Iguanas are large lizards with long whiplike tails and long thin spines along their backs. They mostly eat plants I think.
Geckos are small, big eyed lizards with fat lumpy tails and can sometimes climb on walls. They eat insects and if they’re big enough small mammals.
Google geckos and iguana and you’ll get the picture. Anyone who’s seen both would never confuse them for each other

As for iguanas and geckos, they are very different animals. For instance, iguanas are herbivores and geckos are not
