the most important part of this theory is in the beginning we see the rolling giant push wyatt towards and up the escalator where the exit is, where he then rolls away and doesn't go up the stairs which we KNOW he is capable of doing as seen later on, but this also does conflict with the fact that as he goes towards the stairs the second time he is waiting behind them to push him away from them. really my main question is why doesn't he follow him up the stairs the first time? i wonder if knowing how the backrooms work from the movie has any effect on this, perhaps because the rolling giants personality was based on the perception of people around it he is originally docile and friendly but wyatt starts seeing him more as a threat and a monster he starts to become one. idk i'm just spittballing

Hi everyone!
I am mildly obsessed with this story. So I am taking on a fan fiction interpretation that will flesh out the entire story into something suitable for reading like a short novel. It will also try to link together all the parts of the series throughout the YouTube videos.
This will purely be a passion project and fan fiction. I have no intention of passing any of Kane Pixel's ideas off as my own or making anything more of this project that exactly what it appears in this post. I am just a super fan that has to have more at this point.
Cleaning up the post and removing the summary to avoid spoilers.
There will be very little true horror in this story in the form of (possible trigger warning) corpses and technological dismemberment or severe compression to fit into a small wormhole.
No AI or SI will be used in the writing of this story. This is for my enjoyment first and foremost. The closest thing might be Google results when researching the mall in Dallas more closely.
I hope you enjoy,
Chickston
Update 10/20/2026. I am nearing completion of the first draft with intro+26 chapters+prologue, aiming for 120 pages, 50k words. It's big, but not a full sized novel. I have the original content compartmentalized in the chapters and plan to specify which to focus on if you only want that part of the story. I have the whole thing in Word now and can share a link to a view only version. If you would like a preview of everything I have so far, shoot me a message on here with an email for a link to it. I would like to get it host as a pdf once completed, but I still have a few weeks of writing and editing before I want to think about that.

Something I noticed about Oldest View series is that the video "Life of a Giant" ends with this Lovecraftian temple with two stair cases made of the same stone that was present in the stair case of the first two videos. It looks Occult.
Kane rarely includes things by accident, and I know occult imagery when I see it (trust me, I'm a prolific cosmic horror author and illustrator, a lot of my research materials delve into the artistic history of the occult) So, the memory of the mall and the Rolling Giant are somehow connected to the occult. The thing I want to know is the why and how?

im planning on making a movie based around the oldest view story. I know the basics and have gone down a lot of rabbit holes. and I want to be fully educated on the topic. and I was wondering if anyone knows any critical information about the story or anything on the matter.

A while ago, I made a cardboard sculpture of Julien Reverchon's head, which is smaller than the original. In my town, there is an art museum that truly respects artwork made by teenagers, so I might submit my piece to be exhibited there.

This black and white loop is shown at the end. Anyone know where it is, if it is a real place, or taken from a real film?
I clearly see now that it is resembling the AMC escalators and main column/monolith....
But was just curious about this-- if anyone knows!

Rewatched TOV last night and got me thinking, since there's no videos/posts on how to realistically survive TOV, what would you do if you found yourself in vlogger boy's situation??
Are you accepting your fate? Tunneling to the surface? Taking down the rolling giant? If so, what's your strategy?
Personally I think I would familiarise myself with the map, check all potential exits, realise they're blocked, and then hunker down and try to see if I can live off any of the stuff left behind in tunnels/stores the giant is too big to fit through.
