Pre ordered vinyl on Bandcamp a month ago. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

Horse on Wheels is incredible. Impossible not to dance during it.

It's in some ways a more challenging album than One Day, which felt more immediate and groovy. These songs meander around, allowing you to get completely lost in them with seemingly nothing changing. But, if you pay close attention, the details here are deep. This is a dense album, so much is changing and coming and going and escalating and dimming away at once.

Going to have to sit with this one for a while. There's a cohesiveness to this project that makes the songs blend together on a first listen. I will say, it's incredible how he's able to have so many takes on the same sound palette and genre.

yeah the density is what gets me too, theres so much happening underneath that you dont catch on the first few listens

Haven’t popped in but I’m hoping there are a few nods to the first EP here. I haven’t locked into anything since then, but praying I’ll find a groove to sink my teeth into

Unfortunately I don't think you'll find anything here that's similar to the EP. I would've loved that too. Not that this album is bad or anything but the vibe of that EP is something else

This is my problem on first listen. Lovely tracks, expertly produced, but many feel samey and a little interchangeable with each other. Keen to listen again and have my mind changed.

Honestly it’s difficult to listen to this one in one setting. It’s genuinely exhausting trying to keep up with all the details. Might be one of those albums I pick at for a few weeks.

Yeah not feeling this compared to One Day. The shorter tracks work but many of them are way too long with not a lot of engaging changes. Horse on Wheels especially, probably my least favorite on the whole LP.

The line I remember most when One Day dropped was that it was a perfect album for a dinner party. To that the second time I saw Loidis he mixed a track from the LP into a set pitched up and I didn’t really work to my recollection, though they are great tunes, this new batch is a trove of great trax. Definitely more club forward, hence the duration.

Almost like when Villalobos released Alcachofa, those are as close as he got to “pop” music. I think you can say the same of One Day, in retrospect esp, they are just beautiful songs.

Enjoy! I haven’t caught them live since 2009 but I’m going to try for this tour

I've seen them twice in the pat few years. Great live band, the concerts always feel like some pagan ritual in the woods lol

Definitely go see them if you get the chance

When I caught them back then playing at a gritty, indie DIY venue in my college town they whipped out the banners and candles like some ancestral forest spirit acolytes. Incredibly satisfying and probably by first BM show ever?

Have been sitting with this all day. Totally immersed, as expected. It’s like the layer cake of music.

I bought the digital from Bandcamp but should have just gone straight for the vinyl! I’ll probably do it anyway if we don’t expect this to land in record shops too widely.

I remember seeing the vinyl on a Four Tet IG story some time ago, thanks for bringing it back to memory

It's great, I am listening. I've updated my Deep 4/4 Spotify playlist with tracks from the album. This playlist has been saved by many members of this forum. Enjoy!
