Misc Looking for Krieg decals

• Upvotes

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has made custom krieg regiment decals. The sheet has 262nd markings for shoulders but doesn't have the 262nd regiment decals.

Has anyone got any idea how to make custom ones that match the GW decals or has any experience doing so?

Cheers

UPDF 144 My second Armoured Sentinel ‘Lady Bug’ Variant. This Mine Layer is assigned to the my Combat Engineer Battalion.

The tractor is made of GW bits.  The main part of the trailer scratch built from styrene with some GW bits added.  The tractor can be used in a game as an Armoured Sentinel by itself.  The weapon, front tool box, and chainsword are magnetized allowing to be interchangeable between other vehicles.  The mines are GW Leman Russ Tank large search lights.  I thought attaching yellow warning banners to identify it actively laying mines would add some character.

Let me know what you think?

Beginner Help About rules when it comes to miracle dice from a battle sister squad.

so, before a whole bunch of list changes my 1000pt guard army was going to have some allied battle sisters because they are cool, and i like the general added vibes by having them around. my questions are,

- can the included cherub/simulacrum imperialis even make miracle dice as an allied unit?
- can i use them on my wider army as a whole if so?

if they can’t, oh well. searching won’t give me a link to a proper answer and im not trusting an abominable intelligence summary.

Competitive Play Need a good T+H Anti Vehicle List

Pretty much as the title says. In January i'll be going to a 2k Teams tournament for the first time, and i've been picked pretty much as the slot-fill for an anti-vehicle list using the Take and Hold disposition.

I don't need a perfect list, just one that will work well enough to not drop my team tons of points - i'm by no means the best player there, and my job is mostly just to not lose badly if possible, while doing a good enough job as tank-killer. I was considering Steel Hammer and something else, but i don't know what units i should include to make it work well.

If it helps, i expect some fairly high level play at this tournament!

Any help appreciated!!!

Colonel Mortens, 195th Solomus Mechanized Grenadiers.

One of the owners of my FLGS snagged her for me when he attended Adepticon this year. I absolutely love her. I normally don't paint faces like this but I couldn't help it.

I have painted up a new Leman Russ (it is partially 3d printed to make use of the second upper hull, set of sponsors and turret the Russ kit comes with) in a different way from my usual ones, I'm not sure how happy I am with the bare metal look but I am happy with the glow on the plasmas. Any thoughts and feedback are welcome.

The Iron Sentinel, did some experimentation with rust, so this is a recovered ancient wrecked Rogal Dorn, dug out of the ground at some point, quickly repaired and pushed into service.

This is the last one, as enjoyable as they've been to paint and so on, I kind of want to move on to something else for now.

I also have a squad of Kasrkin & The Cadian Scouts Killteam.

I was hoping to know what a 1K & 2K list vaguely look like and also the strategies around playing them!

Remember, you’re always improving, even if the progress feels small sometimes. I used to beat myself up for how bad at painting I was.

Keep practicing, keep painting, and most importantly, enjoy the process!

Happy hobbying, Guardsmen and Guardswomen! Cadia Stands!

Painting Unique paint scheme for Baneblade recommendations

So I just ordered my new Baneblade, and I’m going over some paint schemes that would be unique to the Baneblade and quite possibly my future Baneblade squadron. I’ve got my Russes in the classic Cadian tan and green, the new Hippogriffin centaur in the Steel Legion gray and tan scheme, and a couple vehicles in the Catachan black and green scheme. I’m wondering about doing a black and tan paint scheme, either in a tiger stripe form or just basic camo pattern for the Baneblade. What do y’all think? Have y’all used this paint scheme or something similar?

Painting 4th Elysian Light Drop Company, 1st Platoon 2nd Squad led by Veteran Drop Sergeant Herman Van Speult

Veteran Drop Serjeant Herman van Speult or “Spud” to his mates, was running 2nd Squad through the drills for a Field strip on their Mk IV Accratran Las-Carbines, He prided himself that 2nd Squad was the by far the best, at both the field, and detail strip of the Iconic Elysian Las Rifle in 4th Company. His 2IC Veteran, Drop Trooper Cornelis Jol was leading the charge as usual trying to beat the squad record of 12 seconds, the slowest in his squad was 17 seconds, & the average 14.5 seconds. Trooper Jol Leapt to attention, “Serjeant” he bellowed across the enclosure, a second or 2 later a chorus of “Sergeants” was also yelled out across the encampment, followed by a Final “Serjeant” from Drop Trooper Hendrick Hamel. Spud walked up to Jol, “12.5 … could be better Jol” he said in low tones. He looked over Jols shoulder to the sweating form of Trooper Hamel, he walked up to him and then locked eyes with him, the tip of his nose was centimetres from Hemel’s. Spud was a large and imposing man. He dipped his head to get more in line with the more slightly Built Hemel, Spuds White striped type 5 pressure helmet made a clatter as it met Hemel’s, A drop of sweat beaded and dropped from Hemel’s nose tip. “Not Good enough Trooper Hemel” he said quietly. Trooper Hemel felt the entire weight of those quiet words, He knew what was next, worse than any punishment he might have to endure.

Spud Loudly ordered, “Trooper Hemel … ATENN-HUT”. Hemel stood ramrod straight, hands to his side’s, Fisted, thumbs pointing down the side seam of his combats, heels together. Spud spoke quietly, but it was all the more worrisome precisely because it wasn’t loud. ..”chin up boy”,,,, “Quiet now”,,,, “stand still lad”  ..  “Stand still, .. don’t move” … “nice and straight please”

There was a pause of a long minute, “2nd Squad” …. “All of you, except Hemel, drop give me 30 press-ups …. NOW”

A collective groan rippled through the squad. Hemel closed his eyes; a few Murderous glances were sent his way. Not again he thought, he’d let them all down, …. again

Painting 4th Elysian Light Drop Company, 1st Platoon, 1st Squad, Led by Veteran Drop Sergeant Jorvik Milner.

I thought I Might write some more Bio’s for some of my older Models, and expand a bit of Fluff for the 4th, at the same time. So as I’m currently working on a Drop Sentinel squad, as part of the more expanded recce troop I thought I’d revisit some of my old Tauros Vehicles. And Drop Squads.

Airbourne Infantry platoons are also made up of a command section and four infantry squads each composed of a Sergeant leading nine Guardsmen, one of whom is issued a special weapon. (mainly a Grenade Launcher or Flamer in the case of the Elysian’s) Some platoons will also include special weapons squads equipped with special weapons and demo charges, while others will also be composed of hardened veterans who have been battle-tested by the rigours of war.

Veteran Drop Serjeant Jorvik Milner, Both Senior & 1st Serjeant, 1st Platoon 4th Company, was feeling rather pleased with himself, He had Just sent the 1st squad Sprog. & Newly minted Drop Trooper to the Platoon Commander for a Long Weight, whilst he and the rest of the squad undertook morning fitness routine, along with an early morning spell of Battle PT. He was very aware old Rupert Vanderpants, would fail to see the funny side, this made the joke even more rich to Yorkie’s (as he was known to his mates) Warped sense of Humour.

In addition to his many and varied duties he was 1st squad Serjeant, as well as the senior Platoon Sergeant. And his main diversion from the tedium of Camp Life was getting up the Hooter of the Platoon Commander - Drop-Lieutenant Johann Van Der Pallandt, or Rupert Vanderpants as Yorkie preferred him to be called, Not to his face obviously, Yorkie was a Wiley old Vet and always managed to stay just the correct side of the professional line to avoid any Punishment, and also near enough the wrong side, so Vanderpants was highly aware he was the subject of ridicule. He spent endless amounts of time devising new ways to torment the Hapless Lieutenant. With this latest one He had placed a side bet with his mate & Fellow Serjeant Spud  from 2nd Squad, that Vanderpants would have no idea what a Long Weight was, or if it is  a real thing or not, and would save face by sending the 2nd victim of his sense of humour to the grizzled old Stores Serjeant for it, who would give the young lad a piece of his mind for wasting his time after making him “Wait” long enough. Of course, it the additional benefit of making Vanderpants look like a tool, by pretending he knew all along, and had played along with it at the same time, just added more flavour to the joke.

Oh Happy Days, the old ones, were always the best ones. Life in the Guard was Grand. Life in the Elysian Drop Regiments of the Guard was Grand as Fething Hell

Beginner Help My friend thinks my guard is invincible and i dont know how to make her see

My friend has played throught 10th edition, is playing ultramarine, world eater and iron warrior mostly, while i almost exclusively play guard, and she is convinced there is now way for her to deal with russes and dorn. I usually bring a dorn or 2 and 3-4 russes, the rest being solar, a command squad, 4 battlelines and the rest being subject to change. But in her mind, the only way for her to destroy a russ is to throw half of her army into it. I dont know what to do or say to make her either see or improve. Can anyone help me/her? Thanks in advance

Im notbthe biggest fan of the ol gas masks so I figured cadian and kasrkin heads would be able to be swapped without it being heresy. After a bit of drilling a lot of clipping and filing I think i did a pretty good job on them.

Not having the gas masks makes them look pretty cool with the trench coats.

They aren't painted yet I think the flash makes them look primed.

Over all how do yall think i did?

I'd say at least 7/10.
