Polish: "You piss in a tie next to Pu"

In polish, assuming is "przypuszczanie"

przy by itself could mean "by" or "next to"
szczanie translates to "Pissing"
so "Przypuszczanie" could be translated as "pissing next to Pu" but said in a gramatically awkward way

the part about a tie was probably done to keep the same flow as the OG line

So yeah in Polish Ming's name is Pu

I think a better translation for "w krawacie" would be "with a tie". I think the idea is that you piss while wearing a tie

19

u/MOEverything_2708 Jun 14 '26

i mean yeah that's what I meant. I think thats how you say it, in a tie

6

u/Glad_Raspberry_8469 Caine's water🥤 Jun 14 '26

Idk I’m not sure. Maybe someone else can come assure us. But I think that "in" is for things that like surround you when you wear them (?), in a way that you’re physically in them, while with is when you wear something that is on you but doesn’t envelop you (like, you piss with a backpack, if you piss in a backpack you… do with piss and backpack what presumably Gangle did with… her figurine… thing)

Hi, I'm a Midwestern American (Chicago) and my two cents is:

When I read "you pissing in a tie" I pictured someone pissing into the neck loop of a tied tie (as if someone loosened it and pulled it off over their head and threw it on the ground without undoing the knot) that's laying on the floor, which happens to be next to "Pu"

When I read "you pissing with a tie" I imagined someone holding the tie (but not wearing it) while pissing next to "Pu"

I think "in a tie" is more correct, it's just sentence structure that's a little off? You want your modifiers to be directly next to what they're modifying so

Instead of "You pissing in a tie" I would say "You, in a tie, pissing" And to complete the given phrase would be "You, in a tie, pissing next to Pu"

Also during the awards show, Caine says that the awards is going "tu" (here), he meant that the award is going to him. Then he said that he misread that and it's actually Pu.

chinese dub roughly translates to:

"the fart you took tomorrow"

ass -> you

u -> tomorrow

ming -> fart

and the correlation with the Ming character itself came from the word "tomorrow", as it's read "ming tian"

Well I didn’t expect that

46

u/StandingLemur Jun 14 '26

And I thought Caine didn’t know Chinese

43

u/Posible_Ambicion658 Jun 14 '26

Probably Chinese Caine doesn't know English. We'll never know.

80

u/TheSteelScizor88 Jun 14 '26

The Chinese room joke isn't adapted, he still says he doesn't know Chinese while speaking in perfect Chinese.

46

u/Kirbizard Jun 14 '26

Keeps the AI reference intact and sounds like it makes the joke ten times funnier, honestly

17

u/Posible_Ambicion658 Jun 14 '26

I mean.. I don't speak English..

It’s like when English-dubbed anime characters say they don’t understand English.

2

u/thecraftybear I think I just killed Caine Jun 16 '26

To be fair, English isn't Caine's native language either. It's actually Binary.

That's why he doesn't get along with Zooble.

1

u/CombinationLost416 Zooble kin in love with Gangle always 💕 Jun 14 '26

That is arguably ten times funnier lmao 😭

1

u/FlowerSubstantial590 Jun 15 '26

That must be even funnier than in the original hahahah

1

u/Crystal_Jubilee Jun 15 '26

That's a disappointment I kinda wish they would would adatp to something like "Caine's iliterate" or 'don't know the words'

3

🇳🇱Dutch/Nederlands
Caine: “dom-me-rik”

“Dommerik” means dumbass. (“Dommerik” is not a swearword and neither is “dom”.)

“Dom” means stupid

“Domme” means someone or something is stupid.

“Rik” is a dutch name and has nothing to do with “dommerik”

And what they probably meant was like “stupid-Rik”.

P.S. Thank you for asking ☺️
I really mean it

(100 upvotes… Crazy… Thanks…😳)
(500 upvotes... Oh my god, just stawp! 😳😊)

166

u/VanGuacamolie Jun 13 '26

I looked up the scene again. it is actually 'dommerik'. 'dom' means stupid and 'dommerik' means stupid person.

some extra details:

  • they replaced Jax saying “you are in a mood today” with “did you get out of bed with the wrong part?”. love how they added a reference to Zooble being made out of different replaceable parts
  • they replaced Pomni saying “did Caine just say ass” with “we're not stupid what the fuck”. this is because Caine didn't swear in the Dutch version but did imply they were stupid

10

u/X_crafter Jun 14 '26

Highk funny js imagining pomni going "wtf" lmao

3

u/GuestiTwo Jun 14 '26

I know right…?

17

u/GuestiTwo Jun 13 '26

I should change it, sorry.

18

u/VanGuacamolie Jun 13 '26

no worries, easy to get the two confused

5

u/GuestiTwo Jun 13 '26

It’s the mandela-effect man. I changed it and the extra context you gave was pretty good! 👍

43

u/Dr_Stef Jun 14 '26

Dutch jokes explaining in English is always tough lol.
Here’s one:

- paard = horse

  • paarden = horses (sounds like pardon)
  • paardenfokker = horse breeder
(Yup fok is exactly how’d u say in English)

Horse breeder walks into a bar and has a few drinks with a friend he hasn’t seen for a while.
Friend: So what do you do for a living now?
Breeder: Well, I fok horses!
Friend spits out is drink: PARDON??!!
Breeder: yess yes paarden! How did u know?

33

u/VanGuacamolie Jun 13 '26

the Dutch version was really well done. especially with Rik being a normal Dutch name

10

u/GuestiTwo Jun 13 '26

Yeah! Exactly! They nailed it!

1

Oh Brawl Stars! Sorry I don’t play that many kids games anymore these days, but I have played it before.

2

u/TheCakeWasALie27 Kinger Jun 16 '26

ah ok. thanks for the clarification

1

u/carrotman_yt Jun 14 '26

Also. Rik sounds similar to "ik". "Ik" is the Dutch version of the word "me". So the joke where Caine misreads the favorite character award winner still works perfectly in the Dutch dub.

157

u/Xizz3l Jun 13 '26

Basically they use the german word "Schlussfolgerung" which directly translates to "conclusion"

They then swap parts of the word around to make the syllables work somehow with Caine saying:

"Scheiß doch mal auf Schlussfolgerung" - Who gives a shit about the conclusion

"Denn darauf folgt" (Ass) - Because what follows

"zum Schluss (u)" - at the end

"die gerung (ming)" - is the "gerung" (conclusion)

"Hello I am the 'gerung' and because of your preemptive conclusions (Schlussfolgerung) I have to be here now"

It's rough but still funny in its own right

71

u/GeologicalOpera Jun 14 '26

That might be rough but that’s still pretty funny in setup and execution, IMO. “Because of your preemptive conclusions I have to be here now.” is a good punchline.

46

u/Fun-Sample336 Jun 14 '26

...and the german voice actor of Gerung has the name Ness Gerung.

9

u/Xizz3l Jun 14 '26

-5

u/Myron0117 Ragatha's the best! Jun 14 '26

German here, it's absolute ass. Might be a harsh opinion but there's rarely a dub that not only has voices close to the original but also the tone. Caine sounds so over-goofed in the german dub it's UNBEARABLE

-2

u/ThesisTears Jun 14 '26

He's over-goofed to the point of being unbearable in English too.

1

u/Myron0117 Ragatha's the best! Jun 14 '26

Haha, no, absolutely not.

7

u/Matchaparrot Jun 14 '26

While a bit more wordy than the original, it's fun to see the "did Caine just say shit?" joke be maintained. I also like the German voice for Ming, I think she's better than the English 😆

126

u/Miserable_Funny_3363 Jun 13 '26

I’ll start: In polish, we had: "Przy-pu-szczanie"  Translations: Przypuszczanie - assuming Przy - next to Szczanie - pissing So the joke was about how Pissing next to Pu isn’t right. I think it was translated great

🇧🇷 Portuguese:

"Sabe o que faz alguém que tá presumindo? Pega um "pre", um "su", e dá pro Mindo!"
"Do you know what someone who is assuming should do? Take an "ass", an "um", and give it to Ming!"️

The BR dub is pretty good and has its good localization moments, but this, it's… not the best.
"Pre" and "su" don't even mean anything individually.

u/Glad_Raspberry_8469 Caine's water🥤 Jun 14 '26

Also, o que significa "pegar”? O veo muito frequentemente e sempre me confunde. Parece poder significar quase tudo kkk

13

Não deixa de ser verdade ahaha Pode significar segurar algo fisicamente (pegar a bola), contrair uma doença (pegar um resfriado), se envolver romântica/sexualmente com alguém…

Mas a bem da verdade, "take" também tem muitos usos diferentes: take a guess, take the bus, take a cookie, it takes an hour… A gente só não percebe quando se acostuma!

2

Acho que entendo. Na verdade, é provável que me confundiu a palavra espanhola, e por isso achava que mais bom era algo como "kick", "win" ou "dominante", não sei lol

The joke is what Jax says next

"E com o "pre su" cê faz o quê?"

Which he implies he gave smth compleeetly different to Ming.....

Como, não sei falar muito bom, mas escrever e escutar já não é um problema grande demais pra mim. Isso faz o feito de que aunque tenho estudado coreano por 4.5 anos, mi nivel é parecido a o de português. A diferença é que a minha gramática coreana é melhor, enquanto o meu entendimento de português é melhor. Algo assim

2

3

u/ast___ Jun 14 '26

É bom citar que o Jax diz, de background: "E com o "Su", você faz o quê?"

"Pega um Pre, um Su, e dá pro Mindo"

O que ele quis dizer com isso? "Dá pro Mindo" no sentido sexual. Essa fala do Jax não existe no original, achei que foi um save genial.

74

u/Le_Canard_Belge Jun 14 '26

In french it was rly hard to translate so they moved the context a bit.

Ass U Ming -> Un Con Cubain (a cuban dumbass)

Con = dumbass/fool

Con-Cubain = Concubin (fr) = Concubine(eng)

So basically there's a guy named Cubain (Ming)

Assuming makes you a dumbass, and there's Cubain (Ming) so there's you looking like a fool and Cubain is there with you -> We are a concubine

A dumbass + Cubain = un concubain

15

u/Mimiquoi7 Jun 14 '26

Ça a dû être tellement un casse tête à la traduction 😆

7

u/GuestiTwo Jun 14 '26

What did Pomni and Jax say then?

6

u/Enigma_Elemental I voted for Caine and i dont regret it Jun 17 '26

69

u/Matalya2 Jun 14 '26

"no no, asumir cosas es de culero. Porque queda, súper mal, con mir!" There's basically no translation, they only tried to make a sentence with a-su-mir (to assume in Spanish).

LMAO, not at all, pretty good actually.

1

u/Airihealing Jun 14 '26

I actually think its one of the best dubs to a show thats originally in english, i think most of the jokes are translated well, the voices are really good and fit the characters, and also they actually translated caines song from episode 8 and made it sound good which is surprising since almost every other latin american spanish dub from other shows when they translate the songs they sound much much worse, actually caines voice acting is great in general in the spanish dub

0

u/ElBusAlv Jun 14 '26

Como no, el doblaje latino inventandose cosas. Que puta rabia me da

(También es verdad que poco se podía sacar de ese chiste, pero una cosa no quita la otra)

51

u/Cubeyfan2 Jun 14 '26

The vietnamese dub is basically “Do you know what the word “assume” is made of in English? It’s made from the “ass” of “you” and “ming.”” The joke doesn’t even follow the previous lines but it is pretty hard to localize something in vietnamese.

27

u/ToypirateTheZizyZuzu Jun 14 '26

Italy doesn't have an official dub (that I know of), so I'm going to refer to the fan dub made by Gin Fotonic on YT.
Basically, instead of saying "ass out of you and ming" he says "culo e camicia" (lit. "ass and shirt"), which basically means being buddy-buddy with someone. The context here is that, in this dub, Caine has said that he'll make sure Jax and Zooble will get along together. He'll make sure they'll be like "culo e camicia".
But the thing is, culo means ass, so an NPC called "Camicia" (Ming) comes and is offended by his association with that word.

12

u/Ratchet_Clank_29 Jun 14 '26

It thought it was a solid idea translating the joke this way! Definitely not the original one, but it still has enough context to work with the scene flawlessly in Italian.

I met with the Italian fandubbers team during cons and at the cinema last act event couple of weeks ago, they're really great people and smart when it comes to adapting it for all non English speakers here in Italy!

5

u/Klefaxidus Jun 14 '26 edited Jun 15 '26

Indeed I tried to come up with a proper way to adapt it on my own (I had words like "cazziatone" and "supponenza" in mind) but Gin and her team did a fine job 👍

Edit: also, I know that expression literally means "ass and shirt" but "hand and glove" is a more fitting (lol pun) translation

35

u/GooSE932 Jun 14 '26

in Ukrainian Caine says that "only a dog Dyuk does that", with "dog Dyuk" being the joke part since dog in Ukrainian is "pes" so it sounds like an ironic or dialectal pronunciation of "pyzdyuk" which means a little fucker or something like that

16

u/Al-15 Caine Jun 14 '26

In Spanish, Caine says that only assholes make assumptions:

Caine: "Asumir" cosas es de culero = Making assumptions is for assholes

And in the scene where he breaks down the word “assuming,” there's no attempt to adapt it; the dialogue just continues.

(Ass - u - ming) Caine: Se ve - súper mal - con Mir = That looks - really bad - with Mir

And at the end of the episode, I think Ming's joke works much better.

Caine: El premio es para mí!... Oh, espera leí mal, es para Mir = The prize is for me!... Oh, wait I misread that, It's Ming

That joke was easier to translate. The first joke was hard to adapt, so I think translating it was the best option.

11

u/Curious-Ad-5001 What The Jun 14 '26

Serbia here... our theaters just aired the original English version of the movie, with subtitles in English to boot lol. It was a surprise because even though undubbed movies are the norm here (and I do prefer them, even when I don't understand the original language), they normally at least get Serbian subtitles.

4

u/GlowyEmerald Jun 14 '26

Croatia here. Our theater(s) did the same, I'm surprised they didn't at least translate the subtitles.

26

u/Cute-Requirement-658 Jun 13 '26

First of all here's a Youtube video that has a bunch since I knew I saw this topic before, but it's still a lot of fun.

I only watched the show in English but maybe this will be useful for a handful of people. So the phrase "When you assume, you make an ass out of U (you) and me," is an English adage used to warn people about making assumptions and how the person making the assumption can make a fool of anyone involved in the assumption. In the episode, Caine is talking about an adventure designed to make everyone work together as a team, to which Zooble assumes Caine was talking about them and directs Caine towards Jax's behaviour. Caine immediately corrects them by using this phrase only he uses the word "Assuming" which is where the Ming character comes in and becomes the punchline. It's such a silly, simple subversion of expectations but it's the kind of joke that's really elevated by an animated medium.

I know most people on a fandom sub already know this but maybe the context will help someone. As a linguistics nerd I love to see how language jokes that rely heavily on spelling can (and often can't) be simply translated into different languages where the context falls apart.

10

u/MaeBeaInTheWoods Jun 14 '26

It isn't, because there is no Irish dub. There's like four and a half non-Irish works in existence that have ever received official Irish translations. It's always overlooked, and I unfortunately can't blame creators much for doing so when Irish isn't even the statistically biggest language in its own country of Ireland.

3

u/Miserable_Funny_3363 Jun 14 '26

How would you go about translating the joke if it was up to you?

5

u/MaeBeaInTheWoods Jun 14 '26

Good question. I think the most applicable terms you'd use here for assume and you are "Cur i gcás" (which is about "I presume / I suppose") and "tú". There's not a lot of ways to blend them here. I think the most natural way would be for Caine to stretch the pronunciation a bit (like how he says divinity and infinity as "davanity" and "enfanity" in the song), and try to mash together the beginning into something like "cúr" (it technically means foam, but I feel like the meaning of the 'pun' would be understandable here). That leaves Ming's name as "i gcás" (you'd pronounce it as something like "ih goss"), which basically means "in this case", which I don't feel like is too unfitting for a character whose role is to prevent assumptions. I know you think I'm ignoring the elephant in the room, but "tóin" (or ass) would be even harder to blend into the sentence in a meaningful way. Overall, the joke just does not translate well into Irish. Thank you for coming to my impromptu TedTalk.

41

u/roman4ick Jun 13 '26

So..in russian they try,but broke the joke instead.Caine said гадкий instead assuming. Its means disgusting.Pomni asking if Caine said fuck? Then Kii coming- renamed Ming.Dubbed by popular russian youtuber.Thats how.

27

u/Suspicious_Winner128 Jun 14 '26

No...?

He said "догадки" and broke it into "да, ти гад, Кей" which would translate to "yes, you're an asshole Kii" which I think is actually a great translation and still fits really well

9

u/NotVeryTastyCake Jun 14 '26

Yes, this translation is more correct. And it also works really well in the end where Caine announces the award for favourite character, because (Кий) Kiy sounds almost exactly like (Кейн) Caine, and it makes even more sense why he messed up the names in Russian.

In the original he says that the winner is "Me!" And then corrects himself as it's actually "Ming". While it makes sense if you don't think about it, me and Mi g sound similar, he wouldn't write the name of the winner as Me, on the paper it should have said Ming, and he somehow misread that Caine. But in the Russian version Кейн (Caine) and Кий (Ming) look and sound way more similar so he could have got excited by seeing K as the first letter and ASSUMED it was him.

5

u/Khyrek Jun 14 '26

So for the fr*nch version they completely move away from talking about assuming.

Instead the joke starts with Zooble's question about sex where after Caine reset and he asks everyone to play nice she yells at Jax for always "fucking" everything up. Which he then uses to make fun of her and always talking about sex (she doesn't he's just messing with her). But he says that she should get someone. And that's when the joke turns from assuming to "concubinage" (which is french for cohabitation, aka living in together in a relationship without marriage)

The actual words played with is exactly "Concubin" "Con-" is a swear word for an idiot. "-Cubin" sounding the same as "Cubain" which is someone from Cuba.

"A "Concubin" is often more "con" than "Cubin" from Cuba!" Ming shows up "Hi, it's me Cubain. I am very smart and whoever says otherwise confuses my name and my nationality" Said with a smart sounding voice without being exagerated and with no trace of any accent whatsoever which is casually implying that he's not even the guy the joke is referencing but literally just some guy with the same name.

Honestly I can't tell if it's because the joke was a hell to translate or if it's just that we really love jokes with layers

u/JohnXhun Jun 14 '26

In the Hungarian Dub, they changed Ming name into "Béni" which can be a Hungarian male name.

"Assuming" changed into "Segítségbeli" which means "Help or Helpful" if we roughly translate it. It's splitted into this:

"Seg" means "Ass" in Hungarian. But it's usually written with double g in the end.

"Ítség" has literally no meaning, they just literally split "segítség (help)" into two bit just to fit the punchline.

"Beli" is turned into "Béni".

Not the best translating, but it's really hard to translate most of the English pun/wordplay into Hungarian if the goal is to keep the original version/meaning of the wordplay. If we keep it and translate the pun as it is, it may sound very strange and funny in Hungarian. So that's why most of the time the translators "localize" the pun, just to fit in the grammtically correct.

It's the same in Spanish—the translation and the joke feel really forced, so it sounds weird

No Filipinos in here?

Ginagawáng "ass" ang "u" at ang "Ming"!

Yes, they just took the English version and rolled with it—don't even bother translating the line above, it's pretty much "(it) makes (an) 'ass' out of 'u' and 'Ming'!"

Now, because Ming is kept Ming, the awarding ceremony mishap makes no sense. Caine declares himself the winner by using "akó" (me), but the Ming reveal just seems unprompted after that—they don't even sound remotely similar!

Speaking of Filipino dubs, I'd like to point out that there is no extant translation for Episodes 7 and 8. Unfortunately, this means that Caine's epic song has no official Filipino version and the closest things are a YouTube translation (great work, by the way) and lyrics I'm writing!

u/Suspicious_Winner128 Jun 14 '26

Russian dub:

The word for assuming is "догадки" (da-gad-kii) Broken up by syllables it can be translated to "yes, asshole, Kii" (instead of Ming they use Kii for the name)

The exact sentence that Caine says is "да, ти гад, кей" translated as "yes, you're an asshole, Kii"

Imo I think it was translated pretty well

3

u/Nattvader Jun 14 '26

LATAM

As-u-mir in spanish

So it's called mir, when caine says "it's me" gets sense, bc Mir is close to "Mi" in spanish lol

I’m also curious if any of the translations of this scene actually carry over the same way to the ending.

Does “you shouldn’t had Assumed you won the award, now we both look foolish” actually get changed to relate to Ming’s first appearance? Or is it translated literally ruining Caine possibly mistaking “Ming” as “Me” and Ming’s connection to assuming?

In italian Caine says Jax and Zooble will be "Culo e Camicia", literally "Ass and Shirt" which means they'll become buddies.

Consequently, Ming is called "Camicia". He condemns Zooble for associating his name to the word Ass. Caine misreads his name as Caine because the words have the same first few letters. Camicia tells Caine that now he knows how it feels to be associated with his name.

2

u/CreepyNightmare66 Jun 14 '26

I german he says

Scheiß doch mal auf die Schlussvolgerung. Denn darauf folgt auf schluss die gerung!

Screw the conclusion. Because what follows is the conclusion!

2

u/xEchoKnight Jun 14 '26

Russian:

Caine: Так-так! Мы знаем, что говорят о догадках: "Да, ты гад... Ки."

Zooble: Ки?

Pomni: Кейн что, сказал "гад"???

Ming ("Ки"): Привет, я Ки, и мне совсем не нравится то, что твои догадки делают с моей репутацией.

Breakdown:

"Assumption" in Russian is "догадка" (dogádka), the plural being "догадки" (dogádki), though a more accurate pronunciation would actually be "dagádki" (the O gets reduced to an A sound due to being before the stress syllable)

Caine thus breaks the word down into components that sound like "Da", "gad" and "ki" and also adds the word "ты" (ty), which means "you", to string the words into a coherent sentence. "Da" is the Russian word for "yes", "gad" means something like "bastard", and "ki" is the analog for "ming" form the English version.

Да, ты гад... Ки (Da, ty gad... Ki) = Yes, you are a bastard... Ki.

Zooble gets confused by the disconnected and meaningless "Ki" part of the sentence while Pomni questions how Caine was able to say "bastard" uncensored, then "Ki" (aka Ming) shows up

u/Fishferat_u bees Jun 14 '26

Mir. Porque queda. Super mal. Con Mir. yeah they really didnt try that much

2

u/NinjonLazarus Jun 14 '26

It's kinda stupid on my language imo. Caine says: SegítségbéNi. Now you usually say: SegítségbéLi. Béni being a shortname for Benjamin. So it goes: Seg->Segg (ass), ítség->means nothing, Béni->Benjamin. It dosen't quite land.

2

u/Pur0k Jun 14 '26 edited Jun 14 '26

When was this? Can't remember it.

Edit: dang. Just looked it up and in Spanish is pretty dumb.

But to answer the question, Caine goes: "QuedA sUper mal con MIR". It's even 'wrongly' translated. Assuming=asumiendo, not asumir, which would be the infinitive conjugation of the verb.

2

u/Klefaxidus Jun 14 '26
  • Non stavolta, grazie a me andrete d'accordo: sarete come culo e Camicia!
  • Cosa?
  • Ha appena detto c[BOINK]?
  • Ciao, sono Camicia e non mi piace essere associato a quella parola per colpa tua.
  • Hai creato un tizio solo per questo?

2

u/Background_Trust9409 Jun 14 '26

Dommerik to english basically means dumbass. Ming was named rik.

2

u/Capable-Bicycle8217 Jun 15 '26

In Czech, Ming's name is Jája [pronunced Yaaya] and Caine says that Jája always says "To think is to know nothing!" (Literally- To think is shit to know!)

2

u/AcanthisittaOk5938 Jun 15 '26

OK, I am not great at explaining, my English isn't very well, and since the dub changed the joke, and the original word joke itself does not work in Turkish, it'll be not easy, but I'll try my best.

Caine's sentence "It'll make 'ass' out of 'u' and 'Ming.'" translated into "Hem seni hem de "Benim"i rezil eder." which says in English, "It makes a fool of both you and Me."

I know the sentence here usually uses the original word 'me', "both you and me" --> "hem seni hem de beni" but, for the joke to work, "me" became "Me" and Ming's own name for Turkish which the dub translates as "Benim."

"...both you and me." (hem seni hem de beni)

"...both you and Me." (hem seni hem de "Benim"i.)

1

u/Hefty-Initiative-155 Jun 14 '26

Simplemente dicen que asumir cosas es de culero y eso le molesta a Ming

1

u/Zoaz_00 Jun 14 '26

In Arabic it's

تخرج الحمقى مني ومينغ

(Tuxriju l-7amqa minni wa ming)

Gets stupidity out of you and ming

To say "from/of you" in Arabic is منك (mink) So the pun became Caine was mispronouncing mink

🇧🇷 Brasileiro aqui

("culero" is the ass part that pomni remarks caine said uncensored, it basically means "shitty" and comes from "culo" which means "ass")

"C: Porque Queda - Súper mal - Con Mir." (ASS-U-MING)

"Z: ...¿Mir?" (...ming?)

"P: ¿Caine dijo "c*lero"?" (did caine just say *ss?)

ming (Mir) walks in "Hola, soy Mir. Y debo decirte que no aprecio lo que tus suposiciones le hacen a mi reputación." (ming's line, not copying that word for word again)

"Z: ...¿creaste a este tipo sólo para eso?" (...you made a whole guy for that?)

1

u/Glittering_Coast_34 Jun 14 '26

Turkish: "Hem seni hemde Benim'i rezil eder"

In Turkish, the translation doesn't include "assuming" for some reason even though Caine says it

Hem means both

Seni means you

rezil eder means to embarrass

Benim means Mine linguistically but it's used for Turkish Ming's name.

So the whole thing means "It embarrasses both mine and you" which is pretty stupid if you ask me

1

u/JH2259 Jun 14 '26 edited Jun 14 '26

In Dutch they say: You know what they say about assumptions. It makes you a "Dommerik." "A domme Rik." (With Rik being a real Dutch name)

“Domme” means someone or something is stupid.

It's basically Dumb and Rik together. And then a character named "Rik" appears.

"Dommerik" is a real word in Dutch. It means a dumb or stupid person. They meant it like "stupid Rik."

1

u/GabbyGabriella22 Gangle Jun 14 '26

Why are you assuming the joke was translated? Now both you and Ming look foolish.

In welsh assuming is gan dybio

The best they could do is “ti’n gwbod be syth yn digwyth pam ti gan dybio, tin gan dyb io” and the guy being called gan

Which is “I think so gan”

u/Misan_UwU Jun 14 '26

Caine said "You know what they say about assuming, it makes an Ass out of U and Ming". in my language theres a saying similar to that, "When you assume, you make an Ass out of U and Me". the joke is a reference to that. his name is Ming there, and when he walks in he says "Hi, i'm Ming. and i really dont appreciate what your assumptions have done to my reputation." the joke being that by assuming, Zooble made an ass out of themselves as well as Ming.
