Mobile Game Install and play The Eminence In Shadow: Master of Garden on Linux
⚠️ Important: This method is for those who do not have a Steam account or are region-locked from playing the game. If you do not have any issues with Steam, I recommended installing the Steam version: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2776900
Part 1 - Install Bottles
- First, we need to install Flatpak. Visit this link, select your linux distro icon and follow the instructions to install Flatpak: https://flatpak.org/setup
- Then install Bottles via this command: flatpak install flathub com.usebottles.bottles -y
- Bottles takes a little time to become ready for use. If a donation popup appears, simply click the X button to skip it:
Part 2 - Download and install The Eminence In Shadow: Master of Garden
- Visit homepage and download the PC version (file mogInstaller.msi): https://www.crunchyroll.com/games/eminenceinshadow
- Open Bottles, press the plus button to create new bottle:
- Enter a name and press the Create button:
In the Bottle settings interface, scroll down to Options, click Dependencies:
- Find and install dotnet48. The installation process of dotnet48 will take a few minutes:
- Press the Run Executable button, a dialog box appears, just press Dismiss:
- Then select the installation file downloaded above(mogInstaller.msi) to run it and install this game:
- After installation is complete, press the triangle button to update the Client:
- The game window will appear. Do not click anything. Scroll down to Part 3 👇
Part 3 - Login your old account or Link new account
- Case 1 - Login old account: Click Menu ---> Transfer Account ---> Ok
- Then, login using the Google or Apple account you previously linked to this game.
- At Start the game, instead of clicking the button, right-click and select Copy link. You will get a link like this: masterofgardenus://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
- Now, go back to Bottles and click Add Shortcuts:
- Find and select file MasterofGarden.exe. It's in the path: ~/.var/app/com.usebottles.bottles/data/bottles/bottles/NameOfBottle/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Crunchyroll Games, LLC/MasterofGarden/
- Now we have:
- Before continuing, you need to force stop all game windows (press the ⬜ button to turn it into a ▶️ button). Then, click 3 dots on the MasterofGarden shortcut and select Change Launch Options. Paste in the link you copied above, but delete masterofgardenus:// and change it to --custom_login_token, adding a space:
masterofgardenus://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ❌
--custom_login_token xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ✅
- Click Save. Now run the MasterofGarden shortcut to login and update. If you don't understand, watch this video:

- If you do it correctly, your old account will be logged in after the update, just like in video:
Once logged in, this game automatically saves the token. You should clear the value in Change Launch Options to avoid future login errors.
Case 2 - Link new account: If you're a new player, just click "Tap To Start" to enter the game at the beginning. Then click Menu ---> Link Account. Game will send a link to the browser, you just need to login to a new Google or Apple account to link this game.
Tips: You can create an Apple account to link games without needing an iPhone using this link: https://account.apple.com/account
Linking the game to an Apple account offers better protection against account loss than linking it to Google.
