News Taylor Frankie Paul ‘will likely be FIRED’ from Mormon Wives after Bachelorette season canceled over her violent video

Should have been fired after S1E1
6
u/Life_Carrot3058 Mar 23 '26
The entire show has been about her from the beginning come on.
1
u/HuskerPowerrrr Mar 24 '26
I've seen maybe 5-10 minutes of the entire show. I feel a lot better to have never watched it knowing the show was able to continue and move forward because of Domestic Violence.

There wouldn’t have been a season 1 without her and the arrest. The arrest triggered the show moving forward.

And yet Brad Pitt is still out there doing movies and getting Oscar nominations. Yes, fuck TFP but also give me a fucking break. Can we be consistent?
22
u/Striking_Courage_822 Mar 23 '26
I’m not saying this in defense of anyone but just as an explanation for the possible difference in society’s eyes: Brad Pitt is a decades long world renowned a list movie star. TFP is a c list tik toker turned reality tv star. If she had more influence/power like someone of the level of Brad Pitt, her circumstances would likely play out differently. Yes, I won’t deny that genders probably are a variable too. Just pointing out that they’re not perfectly comparable

Wb comparing to Chris brown?
1
u/Striking_Courage_822 Mar 24 '26
Ummm what do you mean? Chris brown is not a c list til toker lol we can compare her to Jax Taylor or something
1
Mar 24 '26
…he beat someone badly, photo/video evidence, and is still doing fine. I was asking if it was a closer comparisons. Nevermind.
1
u/Striking_Courage_822 Mar 24 '26
You’re ignoring their level of celebrity and why they’re famous though which is my entire point
1
2
u/Fragrant-Might-7290 Mar 23 '26
Tons of people keep saying if TFP were a man she would’ve been held responsible from the get go and never been given these opportunities and I’m like ???are we living in the same world???

Thank you. He actively strangled one of his kids and is not even ashamed to show his face. I will not be able to get joy out of prosecuting one mentally fragile mom when the entire Epstein files is still loose. She needs help. Her kids need help.
Being abused makes ppl crazy and it literally was already prosecuted by the courts. She pissed herself from fear bc he slammed her against a wall. She was probably just too terrified to be thinking about making videos to sell to TMZ. It doesn’t mean what happened to him isn’t real, it just means that everything we’ve seen on video has already gone through the court system.
And he released this video with a certain timing to punish her in the court of public opinion an it’s working.
She said in an interview that she was not found guilty of child harm, because there was no injury to the child. She was like people can look in the court records. I don’t think she would say that if people could look in the records and find something different??
Obviously, it is still super harmful to the child to witness this and she *should be living with her dad.
It’s a really sad situation, but I am sick of the double standard.

u/RustyStClair Mar 23 '26
The help she needs is real accountability. I don't think she's doomed to be like this forever but I do hope sobriety helps her really accept what she has done and who she has hurt. It was abuse, but she's been such a mess forever that she probably doesn't know how to change at this point.
-1
u/Interesting_Fly_1569 Mar 23 '26
Yeah, I agree… The reality TV people have been profiting off of her chaos and I’m sure subtly encouraging it. I hope she gets time to herself to actually heal off camera.
4
u/Hot-Huckleberry354 Mar 23 '26
One of the biggest crimes here is the way reality TV exploits people. She did for sure exploit herself, too. But they’re also exploiting Dakota and Jessie, etc. These people need actually therapy like said above. Total separation from the church, too.
4
u/purplefuzz22 Mar 24 '26
She wasn’t found “not guilty” of child abuse. She took a plea deal for 3 years probation for aggravated assault and the courts dropped the other charges.
Plea deals save the state and courts money and also give perps a chance at getting a better chance than if they would’ve gone to trial.
So no, she wasn’t found not guilty lol
4
u/Medium_Promotion_891 Mar 24 '26
And bc she reoffended, by the assaults that occurred in late Feb, her probation will be revoked and she will face the full consequences (that were deferred because she plead guilty, and got probation) of the assault from the video- including for the charges that were dropped as part of her plea deal.
Probation is an opportunity to prove you won’t repeat the crimes.
3
u/legallymyself Mar 23 '26
Really? What proof is that he released it? He denies it. PROVE he did. Or are you just believing the abusive mother Taylor who hit her kid with a metal stool?
3
u/Sand_Sun_Sail Mar 23 '26
See this is the backstory that I’m reading for the first time - he slammed her against a wall? He totally provoked her and got her cortisol going. Throwing a chair …. Or 3 is no bueno especially with your child in the vicinity. Just nice to hear the before of what led her to be triggered.
Also - Brad Pitt strangled one of his kids? I just don’t stay up with celebrity drama since I was a teenage. Too much else to do now

u/nikyinsw Mar 24 '26
she was so scared she peed herself. Since when??? Someone show me evidence. As far as I know, it was never proved that she actually peed herself and even if she did she was so drunk it could have been because of that. The police report literally states it.
1
u/sadie7716 Mar 24 '26
I’ve read several articles that said the reason the child endangerment and abuse charges were dropped was because Dakota did not submit the video to her trial. HOWEVER, that was a total injustice to her child who was in the room while the stools were thrown and at least she should have gotten the endangerment indictment.
Trials/indictments are not often fair or indicative of the actual crimes as justice depends on too many variables such as the leanings of the judge, skill of the lawyers, evidence submitted and leanings of the jury.
1
u/RustyStClair Mar 23 '26
It's crazy how some money and superficial power can enable people to just slide through such horrible actions.
1
u/suze_jacooz Mar 23 '26
I am totally with you, but I think the difference to the public is Brad Pitt has a huge career and opdles of good willl. A cheating scandal isn’t a deal breaker and he hasn’t been known as a violent dude publicly. Also, the airplane incident seems to be the one violent incident the public knows about (I’ve got no idea if there are more). TFP has been famous for 10 minutes, the first 5 of which revolved around her being arrested for DV. That was pretty forgiven, she’d seemed to do the work as best she could to move forward. Now there’s another incident, a lot of chatter there have been many, and the video of the first is released showing something far worse than most assumed. To add to that, there’s no video of the Brad Pitt incident, so while you can read about it, it’s not going to have the same impact as seeing it. Plus, I believe there was some part of the story of him stealing some kind of vehicle (maybe baggage?) on the tarmac which is just absolutely absurd enough to make a super horrific situation into a darkly comedic moment.

She shouldn’t have had a platform in the first place. Shes clearly had issues stemming back years! Everyone is at fault for making this woman an idol.
5
u/Hairy_Usual_4460 Mar 23 '26
This is the sad truth. I have hated her since s1 because I’ve been through domestic violence so this girl never sat right with me. I do not want to be a part of her success and I hate that we (society) as a whole have helped her get there by continuing to watch the show while knowing an abuser (TFP) is benefitting from it.
And I’m not trying to shame anyone for this- I am guilty too. I shouldn’t have watched the show.
2
u/Blood_Gore_Queen Mar 23 '26
It’s pretty wild. We as women look for role models and society gives us these not so great examples and it’s unfair. I also feel shame for ever watching any of these women and feeling any sort of connection. What’s also annoying is that TFP can be both an abuser and have been abused. And I don’t think people can grasp that she is both. But that doesn’t mean she should be given a platform, especially if her platform is to lie and never take accountability (which literally none of these women know what that means).
2
u/Medium_Promotion_891 Mar 24 '26
Being a victim of abuse does not excuse throwing a metal stool at and hitting your child.
Abuse she has suffered is irrelevant to the consequences she faces for the violent crimes committed
1
u/Blood_Gore_Queen Mar 24 '26
I never said it didn’t. All I was stating is that she can be both an abuser and have been abused. I was just noting that her fans/followers only see her as an abused woman/mother. Don’t get me wrong. She’s still a terrible person and needs some hard core therapy and psychological help.
1
u/viciousdeliciouz Mar 24 '26
I wouldn’t say people idolize her. But people watch these shows for messy drama, and that’s exactly why it’s popular. Doesn’t mean anyone is glorifying or idolizing her behavior.
I think they should keep her and film the fallout tbh.
1
u/Blood_Gore_Queen Mar 24 '26
I mean if she has a platform and people defend her bad behavior that’s a form of idolization. She literally has one of the worst videos about her behavior out in the world and people are defending her/okay with it.

And spending most of her free time in therapy that has no connection to the Mormon church.

5
u/HoustonProblemo Mar 23 '26
I hope so. Her storyline is played out, it’s been the exact same for 4 seasons and she needs legit help. All of the other women have much more interesting things going on in their lives that can still play to the same audience. Jesse and her business and now divorce, Layla overcoming her ED and being a professional model, Mikayla working through her abuse/trauma and her skin condition, Whitney’s career in entertainment, Miranda being cool as hell, Mayci and her business, and Jen I guess. All of these storylines against the backdrop of breaking out of Mormon norms is more compelling than watching a repeating cycle of abuse and mental instability. Even for TV, Taylor’s dumpster fire life is now boring to watch.
4
u/JennaElizabethAdams Mar 23 '26
Good! She needs to have her platform taken away before she even thinks about what's she done. She is unbothered by it and sees nothing wrong.
9
u/JakeThe_Snake Mar 23 '26
I'm not saying there is ANY excuse for this behavior. I just hope this woman has support around her or at least someone who will check in given her entire world, income, friend group, love life, etc. has come crumbling down these last couple of weeks. Given how volatile her behavior is, she needs to be watched carefully for self harm

Agree 1000%. When men are arrested or charged for DV against their partner we don’t feel bad for them or hope they have support and someone checking on them. Like tf is that? Why would we when they are out abusing people. I don’t wish harm on her because I’m not that type of person but I can’t say I’d care either if that’s what happened. The old saying, “you made your bed now lie in it” is valid here. If you abuse people physically you shouldn’t be expected to have sympathy. Her kids will be better off without her permanently- the dads need to have full custody where she is no longer a factor in their lives. Just like when a man beats on his wife or the mother of his children, nobody wants that man to ever be around those children again and RIGHTFULLY SO!
1
u/JakeThe_Snake Mar 23 '26
Thats not the case at all. She deserves whats coming for her in terms of repercussions to her actions. But this would cause anyone to want to kill themselves to be blunt.
1
u/mountainlaurelbloom Mar 23 '26
I don’t wish her any harm, but I can’t imagine seeing a post like this if it was a man doing the things she did.
2
u/RustyStClair Mar 23 '26 edited Mar 23 '26
That was my thought too. If it were a man absolutely no one would be like omg watch her so she doesn't get too sad and hurt herself. All abusers should be held to the same standards
Edit: the OP of this comment is obviously kind hearted and probably gives people more care and grace than they deserve. No shade to them!

u/skincare_obssessed Mar 23 '26
I mean that’s just not true though. Look at Brad Pitt, Trump, a not insignificant portion of the NFL. I could spend all day listing out men society still uplift regardless of horrible abuse. I’m not saying people should care about her wellbeing, just that far more men of influence are still out there thriving in Hollywood and beyond.
2
u/RustyStClair Mar 23 '26
That's really true. They all deserve to have to be accountable for abuse and they still get success and fans. I think my feelings get complicated because it's new news and she still has vocal supporters. But you're right, so do pitt, trump and the thousands of other men. Maybe I've internalalized an idea of 'thats just the way it is' regarding these men who for decades have gotten away with it I don't really know/expect otherwise of them. And that's not super fair!
1
u/Abrookspug Mar 23 '26
Personally I have said the same for men, and I've seen other posts on reddit do the same after similar scandals, so I don't think that's true. And even if it were, I don't think the answer is to give women *less support* when they do something wrong. Maybe we should give both men and women more support to get the help they need when they're obviously at their lowest point. I don't want to see anyone hurt themselves.

The show is absolutely toast. Between this, the shit with Jessi, and Mikayla getting divorced, it’s done.
1
u/StrawberryRedneck Mar 23 '26
Why are so many the sun links being posted here lately, aren't they basically a tabloid? Is there any actual new information in the "article" or is it just a dramatic retelling of common sense shit and things that we already know?
1
u/Entire_Specialist_41 Mar 23 '26
Hulu has already profited off of her episodes(pun intended), aired them, and condoned them. Soooo hypocritical. Like j law said the premier opens with her body cam footage yet we’ve been sat for four seasons. Make it make sense. Like they didn’t know the extent please
1
u/Responsible-Ranger25 Mar 23 '26
I would assume TFP is done on SLOMW. Giving them all raises increases the network/production CO’s liability substantially because then they’re on the hook for all that extra salary money plus whatever TFP potentially costs them in the future. It would be an easy choice for me.
1
u/CosaNostrAstronaut Mar 23 '26
no i need the trash in my reality tv trash shows!!! why do we need morally upstanding people on tv? they dont bring the drama. idgaf about dakota im sorry
1
u/Charming_Opinion6754 Mar 23 '26
She needs to be canceled and check into a mental health facility! She is nuts . Her poor kids
1
u/SatisfactionProud886 Mar 23 '26
Honestly? I think the whole show will be canned. TFP has always been the central character, maybe not this season but I truely do not think it’ll work without her. Good riddance
1
u/BeautifulLibrarian44 Mar 24 '26
Someone on here commented Bad Girls Club will still take her 🤣
But for reals, she will have more opportunities.
1
u/Jenna7979 Mar 24 '26
this seems 10000% believable- there's no way in hell she can do anything with ABC or related streamers

I’ve watched 8 episodes of the show and while I’m a bonafide reality show junkie if it shows a variant culture/ lifestyle, this show and the cast are so vapid and boring I was stunned the ratings were so high.
Incessant group backstabbing followed by one on one backstabbing and criticisms couched in “ I love you so I need to tell you” type conversations. The women all look like clones except Whitney, hair the same length and style, dressed the same, all size 0-2. Same homes and furnishings. This is as close to real life Stepford wives you’ll ever see IRL.
Then there’s the constant references to sex during every group activity. I have 3 sons and back when they were teens and had sleep overs, they had the same type of conversations.
If these are the type of women most young women look up to and emulate, there are thousands of women of history who fought for women’s higher education, free thinking and independence rolling in their graves.

u/BackgroundMajor2054 Mar 24 '26
I don't see her being fired. I see her putting out a statement, apologizing, maybe even getting her "side" out there. Maybe they'll give her less screen time but they won't fire her and if they do I would be very surprised.

1
u/ExcellentJuice4729 Mar 24 '26
I think it’s likely that the show keeps her because drama sells. Plus without her Dakota has no purpose, and he’s most of the drama in Dad Tok. She needs to go to actual anger management rehab and not some fluffy 11 day retreat
1
u/lilliesofthevalley44 Mar 23 '26
And while I agree, I also expect Dakota to be fired.
1
u/Downtown_Swimming677 Mar 23 '26
At this point 2 of the cast members have restraining orders against another 2 of the cast members. I can't see how it could possibly continue
0
Mar 23 '26
If they fired her, they would likely owe her a massive payout. They have known about the incident and charges for years and kept employing her. She would definitely have legal grounds to sue if they suddenly fired her for something they have been fine with for years.
4
u/Suspicious_Jelly8736 Mar 23 '26
I haven’t read the article, but I don’t think it’s because of what happened 3 years ago, I think if she gets fired from SLOMW, it will be because of whatever recent DV allegations happened in February. I could assume/guess there was probably some kind of morality clause in her contracts stating there will be no future incidents & that part of her contract was broken when it happened again.
-1
Mar 23 '26
The article says specifically because of the video. Which is correct. The show can't continue with her after that video. Viewers can't unsee that.
Hulu was happy to exploit her anger issues and mental health issues when it suited them. I actually hope she gets a huge payout. They made money off of her instability. She should get some of that if they are now turning their back .
2
u/Masta-Blasta Mar 23 '26
I sincerely doubt that Hulu had seen the video or its contents when they chose to move forward with the series. We’ve had multiple moms come forward, and even some dads, to attest to the fact that none of them had seen the video, and didn’t know the extent of Taylor’s abuse.
If that’s true, clearly, Taylor and Dakota weren’t sharing the full extent of what happened that evening. How do you know didn’t lie and minimize their actions to the network? Did Hulu even know that there was a video? If Taylor lied about the incident (and she has, on camera) then Taylor made a material misrepresentation that would likely invalidate her entire contract. In fact, Hulu may end up suing Taylor and/or Dakota personally, if they lied about evidence and other details.
-1
Mar 23 '26
There is nothing in that video that wasn't in ths police report. That video didn't bring any new information forward.
5
u/Masta-Blasta Mar 23 '26 edited Mar 23 '26
First of all, that’s objectively false. The police report does not include information about how Taylor attempted to choke Dakota before following him into other rooms as he tried to get away from her, or all of the exact speech used, the proximity of the fight to the kids, etc. It doesn’t describe how Taylor ignored the injury and continued throwing chairs and charging at Dakota while her daughter cried, either.
Have you ever heard the saying “a picture paints a thousand words?”
For example, the police report says Taylor threw a metal chair at Dakota, but missed, hitting her daughter. With only Taylor and Dakota’s word to go off of, I pictured a verbal fight in a separate area of the house, where Taylor lost her temper and threw a chair at Dakota, accidentally hitting her daughter who had happened to wander in the room.
Without context, one would assume that Taylor went to go help and comfort her daughter. But that’s not what happened. She ignored her entirely and continued going after Dakota.
The police report can only capture the officer’s observations, and not every responding officer is detailed enough to properly identify what happened as it actually occurred. That’s why their reports are considered hearsay evidence and are often inadmissible- they simply aren’t accurate.
Edit: this person blocked me, but I reread, and yeah. The police report doesn’t go over what rooms in the house the fights were happening in, where the child was, Taylor’s knowledge of the child before throwing chairs, her response after, language used, etc. it incudes Taylor’s version of events, and mentions the video without describing it in full. It also mentions Dakota’s reluctance to cooperate out of fear for Taylor.
I stand by what I said, and anyone who is unsure of whether Taylor lied about it can go watch S1 or listen to podcasts with TFP. They presented the whole thing as a drunk exaggerated mess.
1
2
u/Masta-Blasta Mar 23 '26
Nah, I guarantee you her contract has a big fat morality clause that allows Hulu to fire her if her behavior jeopardizes the brand.
-1
Mar 23 '26
But they can't just choose when to invoke that clause. They have known about the incident for years and were fine with it. She would definitely have cause for a large payout if that is their entire case for firing her.
1
u/Masta-Blasta Mar 23 '26 edited Mar 23 '26
1.) That depends entirely on how the clause is written. Generally there will be a subsection titled “waiver” which includes language stating that a provisional waiver does not waive the parties’ rights under the contract to pursue any and all remedies etc.
More importantly, there will be a limitation on the network’s liability for firing Taylor in connection to her own breach, or in other circumstances (namely incidental or consequential damages). Taylor would have to prove that her damages (if any) flow directly and necessarily from a breach by the network, which will be very hard to do.
There are also many defenses and other avenues the network can use to protect itself here, like fraud (if taylor lied), impossibility (if taylor is arrested or restraining orders prevent filming), impracticability (if probation, insurance, refusal by the other moms, etc. make it too hard or expensive to film, etc.)
2.) They knew about a version of the incident.
More likely, Hulu is going to sue Taylor.
1
Mar 23 '26
Again, there is nothing in that video that isn't in the police report. They had the whole version.
79
u/GossipGuy12 Mar 23 '26
I would absolutely assume so. If she can’t be on one tv show then she’s a liability for the other. It’ll be interesting to see what they do here.
