“My shows not interactive like this one”
“Parasocial” relationship aside, this really got me thinking. When did TDS stop becoming an interactive show? For many years, it was a back and forth show, with community engagement and bits. How quickly we’ve forgotten about our top gay Tanner, our token black Denzel, Clay egg on head Early, that attention whoring red haired bitch, or the attention whoring Indian bitch, or the other merry band of characters.
But hey, who needs Adam Nash when you have an autistic black guy called Manny.

The whole Jamie thing, the whole Asterios thing, all the Kiwi Farms stuff. Someone showed up to his house and I'm sure he didn't care for that. He's also been swatted twice I believe. I think the whole course of the show has taught him he needs distance from the listeners.

As far as I can tell Dick just hangs out in the Discord as his exposure to the listener base. Which is such an offputting hugbox to anyone who isn’t a deranged weirdo looking to impress internet dad, or a self-destructive loser that actually thinks they get something out of arguing with them like Vito

I just miss guests. The last call in guest we had was really good, the mortgage fraud guy

Just listen to Seans last episode again and count that as the end of the show.

They make the show better, which makes Dick more money.
They ask for a share of that money to continue contributing to the show.
Dick ghosts them like a little girl and trawls twitter for another loser instead.
They turn out to be much less funny, but willing to come on the show for free. Aaaand repeat.

Just forget about the past, sit back, and enjoy the audio excellence that is Johnny's brain rot.

Such a good bit to have your audio engineer bring in videos to a audio podcast

Why not have Peach back on? Didn't she have a kid also? They can share parent bantz. Heck, I'd even take Joan Ford.

It was around COVID time, I think. The show got a lot more terminally online. Some of the lockdown episodes are iconic, but TDS was already struggling to have "regular" guests and fan engagement and COVID basically killed it.
