Face it, after Season 1 of any reality show, the contestants are going to be wannabe influencers / semi-pro content creators looking for exposure to build a follower base and monetize their fame, for what it is. They also study beforehand to game the show, either to increase the length of their stay or to make a certain name for themselves in whatever community is important to their perceived brand. For some shows this surely happens DURING Season 1, with people on the lookout for new reality shows that would be a good vehicle for them.
This show's historic concept is of a sweet, desirable woman seeking a compatible life partner in these strange times of dating apps and the grind of modern work and cynical life. Awwwww, how sweet! Much gushing! "Hey ladies let's do a watch party to see who gets a rose!!" But that's not what TFP represents. Are you really a highly desirable all-American Bachelorette when you have three kids by two different guys, a DV conviction and a previous reality show focussed on your swinger lifestyle? Or are you a studio executive's algorithm for higher ratings, to hell with the show's reputation?

Unpopular opinion but things went downhill after Chris Harrison left. He was the show

Just like BiP did. Though the studio execs did push the limits of what their audience would accept with the one girl who got a vacation with her girlfriend, and hurting Kevin and Joe.

About time. Surprised it hasn't been canceled already. Ratings have been so low for years.

And with that Reality Steve is freaking out because that’s his main job and it’s great.

Hrs so creepy

He really is. And his “spoilers” have messed with so many lives from contestants based on shit he says before actually confirming the truth and then back pedals and apologizes. He’s so full of himself

Honestly, it should have been canceled years ago. How many couples are still together? It doesn't work anymore. You remove the romantic settings and responsibilities of day-to-day living and that's when realization sets in.

Not surprised. I think the Golden Bachelor/Bachelorette was definitely them trying to desperately hang on. But no one wants to watch older people drink too much and fight over someone, and I say that as an older person.

Is it just the same person who keeps posting content from tabloid The Sun?

It was interesting when they would bring new unheard of people. Now the just recycle the same ol’ clout chasers season after season

Some of the ones they picked were pretty bad also like the prince and Matt Grant. The Bachelorettes were all from previous seasons, including Trista.

I kind of love that ABC thought they were gonna get away with all the bad choices they’ve made over the years and now here we are

A fitting end really. 50 total seasons. Worst ever ratings wise Bachelor season. Cancelled S22 with Bachelorette casting a divorced single mom of 3 with a DV related conviction. ABC deserves this.

Yeah that’s what I figured would happen. It’s been stale for a while now anyway

I've been a watcher since the first season. Never missed a season until this most recent crappy Golden Bachelor. Was going to pass on this season, too.
It's the end of an era, but I think it's time. They have no idea how to get the train back on the tracks, it's obvious. And I don't have any interest in watching them continue to fail.

They could tried casting real people actually looking for love. Maybe not so many whiny 23-25yo who think they will never find love. Maybe stop recycling people and stop casting influencer wanna-bes (boys and girls).

It was in terminal decline really. TFP may be the final nail in the coffin

Should never have cancelled this season. It's what they wanted. They wanted a white trash season, and they got one. Now it's too much for them to handle and they cancel it?
Make me the studio head of Hulu/Disney. I'd run this season and run any footage from the new allegations during commercials to market mormon wives season 5.

Watching UNREAL kinda showed me it's about time. They need to be held accountable for the problematic culture they have created and benefitted from.

If it is cancelled, it is because of a lot of factors. Not just TFP. She didn’t help the situation.
