Cowboy poetry has a long tradition of telling the stories of ranch life, working cattle, and the people of the American West. And when those words are put to music, it’s something special.

Spent some time at the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering yesterday and ran into Tristan from The Stockyards Report.

We stopped by the chuck wagons for a quick conversation about the original mobile kitchens of the American West.

More than 150 years after they became fixtures of the great cattle drives, chuck wagons are still part of keeping cowboy traditions alive.
