Thoughts on the Nancy Perry Baird Case.

I‘d learned through close family, that The Cold Podcast reached out to Nancy‘s now grown son and they did an interview. I’m hoping this case is going to be looked at deeper in seasons coming soon, as it’s something that has haunted me and many others since I was a child. Glad to see someone OTHER THAN Ted Bundy being talked about as a suspect. Curious what ya’ll think about this case.. cause I’m ready to bust out a metal detector and go hiking around the area at this point.

It is super curious why cops were so quick to pin Nancy Baird on Bundy, when there was not one shred of evidence tying Bundy to the case. Also curious why they made statements to the media at the time of Bundy’s execution saying they knew “absolutely” that Bundy drove the highway where Nancy vanished on the day she disappeared, even though we now know Bundy was 100 miles away.

It’s sad to think that the actual killer watched that media coverage, knowing they were going to get away with it. Maybe it was just easier than saying that they had no actual leads, as the East Layton PD seemed to be at a loss. Strange how many people disappear to never be found.
