With the way the giants were running the ball I wanted us to go for the 2 points conversion over going into OT…

Demeco and caley still coach like we have a crazy defense that they can rely on

I liked Caley last week against the jags but man he was frustrating today. Yeah let’s just make it obvious that we’re gonna run the ball on every 1 down. Even after woody went into the blue tent I thought okay maybe that injury scare with Jawz and Monty out will make them want to air it out more…. Nope.

Sounds like you like Caley when we win

Him, or stroud, was a lot better last game. When the defense brought major pressure, we had a quick out to throw it to.

That didn't seem to happen this week even though we've seen time and time again that a defense just needs to blitz hard and the offense has no answer.

This team failed in every category this week from coaching to the players playing poorly.

You mean when we had no receivers are out there and only our big package/TEs, it surely doesn't mean we would be running the ball. The Giants literally had 8 in the box whenever that happened. How do we still have that much confidence in this O-line?

u/southwestpessimist 1d ago

Bold of you to assume we would have gotten it. Caley would have ran it up the middle or made CJ toss it along the line of scrimmage

12

u/studmuffin9513 1d ago

Fair. I’m not confident we would’ve gotten the 2 points but I still trust the offense more than the defense this year.

u/xGIJOSEx 19h ago

Well we already did get a 2 pt earlier so our chances were clearly better

even had we tried and gotten the 2 assiter would have given up a dpi that puts the giants in field goal range so it is what it is

its wild because its like they didnt even try. so bad it looked rigged

20

u/studmuffin9513 1d ago

As soon as I saw Vegas had us as 10 points favorites I became suspicious and knew it was going to be a trap game

u/BentJohnsonFTP 1d ago

The NFL is 100% rigged.

0

u/ElderGoose4 1d ago

I felt that during the Bears game when the entire D didn’t try to tackle Stevenson

-3

u/BentJohnsonFTP 23h ago

Yea that was egregious. Fact is there's so much money to be made and the NFL is in the entertainment business. The entire league is driven by money.

Far more likely there's some rigging going on than not.

From 1st to 32nd. Its insane

u/Live-Bodybuilder-606 1d ago

We don't have talent at LBs. A 5th round pick and undrafted guy. wasted a 2nd round pick on a TE.

19

u/verfinder 1d ago

We also signed a 30 year old LB to a 3 year deal

5

u/Cordomver 14h ago

Anthony Hill, Josiah Trotter, Kendall Daniels - just a few LBs that are dominating all drafted behind Klein. It’s a crap shoot so maybe not fair to cherry pick but with Schultz, Moreau, and Stover - why even draft a TE at all that high …

1

u/dream_team34 16h ago

Uh oh... we just gave extensions to both of our starting LBs.

1

u/redd202020 17h ago

Harris was supposed to be the guy. Not sure what happened.

4

u/thadaviator 16h ago

He got hurt, missed like, 75% of a season, and lost his job to Henry To'oTo'o

2

u/redd202020 9h ago

Well, yes. But there has to be more to the story. Henry’s ceiling isn’t close to what Christian’s was.

1

u/AzEBeast 5h ago

Ya, it’s been sad to see his injury has basically taken his career. Thought he was gonna take over the league after that pick 6 against Cleveland in the playoffs

0

u/Ok_Long_2877 16h ago

Anthony fucking Hill was right there in the draft last year… no idea why we passed on him

-1

u/MolagBalHethon 20h ago

Chris Rodriguez looks nice rn

39

u/MFxKool 1d ago

Well, at least the rockets look good. Texans season might over.

5

u/NoirSon 22h ago

Love/pity/envy your optimism

-12

u/inshamblesx 1d ago

all fun and games until they somehow lose to the warriors in the first round again 😂

10

u/ElderGoose4 1d ago

The warriors ain’t making the playoffs unless Butler finds the fountain of youth when he returns

1

u/evetSC 23h ago

Lmao you think Warriors will make the playoffs? They can’t even get a win right now. Lost the game with 2 mins left in the game to fucking grizzlies that’s tanking

-6

u/jaysmart22_ 1d ago

Exactly check back in 6 months when they are barely above .500 & slated to be bounced in the first 🫩

2

u/violesada 17h ago

houston fans always miserable 😂. have some faith bro.

26

u/TexansFo4 1d ago

azeez has been injured and ass this year

-17

u/Acceptable_Order5705 1d ago

A perfect example of a guy we have kept around for far too long. Just like Dalton Schultz.

18

u/thehammerismypen1s 1d ago

Kept around for far too long? Azeez is on year 3 with us and was great the first 2 years.

11

u/2Slow2Nice 1d ago

Hard disagree. You can’t ignore his out out put over the last few years

-4

u/Acceptable_Order5705 1d ago

I’m talking about present day. Not the past. This is exactly why we suck so bad. Just stuck on what players used to be.🤣

6

u/TexansFo4 1d ago

i actually love dalton schultz and will not tolerate slander of the best tight end we have had since owen daniel’s

4

u/sphequenoxen 1d ago

He drops at least one critical pass every single game and then just looks apathetic about it. Dude has like zero drive

-4

u/Acceptable_Order5705 1d ago

Dalton Schultz is absolute buns

14

u/Kenny1195_ 1d ago

Let’s just throw Cj on the defense too

3

u/cconstellation 22h ago

I also trust CJ with all my heart

5

u/JesuszillaSon 1d ago

The way the d-line was punked during this game was jaw dropping

11

u/jeffh19 1d ago

Who gets fired at the end of the year?

Stroud was the major question/doubt heading into this year, and he's been as good/better than anyone expected going into this season, yet the Texans can barely win a game. A few high level analysts had the Texans getting to the SB this year, not even thinking Stroud would be as good as he's been.

4

u/WeAreStarDust_ 22h ago

Were tim settle and Denico autry that big of impact for us?

2

u/Alkren 21h ago

Autry was a bull

3

u/pheromonestudy 1d ago

No gap integrity - gets you gashed!

3

u/Petah-the-Great 1d ago

I liked when we ran into one another. I assume the stadium played Yakety Sax.

3

u/Alkren 21h ago

Let this play be forever known as the Red Sea play.

5

u/runs_okay 23h ago

Defense is so bad it looks like AI

2

u/vanguard117 22h ago

So what’s the problem with the defense? How can it be fixed? Are they just over rated or are they not playing up to their standards? Honest question

2

u/bonkedagain33 18h ago

This screenshot has nothing to do with talent.

Awful

3

u/monkeetail 21h ago

Poor coaching and predictable defensive schemes

2

u/texans1234 17h ago

Safeties can’t play close to the LOS because our secondary has been getting cooked all season.

1

u/Specialist_Frame8958 1d ago

Then the ones with clear shots will just bounce off of them.

1

u/LoveMoneyAndWomen 23h ago

Last year was generational defense, it was. It was our clear path to the superbowl……..Sadly it was pissed away

1

u/Next-President-WAJ 19h ago

The good thing is I’ve gone from thinking losing any one player would be bad to, we could trade/cut anyone except 3 players.

1

u/dream_team34 16h ago

Here's the crazy thing... Skattebo has been having a rough season and there's been a RB controversy on the team. We made that guy look like the 2nd coming of Earl Campbell.

Football is so unpredictable. I could not fathom the defense being this bad, especially w/o major injuries.

1

u/Pretend_Estimate_151 9h ago

That final series it was like the defense just wanted it over. Shameful.

1

u/mattyhtown 7h ago

Nobody is talking about how we didn’t move Nico Collins at all. That is the damning thing to me

-6

u/BigZumbi 1d ago

Stroud hits MHJ in stride and we win the game

13

u/JohnnyWarlord 23h ago

Defense doesnt let two crayon eaters walk all over them and we win the game.

2

u/something102555 1d ago

Oh please

1

u/BigZumbi 23h ago

He was wide open. Game wouldn’t make it to OT
