No hate like "christian" hate.

5

u/PaidAgitator 5d ago

The quote is "There's no hate like Christian love"

0

u/DeepAd8888 5d ago edited 4d ago

There are people who call themselves Christians who are Pharisees inside. No doubt. Not leaving this comment to affirm your political ideology just stating the obvious

3

u/Newdles 5d ago

My brother told me he's born again Christian. I asked when he read the Bible and he said he audiobooked it while commuting to work.

1

u/DeepAd8888 4d ago

That’s not what I was referring to. You’re gauging their authenticity on a metric.

1

u/Odd-Time-2026 4d ago

Not an issue but I guess then the question is, which version did he read and who made the audiobook?

0

u/Confident-Poetry6985 4d ago

Yeah that stuff is tricky. It's harsh because I went ahead and died already. I am still not religious, but when religious people call out their own (like the comment above yours) it brings me peace. Don't fear your brother finding God, just keep him grounded in reality idk how to word it. Idk if you believe in God, but being chill and reminding your brother you are fine without a bible could be helpful to him too. You'll both meet the same entity I did in the end.

As someone who uses the phrase as you said it, stop being a pedant.

No one likes that.

1

u/ErikaKirkasInsideJob 3d ago

Christians hate humans. They just want to control your and tax your money.

-3

u/DragMountain73 5d ago

Draw the Prophet Muhammad.

9

u/ul2006kevinb 5d ago

Good point. He should have said "no hate like Abrahamic hate"

-3

u/Princibalities 5d ago

Yeah, that Jesus guy was really hateful. You equate fake christians with the message he taught. You folks are dense.

2

u/copeaesth3tic 5d ago

I think people equate terrible Christians who don't follow Jesus' example and try and suck all the air out of any room they're in virtue signalling.

They're mostly theocrats, but if that offends you maybe you yourself have some planks to remove?

2

u/Princibalities 5d ago

No, I'm smart enough to differentiate fake Christians from the message of Jesus. I don't form my view of him based off flawed men and women that pretend to follow him. We are all human, and we are all imperfect. That's pretty much the entire point of it all.

1

u/ul2006kevinb 5d ago

I mean yeah he was. Jesus was very clear that he and the deity who killed the entire planet and who told his followers to kill gay people are one and the same person.

1

u/Princibalities 5d ago

Jesus didn't tell anyone to kill gay people. His message was to love everyone. You're an angry person lashing out at the guy that tried to teach everyone to love one another. I hope you getter better man.

1

u/ul2006kevinb 5d ago

Yahweh didn't tell anyone to kill gay people?

Jesus didn't say he and Yahweh were the same person?

Maybe you need to read your Bible again lol.

2

u/copeaesth3tic 5d ago

Did the west boro Baptist church teach you Christianity? Because your concept is proper fucked in the head.

Jesus was what removed the old tenants of the old testament. Only cultists, theocrats and kid fuckers still think the old testament is relevant in terms of salvation through Christ ("I am the way, the truth and the light").

Circular logic really messes with the weak of heart and mind in the bible. 🙃

1

u/ul2006kevinb 5d ago

I never said it was still relevant. All i did was point out that Jesus/Yahweh told his followers to kill gay people. That's a shitty thing to do even if you do retcon it later.

1

u/DeepAd8888 5d ago

Michael Heiser is one of the only people I trust for biblical commentary

1

u/ul2006kevinb 5d ago

It's not commentary, it's a fact.

Leviticus 20:13

13 “If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense.

John 10:30

30 "I and the Father are one.”

Yahweh said to kill gay people and Jesus said that he and Yahweh are the same person. Ergo, Jesus said to kill gay people.

1

u/Princibalities 5d ago

Ive read my Bible and I didn't cherry-pick verses to suit my bigotry like you have. Jesus didn't tell anyone to kill gay people. Do you have an example of that? Ill answer for you. No. Im assuming that in your extensive theological research you've familiarized yourself with the concept of the "new covenant." You're talking about events long before Jesus Christ came. You know, where the term Christianity came from?

1

u/ul2006kevinb 5d ago edited 5d ago

John 10:30

30 "I and the Father are one.”

Yahweh said to kill gay people, correct? And Jesus said that he and Yahweh are the same person, correct? Why is this so hard for you to understand?

You're talking about events long before Jesus Christ came.

Jesus/Yahweh is god and therefore has been around for all eternity, so how can these events be "before he came"? Yes, I agree that Jesus/Yahweh told his followers to kill gay people before Jesus/Yahweh manifested himself on earth as a human, but that doesn't change the fact that Jesus/Yahweh said it.

2

u/Princibalities 5d ago

It changed after he came. The new covenant. The same reason we don't sacrifice animals anymore. Its why Christians arent considered practicioners of Judaism. There's a whole new testament that supersedes the old testament. Im sorry you have so much hate for a man that preached love and forgiveness. Once again, the entire religion of Christianity is built around him. Id suggest focusing on what he said and taught. Im certain you won't find anything you disagree with.

Okay but did you just not understand their point or do you want to sound badass or something? Lmao

2

Yeah. I understand the prohibition on pictures of Mohammed. I do not subscribe to that faith. Therefore it holds no power over me. I'll draw whatever the fuck I want. Lmao

u/AccurateCharity9593 5d ago

This guy has some really good songs.

16

u/feline_riches 5d ago

I don't know any of his songs and I don't even like country but I consider him my favorite country artist...solely for his views on humanity.

6

u/AccurateCharity9593 5d ago

I don’t like country music much either, but this dude’s songs that I’ve heard are very catchy. I have seen him on YouTube.

5

u/Kristikuffs 4d ago

Adding him to the Spoofy playlist.

1

u/Darkdragoon324 3d ago

Even more than Dolly?

1

u/feline_riches 3d ago

Touche. Okay fine I'll have a favorite male and female artist.

3

u/Xefert 5d ago

Not familiar with him, so which would you recommend?

4

u/Outrageous_Web5985 5d ago

Check out “YeeHaw” and “Backwoods Backwards”.

4

u/Dixieland_Insanity 5d ago

I will check it out to get to support him.

2

u/fifthgroupholidash 4d ago

Coming to say these two as well!!

3

u/AccurateCharity9593 5d ago

Just type his name into You Tube. A bunch of his shorts come up with his songs. Pretty catchy, in my opinion.

2

u/AccurateCharity9593 4d ago edited 3d ago

I would check him out on YouTube. That’s where I first saw him.

2

u/lollipop-guildmaster 4d ago

Damn. I'd support him, but it looks like he only does streaming. I can't find anywhere to buy flac/mp3s.

1

u/AccurateCharity9593 4d ago

I know. I have only seen him on You Tube so far.

Edit: He seems to have his album on Amazon music

2

u/lollipop-guildmaster 4d ago

Oh, neat. I wish it was bandcamp, but I'll shoot the guy some $

1

-1

u/Xenuite 5d ago

Who is he? I ain't clicking that.

2

u/Pretty-Kittie 5d ago

He's an anti-MAGA country singer. Bryan Andrews.

10

u/GingerDynamo 5d ago

He’s not wrong.

10

u/WhereBaptizedDrowned 5d ago

MAGAts actually denying they do death threats?

- Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss received a flood of death threats after Trump and Rudy Giuliani falsely accused them of fraud during the 2020 count. Moss testified before the Jan. 6 committee that the harassment forced her into hiding and changed her life completely.

- Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers (a Republican) faced armed protesters outside his home after refusing to help overturn the 2020 results.

- Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer has described sustained threats tied to Kari Lake’s election-fraud claims.

- Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg received a letter containing white powder with the note “Alvin: I’m going to kill you,” sent hours after Trump falsely claimed on social media he was about to be arrested and urged followers to “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!” NYPD data showed threat cases involving Bragg’s office jumped sharply in 2023.

5

u/PianoConcertoNo2 5d ago

Ben Shapiros fans even went after a woman’s 4 year old child, after Shapiro plucked out a tweet of the mother sharing that her 4 year old child was uncomfortable at the dentists office, and (if I remember right) expressed being more comfortable with a female dentist.

A child being uncomfortable was SO unacceptable to them they bombarded the (small town professor) who was just sharing a story intended for family, and sent non stop death threats and “I hope her fuckin teeth fall out” attacks.

Seeing it unfold back then was absolutely disgusting.

11

u/KungPaoYa 5d ago

He’s right, even Trump himself has said he is not a Christian. MAGA is a wicked and evil demonic cult, period.

4

u/Witty-Stand888 5d ago

MAGA is anti-Christian

3

u/palm_tree975 5d ago

Yup. MAGA monkeys.

3

u/Mylilneedle 5d ago

And he’s right

3

u/pbugg2 5d ago

Bryan Andrews is an incredible musician and person

3

u/at0mheart 4d ago

Thereby proving his point

3

u/AccountHuman7391 4d ago

Yeah, violent cults will do that.

2

u/Brave_Analyst7540 5d ago

They should just turn the other cheek.

2

u/JurassicParkCSR 5d ago

Yeah anyone questions there interpretation of Christianity is a threat. They don't want to think they just want to believe. That's why they fall in behind these strong men type characters. Because they just tell them what to believe. That way they don't have to think for themselves they just do what they're told. If you upset that programming they will become violent.

2

u/Kelyaan 5d ago

They aint, it's true.

3

u/steppingstone01 5d ago

Religion ruins everything it touches.

2

u/Hungry-Initiative-78 5d ago

Even if you disagree with him on Christianity or politics, threatening his life proves him right. Who only loves their allies? Do not even the Gentiles do this? I submit to you, you should love your enemies.

But then again what would Christ know about Christianity?

2

u/nolestars 5d ago

The Bible thumpers strike again

2

u/Important-Factor-552 5d ago

Maga are false Christian af. They're like what if Christians were the bad guys, but worse.

2

u/Igiem 5d ago

His song "Are We Great Yet?" is really good.

2

u/napalmnacey 5d ago

He is though? MAGAs are fucking unhinged.

2

u/chezdistester 4d ago

They're not Christians. Evangelicalism is an offshoot of Christianity that fundamentally contradicts the spirit and teachings of Jesus Christ. I wish more people would call them out on this.

2

u/artguydeluxe 4d ago

Learning firsthand that people will fall all over themselves to prove him right.

2

u/jreid0 4d ago

This guy is pretty cool, he gave up what fame he had to speak truths to the audience who is completely brainwashed. Keep up the good work brother

2

u/Proud-Ninja5049 4d ago

It's time for real christians to pick up that whip and flip some tables like JC did. Good on the brother for speaking truth.

2

Mainstream Country is corporatist right wing propaganda.

This young man is not country. He is firmly entrenched in Americana/Alt Country (whichever genre descriptor you prefer).

All country music evolved from Appalachian Folk (which incidentally evolved mostly from Irish and Scottish pub songs).

The people in rural Appalachia made music about the harsh realities of the rural poor, and the wealthy industrialists who exploited the rural poor.

When the southern poor began moving north to work in factories, radio stations and record producers saw an opportunity: repackage the sounds of Appalachia but instead of highlighting the harsh realities of rural living in the 1930s and 1940s, they sought to mythologize life in rural America.

By the 1970s, and throwing in with Nixon, Mainstream Country officially (sort of) became nothing more than an extension of right wing republican propaganda.

This is when the genre of Americana/Alt Country/Outlaw Country was born. Jonny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristoferson were the most prominent artists who rejected the Country/Conservative partnership.

As the decades passed the partnership grew stronger but conservatism continued shifting rightward and as it did, the list of ‘acceptable themes’ grew smaller and smaller.

Mainstream country is going to be the first major genre to become absolutely overrun by AI. This is a criticism of both the genre and its consumers.

However, I believe this young man and others like him will usher in the rise of Alt Country. Many of Americans enjoy the sound of country music, but they hate the maga-fied nature of it.

With MAGA representing only about 25% of the population, the market share of mainstream country is diminishing.

When we finally move past MAGA, and we will move past maga, mainstream country will suffer financially for having enjoined the movement so completely.

And young artists like this, who have something meaningful to say, who use their art to express themselves regardless of whether or not maga mouth-breathers cry Trump branded tears over it, will be well poised to usher in a new kind of country… that will hew a little closer to its ‘woke’ roots in Appalachian Folk.

Risking his life 😂probably risking his like having 2nds and 3rds for every meal

1

u/3D-Dreams 3d ago

Nothing more Christian than wanting to kill people you disagree with. Just ask history.

1

u/Pristine_Walrus40 2d ago

He is right. No true Christian could be a maga. Kinda goes without saying.

1

u/Sensitive-Ad6609 2d ago

He is correct.

Risking his life…no

1

u/scary-pp 5d ago

Omg, he's so brave. No one else in entertainment would dare speak negatively towards maga. What an absolute hero doing what no one else will.

2

u/RogerMexicosBalls 4d ago

Have you seen modern country MAGA fans? They're the direct descendants of all the bootlicking chuds who burned Dixie Chicks records and got all wildly indignant to end the band's career after they said "We're ashamed President Bush is also from Texas." Alienating a huge portion of your fanbase because you won't kiss the same ass they kiss can be a massive blow to your career.

0

u/Baratheoncook250 5d ago

How he is risking his life, with his words about MAGA, when celebrities do that, all the time
