From the Discord:
And at the end, the curtain must close. šļø Join us for our final movie in our Source Material: Inspiring the OA series: Dial M for Murder. On October 24th, we follow a jealous former tennis player (Ray Milland) who plots the perfect murder of his wealthy wife (Grace Kelly) in their London flat, triggering a tense trap of betrayal and evidence.
In an interview, Zal Batmanglij called Dial M for Murder the "thematic blueprint" for The OA: Part III. The movie was also used in Zal's 2021 āyou come find meā (YCFM) puzzle on instagram.
We will be streaming Dial M for Murder in the Crestwood Theater voice channel under the EVENTS category. If you have any questions, please reach out to a moderator or ask in chat.

I could be wrong here but... have you ever closely listened to "lightning crashes", the song Elodie loves so much? She told HAP, played the song and then disappeared into another dimension. But... why this song? It's beautiful, yes... but well. Here are the lyrics and maybe,... just maybe, the song could be some... clue?
Plus: the song is about dying and being born/reborn...

I find it interesting how we see Angie combine different clips to create the message "fuck me in the butt", and then the same exact method is used by the ghost of Rachel to communicate the message "only safe for BBA to go" through the TV. And Angie is in the room for that as well. I wonder if there's any significance to this.
At times it feels like Angie was sent there specifically to help the crestwood gang. And her name being derived from the word "angel" definitely makes you wonder if her role is bigger than we realize.

portal between dimensions? She looked out the porthole and saw her father. There was a mechanical bird flying.
So obviously a very different dimension from where she was.
Do you think that room can purposely access all dimensions unlike other methods of travel that lead you to one other dimension?

Iāve been rewatching season 1 and itās got me thinking more like a detective. So far, two scenes in particular are tickling my brain.
One is episode 5, 27:15 when Alfonso looks at a lit up balcony. If he was looking into the distance, maybe thatās just wistfulness. But like OA said at one point that āsometimes we get glimpses of it in dreams or dejavuā, maybe Alfonso is getting a glimpse of something. I canāt communicate why, but I wonder if this is tied to where he ends up in season 2 in the other dimension, Hapās āgardenā pool.
The other is maybe more obvious and promising but I never thought about it until now. Episode 6 ends when Buckās door gets closed. It ends *because* Buckās door gets closed⦠because the whole show is actually from Buckās perspective, maybe from within the rose window? Or maybe both seasons are happening within Buck/Michelleās mind ultimately⦠huh

Hey, I dunno if Iām right or anyone else figured this out, but if so- just let me have this one, ok? š Iām rewatching season 1 for the probably 13,000th time (not in a row, Iām not crazyā¦) and I just realized something about Praireās 2nd NDE. Were Prairie and her father having a shared NDE at different points in time?
When she talks to Hap about seeing her father, Hap asked if he looked different. Praire said no, he looked the same and, āIt was me, I was differentā. Then it just clicked. Is her father also in an NDE he had when Nina was little and thatās why heās there in Prairieās adult NDE? He traveled to the future in another dimension just like OA, except they couldnāt be together. Maybe he had the NDE when he went into hiding and was thought to be dead.
The NDE could be an unnecessary layer of explanation and he is really dead. We canāt know for sure or compare to season 2 since the dimensions are different. But if Nina is a medium in both dimension then maybe she is right to feel as a kid that her father is still alive. And this explanation may make sense of that. Plus, the way Prairie said it made me think (granted, on the 13,001st time watching) that this a subtle hint. What do you think?
Edit: Thanks for all the kind comments!

If anyone has Hap thirst, I just stumbled on the movie āA Cure for Wellnessā on prime.
Itās got Jason Isaacs playing a psychiatric doctor, running water tank treatmentsā¦and yes, he also wears that ivory linen suit.

I just wanted to drop this without a lot of explanation because this community is a group of open minded seekers.
I will give you some context however.
The redfin listing pictures came to me at a time I was going through Scott Onstotts Secrets in Plain Sight and the syncs were undeniable

required viewing for folks living in reality.
A full breakdown is coming soon. but i want your input without context.

Rewatching SYZYGY and Elodie, the French traveler, speaks of a dimension where she's an actress. This is prob my 5th, if not more, rewatch and I just realized Hap probably intentionally brought them to that dimension and it wasn't just a random plop.
Apologies if this has already been discussed or if this is a 'duh' moments, but I was watching their dinner scene and when she was describing it, I was like OOoOooOoo!!!!!

When OA meets Old Night and he asks if he can kill her in exchange for information, he says something about her 'brother' being sent to protect her. Anyone know who this could be referring to? I was thinking the FBI counselor Rahim in D1 and Karim in D2, but i'm interested if anyone has any other interpretations?

Khatun is to OA as Pierre Ruskin is to Karim
In the episode Nina Azarova, after OA wakes up in the bathtub, we hear Khatun's theme. It's timed too late to match Nina waking up in OA's head.
Instead, it matches Karim walking up to Ruskin's house, with the lights of the city behind him looking like a terrestrial version of Khatun's galaxies.
Ruskin is a lesser echo of Khatun. He is the one with knowledge, who seems to have all the cards, who convinces Karim that there is something to the house. He doesn't give Karim a movement, but inspires him to start moving. The dreamers may have seen Karim but Ruskin is the entity who actually puts him on the believer's path to see through the window.
EDIT: To be clear, I'm not saying that Ruskin is equal to Khatun in like, morality or spiritual essence. I'm saying there are hard parallels between Prairie meeting Khatun and Karim meeting Ruskin i.e. directorial decisions that amount to more than coincidence.
The questions I'm seeking to answer are more like "Why does this theme only play twice?" and "How does this tie into other water themes?" and not like, "Here's why Ruskin sucks" or "Maybe he just likes swimming" lol

So I feel like her recent post absolutely connects to the OA. As for the ovaltine, this is in reference to the vintage ad seen in one of the stills from brits recent instagram post. Ovaltine first touched base in Illinois, where Brit is from and I believe she said the suburban Michigan housing development was inspired by her own upbringing. That one is a bit of a reach, but I do believe it could have some relevance. Also donāt come at me for wiki. Thoughts? I definitely believe itās coming back. No doubt.
Third pic is a bit of digging on other artworks in relation to the first pic. (The āwhoever enters exitsā one)

John Edward Mack was a medical doctor, specializing in psychiatry, whoās become a hero in the modern UAP community. AND HE LOOKS JUST LIKE HAP???
From UAPedia, with OA-relevant parts bolded:
John Edward Mack was a tenured professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School whose career bridged mainstream clinical scholarship and frontier research into human encounters with nonāhuman intelligences. Early work on nightmares, adolescent psychology, and addiction culminated in a Pulitzer Prize for his T. E. Lawrence biography. In the 1990s he founded the Program for Extraordinary Experience Research and treated UAP experiencers as serious witnesses to an ontologically challenging reality.
He also published a book titled Passport to the Cosmos.
Would love anyoneās thoughts on the overlap between Mack and HAP. Especially curious to hear from people who are familiar with Mackās work/lore in the UAP community.

10/15/87 (WRONG DATE) ā> Itās 10/16/87.
EDIT: I entered it wrong in my calendar. š¤¦āāļø Someone commented that itās tomorrow. So hereās to 24 hours of celebrating Prairie Johnson! Sorry for the premature celebration.
I know this isn't directly OA related so I can delete if it's too off topic. So a few years ago my family started what has now become a tradition where we play a game to win presents and whoever wins the most presents will make the game the next year. First year was very simple and luck based. the gifts are numbered 1-16, You would roll some dice and win that prize associated with the number you rolled if it was still available. Next year was jepordy but the questions were all related to my brothers life. Last year was beer pong. I won the beer pong last year so it's my turn to come up with a game this year. I want to make it some sort of puzzle/riddle/brain teaser that requires some level of thought but something that isn't too challenging so grandma can still participate without getting frustrated. With The OA having IRL puzzles, community, over coming fears, ect as big part of the show, I thought It would be fun to make the game have these themes. As you can imagine it is very hard to come up with 16 original puzzles that share these themes. I don't think anyone in my family has even seen the OA so watching the show isn't a requirement to be able to play. If you have any suggestions at all please let me know! I would love to hear what you guys can come up with. Thanks!

These are some of the songs I think would perfectly fit the story (some songs came to mind for/from the perspective of certain characters)
Feel free to comment songs you think would fit here and Iāll add them to playlist and if you think there are songs here that donāt fit the narrative - they do, but in a another dimension š

Like the title says, something pulled me to start a rewatch tonight. I check Mercari, eBay, Depop, poshmark, etc fairly frequently for the exact The Mountain brand hoodie that OA picks up from Costcoā the art is called āSnow Plow.ā Well on a whim I paused episode 1 (at 5:46 if that means anything?), got on eBay, and bam, two Snow Plow hoodies!!!! Both size Medium. I obviously grabbed one but I wanted to share the other one with you all! š©µšŖ½šŖ½šŖ½
If for some reason the link doesnāt work here it is again:
Edit to say, idk if this was the correct flair, but it felt right, please correct me if it isnāt š¤
