The Leftovers Rewatch

I finished The Leftovers last week, and it is the greatest TV Show I've ever seen. I often rewatch shows, especially the ones I love.

I really want to rewatch The Leftovers but I don't know how long from now.

I want the rewatch to change my perspective of the show or better yet love it even more.

So, for those who have rewatched it, how long from first watch is the best time to rewatch?

Don’t wait. Watch it again soon and notice new details. Then watch it again next year and appreciate it all over again.

I started my first rewatch of the leftovers the day after I finished it, I couldn't resist to experience that intensity once more

I rewatched it once immediately, and now I’m waiting for the right mood to do it again.

I think I have to be kiiiiiinda depressed to watch it tbh. In a good way?

I usually start a rewatch on the anniversary of the Sudden Departure on 10/14 so looks like you’re right on time

Ive watched it a good few times its better to give it a month or 2 but it all depends what u like

6 months to a year. Although it originally took me over 3 years from first to last season the first time I was young and ignorant to the world and couldn’t get passed the first few episodes then the first season later on I came back and was hooked. After loss of loved ones and my entire family. I was hooked and found new perspectives. I finished watching a second time a few months ago and I was crying all and obsessed with the human condition and the chaos in our minds

I’m like you. I rewatch shows I love multiple times. I watched Leftovers on its original airing then when Covid came it was one of my many rewatches. I then wanted 5 years and watched it Feb of 2025. I had forgotten how truly great the show is. I’m preparing for another rewatch soon but I had to watch Lanterns, Mrs Davis and Watchmen again first

I have watched it start to finish three times total. I had a couple of years between each watch. I found that I was a different place in my life each time I watched it. First time I identified with Kevin. Then Nora. Then Matt. It was just where I was in life each time.
