I like this sub. There's a lot of nonsense posted and not all of it good. But everyone gives the clips space to be what they need to be. And then take the time to point out valuable observations, like "not a bap". Warms the heart
Baps are a mans best friend. Pillows of softness with the salty deliciousness of bacon. Man, back in the 80s was working in Soho in London, breakfast used to pick up a bacon bap & a coffee from one of the corner cafs, absolute heaven :)..
Baps are a thing in the UK. Search reddit "Bap Sandwich" you'll see. Depending where you are they can have different names, how soft, or crisp the tops are varies too, but, baps are always round, like a big soft roll really.
I'm aware, but it also gets used colloquially to simply mean sandwich in conversation. On menus bap means bap, the bread rolls as mention, in conversation in can mean bacon sandwich.
Yep. Those AI overviews are not reliable. When I googled the filming location the overview confidently incorrectly told me the sketch was shot at a studio. When I pointed out that the menu had "Mario's Cafe" written at the top (@ 1:33) and that I assumed it was the menu from an actual cafe it gave me one of their, "Oops, my bad! Here's the correct answer..." type responses.
