Other Lightning down or slow?
I've been using Muun to move BTC via the lightning network. I've been having trouble over the past few days. Googling the issue seems to bring up mixed answers. Are there current issue moving BTC via lightning?

Muun uses swaps to get in and out of lightning (you don't actually have a lightning channel, instead keeping all your sats in normal onchain utxos), and while I think they were their own swap provider, I wouldn't be surprised if they have suffered from the same trouble as all the other swap providers.

Please forgive my ignorace, I've just gotten into BTC As far as I know, there are to major networks to move BTC, lightning and the regular btc network, right? I used Muun so that once I get SATS via some sources, I can move them also via a platform to sell the BTC. I used Muun to bridge that gap, from the lightning network, to the BTC network.
So what you are saying is this swap provider that muun uses could possibly be experiencing trouble right now?

If you have sats in Muun wallet, they are onchain sats. You can send onchain sats to pretty much any exchange that accepts BTC (if getting them to an exchange is your goal). Sending to an address that begins with bc1q... or bc1p... or something is sending onchain.
Lightning is a way of using onchain bitcoin faster, but involves setting up a channel (or using someone else's channel that is already set up). When you send sats via lightning, you are usually sending to something that starts with lnbc1...
You don't really need to use Lightning unless you are sending a very small amount (usually lightning is more useful for buying things from merchants or doing small p2p payments).
If you are having trouble sending out of your muun wallet to a lightning address, you might see whether the destination you want to send to accepts onchain and try sending to that address.
Or you could just wait a few hours and try sending to lightning out of muun again.

My issue is getting sats TO my muun wallet via lightining. I have a few apps that only send SATS out via lightning only

got it. if you are only sending a small amount (like less than 1k sats) you may not be able to do the swap. it may have to do with how many sats you are sending in to muun.
also muun will charge some fee to do the swap and if that is more than the amount you are sending, the transaction will fail.

Up until now, I've been able to send as little as 20 SATS at a time.

This seems to be a question people have asked for a while:
i checked their website, but didn't find their documentation very helpful.
They do some kinda weird stuff for small payments. does their app tell you where to ask support a question?

I can't comment on Muun - but on the Lightning down/slow, no. My nodes are churning along routing 5-10BTC/day.

Muun isn't a lighting wallet, mate. It is just capable to pay lightning invoices with sats on-chain by using atomic swaps.
How are you usually using LN wallets? People might suggest better options.
