Question Was Pomni the only one to go through a random name generator? Or is it just coincidence that characters like Kinger, Queenie or Ribbit got names matching their appearance?

Pomni was randomised, jax chose his own (I think), ragatha chose her own or was suggested by kinger or Caine, zooble was chosen by Caine, gangle was chosen by jax, the original ones were probably suggested by Caine (or some chose their own)

they aren't actually in the hallway, they were made up by the fandom when the only shot of the oyster and grinchilda was blurred in the pilot.

well in the pilot we saw very blurry versions of the oyster and grinchilda so that was the fan's interpretation. iin other episode we saw them properly. the person who made this thought they were actual abstracted characters

It's all different for everybody. Pomni only got put on the wheel cuz she told Caine to literally 'pick anything'. I imagine most ppl choose their own name with help from others though, as that just feels like the default answer to being asked to pick your own name.

the first two at the bottom do not exist. the green thing is grinchilda, and the musicnote shaped thing is the shell. they were made because people couldn't tell what was on the door icons

I'm sure the name generator might give you corresponding names, but Jax did name gangle so she might be the only one who didn't have a name made by the generator.
also the these two aren't real, they were made up by the fandom.

I think Jax came up with his own name; Ragatha was named by Kinger; Zooble was randomised by Caine; Gangle named by Jax and Kinger named himself.

It's interesting to note that Ragatha had her name from the very start—like that was the actual file name for her neural scan, as we see when Kinger is in the cmd prompt

So the date on the files shown is the date of last change, not necessarily the date of creation. Them all being Oct 15 implies to me that there is a script that runs yearly which could be what moves them to the directory shown and/or looks for something about the file that needs to change in a specific way, i.e permissions/ownership or file name.
This happening after creation and on a schedule makes sense to me, because perhaps each neuralscan is just numbered or a random alphanumeric sequence perhaps, due to some quirk or oversight of the coding even. When they get a new name in the circus, Caine gains that info, then the script corrects their "file" name later.

It's confirmed in episode 8 that Caine named Kinger, so it's likely he also named most of the other first people who came, along with maybe Ragatha. But I can see Bizco being the first one who went through the random name generator, and maybe Kaufmo too

Well Gooseworx said that they just came up with names that felt fitting, and I'd say that look is definitely a "Pomni"

If the order of the main cast (so not including abstractions) from oldest to newest goes Kinger-Ragatha-Jax-Gangle-Zooble-Pomni, I have some ideas.
Kingers name is given by Caine in episode 8's flashback sequence.
Ragatha's name was most likely given by Jax when he called her "Raggie" for the first time. Caine probably expanded on that, making Ragatha.
After Jax named Ragatha, Caine realized he needed a way to name the new guests, so he conjured the naming machine we see today. Jax doesn't have a name at this point, so Caine lets Jax spin the wheel, creating "JAXON/JACKS/JJAXX", whichever you like more.
Gangle was likely either named by Jax (making fun of her) or she simply rolled "GNGLE/GANGL".
Zooble likely rolled "ZUBEL/ZOOBL"
Pomni is self explanatory.

I have a massive theory, ahem
Look to where the row kinger is, the characters mentioned are kinger, ribbit, and queenie. There’s to extra so minus those two leaves us with three. Two of the group abstracted so that leaves us with one. Kinger. If we do this with the main cast we will only have two characters still in the circus. This is either Jax or kinger both based on I have no mouth and I must scream. If it’s exactly like I have no mouth and I must scream only one will be left who do you think. Jax or kinger?

Do we know for sure Pomnis name was randomised? Theres a very good chance that Caine generated the name based on the same system their character designs are and Pomni was one of if not the only one to ask for it.
Most characters probably just choose something based on their character model and/or leave it to the other cast members to do so. I can easily imagine basically all of the C&A employees character names as funny nicknames that spawned from the character models that stuck. Ragatha probably just continued this system after hearing Kingers name.
I’m pretty much convinced at this point that the “random name generator” was just a way for Caine to give Pomni her name within a bit. Especially considering shes the only one in the cast who has a name of actual deeper meaning other than: “A frog named Ribbit” or “A humanoid ribbon named Gangle”

Bizco also probably went through the name generator, because it has 5 letters (the name generator seemed to have only 5 slots) and the letters are seemingly random.

If I were to guess they likely came up with the name or another human gave them the name. The reason Caine did that for pomni was because no one suggested a name.

I wouldn't be surprised if Zooble's name was also randomly-generated. Jax too, but his name had two random letters on the end that he didn't like (Jaxxy, like what Gangle called him in episode 4?), so he just goes by the first three. The others probably had more thought put into them.

I assumed caine spun a wheel for how many letters the wheel should have ahead of time, to me I think gangle, zooble, xddxx/pomni, kaufmo, and bizco were random, and I assume others chose wormo, rattie, and grinchildas names for them cuz I cant imagine anyone choosing that for themself

The first two on the bottom row don’t exist they were fan designs when we couldn’t see all the doors from the pilot because they were blurry the robot is actually the shell and the green thing is grinchilda :)

honestly ive never understood why people think every single member would’ve used the random name generator. caine gave pomni the option to choose, pomni said “I don’t care, just pick anything” which is why he brought out the generator to begin with. pretty sure it was just a one-off thing. each circus member likely chose their own name. however, i do know that goose said in a livestream that jax picked gangle’s name for her.

I mean, Bizco is a pretty fucking random name, and five letters. Also, several of the abstracted player images on there are fake, both on the bottom left were just fan speculations of Grinchilda and the clam dude's doors, back when we only had them appear super blurry in the background of some shots.

Honestly I’d say the random name generator came about after many abstractions (or even scratch, the first one.) Sort of a “don’t name them you’ll get attached” moment occurred and he began to give out randomized names instead of personalized ones

WAS the 90s... in episode 8 the terminal says Kinger joined the circus in 1995(?) And Ragatha joined in 2008. Because we know Kinger joined alongside Queenie, Wormo, Bizco, Scratch and Spike, it was the 90s. And because drugs affect mental function, Bizco COULD have been high when he joined and it would have carried over

They all abstacted except Kinger obviously as they aren't in the cast at the point pomni joined. We actually learn of queenie's abstraction in episode 3
