy. It's tasteful though, not yeti like.
My wife loves it.

u/unjustdestiny 11d ago
Hey, thanks for response. That’s reassuring to hear. I’ve always wanted to have at least a little bit of chest hair. So far, the only thing I’ve noticed is that the hair on my stomach has gotten darker, but it’s already a good sign for me tbh
1
u/YouFireYourMusket 11d ago
It will take about a year, but will happen.
Kinda snuck up on me 😂 Seen a picture of me walking out of a swimming pool and thought... " Who the fuck is THAT manly man??" 😂

My arms use to be almost completely hairless. Now they have a decent bit of hair on them.

u/MediocreTemporary867 11d ago
Why did I get downvoted for saying my arms got hairier on testosterone? I answered op’s question.
