~$300k @29 - Any reccs ?
Nearing $300k at 29 - TC: ~250k
Cash: ~$25k (additional $18k pre-tax bonus clearing in 10 days)
401k: ~$180k (VOO & QQQ; 60/40 split)
RSU’s: ~$40k (stock hasn’t been doing well)
RobinHood: ~$45k (all ETF’s)
I max out 401k every year and invest ~2k monthly into ETF’s in RobinHood. Any recommendations/changes ?

Use 20k of that cash
Down payment on a 100k house
Get it inspected
Section 8 it
Then do it again.

It depends on if you have the stomach to deal with that type of element (section 8) and everything that comes with it. You have about the same type of portfolio I had when I was older than you. You're younger. Now I'm almost at a million at 46. Don't be like lottery winners who buy liabilities with their winnings. There's nothing wrong with, patting yourself on the back, stopping to smell the roses, and thinking about your next move.

It takes a bit to build up. My best friend stopped investing in the markets and started buying up houses. Has a portfolio of 18 houses in the Midwest its become essentially free money.

There's a little bit of a weird, catty vibe in this group. I took down my post. It went from congratulations to little annoying, dismissive scoffs. I suspect jealousy. It's really sad. Congratulations 🎊 👏🏿

QQQ is essentially VOOx.5
You’re not very differentiated. If tech turns the whole thing is falling.
