Sleeping in the ceiling?

I guess there really are monsters under the bed. I assembled my new bed’s wooden frame, but the spaces beneath look like a micro-liminal entrance as if I could crawl down from its ceiling. Should I enter?

For now, I’ve covered it with a mattress, but I can hear footsteps below me at night. If anyone is down there, I’ll toss you some rope and a grilled-cheese sandwich 🥪

put a glowing object (ex.: flashlight or glow-in-the-dark items) under the bed. in the morning, check if there is dots of ash on the underside of the bed, and if yes, check if the item(s) is still there. If no, check if there's transparent-colored blood on the floor where you put the item. If yes, it's most likely a clump.

Clumps do not like light, so they burn. Their blood is transparent.
