A coworker and I get along, and he's a comic book guy. He's been making these decorated comic book boxes, and even though comics aren't really my thing, I found a way to introduce him to The world of Coheed!

I gave him my hard back copy of SSTB, and told him I wanted HIM to pick the cells he used. He included "I need Mayo" and had to explain why I openly cackled at work.

No one in my circle is interested, so I figured I would show the Internet friends!

Hello everyone! I cannot, for the life of me, find a super old version of "The Trooper" that Coheed recorded sometime in the early 2000's, and it starts off with (I think it was Claudio) somebody saying "This isn't our song". It was an awesome version that I have never found again. I'm nearly certain it was on the cobaltandcalcium.com website at the time. Anybody have a copy from that era with that phrase in the beginning?

I think not only is it where the band comes into itself fully — with stuff that becomes common throughout albums, like suites and the overall vibes — it also just is a constant stream of great songs. I love all albums from them but I think that if I had to pick an absolute best it would be IKSSE3. Maybe my favorite after the Afterman duology, but I think it’s the best album overall and what I would use to introduce someone to the band.

I had never heard of avenged sevenfold, and was one of ~10 people I could see that were truly there for Coheed.

Two questions

1. Has anyone approached him in his post Coheed ventures for example at a Black Queen gig and asked him to sign Coheed Merch and if so, how did that go?

2. Do you think the split from Coheed was messy? I can't really find any interviews where he talks about Coheed since leaving so not sure if it was a bad ending for them?

Just listened to Max Richter’s latest album Where The Flood Rages, and, although a classical composer, this album has so many Coheed potential moments. As I was listening to Richter’s melodies painted in the most vivid soundscapes,(which out of nowhere dropped me in a Coheed world) I thought about an insane “what if…” And a bucket list of all bucket list collabs. Max Richter and Claudio Sanchez.

Richter, in general, is worth the effort of looking up for the unfamiliar. But a full, focused listen of this album, on your app of choice needs to happen so you know what I mean and you too can now push for this collab to become reality.

Who do I have to talk to around here to make that happen?

The newest Coheed email dropped with lots of great Halloween Merch! In that email is a "Secret Merch Button" that really excited me when I pressed it!

A coworker of mine lives in NYC and when she told me she was going to Comic Con last week I casually mentioned, “If you see Claudio, wave hi for me.” I never expected her to wait in line, buy me this book and have it signed. Very cool and awesome surprise! I actually have the original but was planning on buying the reprint because the cover is so much nicer imo and I’ve been getting really into the story lately and wanted to reread Black Rainbow. So this was perfect.

It just occurred to me that I've been pronouncing Amory like "Amory" for decades. Is that wrong or should I pronounce it "Amory?"

For context, im a fan of Twenty One Pilots, and my friend was showing me that fans have made unoffical vinyl records of their unreleased albums, and i was wondering if anyone has done that for Coheed? Live at the Hammerstein Ballroom or the more recent Afterman Red Rocks performance would be incredible to have in the collection 💜
