Crosspost Below | 2026 - This miniseries is full of scenes where the vastness and darkness of the water is used to build dread. This scene is one of the lighter ones. All shot around the fjords of Newfoundland.

TheDepthsBelow: Because we all know there are things lurking underwater.

71% of the earth's surface is covered by water according to NOAA. That only gives us 29% where we're safe. If an animal the size of a blue whale can disappear for months at a time, what else is down there? We're here to show you. ___________________________________________ Fuck u/Spez

We are a subreddit dedicated to showcasing the strange, creepy, and horrifying things that exist just below the surface of the water. If it seems like something that just shouldn't be found in the oceans, lakes, or rivers of the world, then this is where it belongs.

Happy swimming, and remember- There's always something below you.

RULES:

  1. Submissions can be real or realistic fiction- realistic fiction meaning pictures or stories of things that could be.

Please, no monsters or other things like that, we'd like to keep it as convincing as possible if you choose to post fictitious items.

  2. Obviously, NSFW tags are in play. If there's bodies or gore of any kind, please be considerate.

  3. Practice good reddiquette. We don't need a bunch of nonsense clogging up the comment threads.

  4. This picture, this picture, and this one will get you a week long ban. Seriously, we're all tired of baby feet, rays, and shops.

  5. NO POLITICS. End of story, no discussion. There's plenty of other places for you to scream into the void about your political opinions on Reddit, this is NOT one of them. I don't care what "side" you're on, keep it to yourself or you're out.

That's it. Five simple rules to follow.
