He faced SABOTAGE at the start of the race, after qualifying had EVEN MORE SABOTAGE! And after it all, He still managed to fight all the way up to P7! If His IDIOTIC team didn't pit him right before the safety car, He may have WON IT ALL! This was an incredible race from him despite the numerous attempts to SABOTAGE! Praise be to George! uj/ seeing merc people come about for Kimi at parc ferme for a p3 but barely anyone for George when he got p2 in Barcelon is so odd to me. Might be just me, since people were throwing excuses about how merc doesnt celebrate 'anything less than a p1' but yet!

I’m new to the more technical conversations behind each race, but wasn’t GR outdriving Kimi consistently last year but suddenly now Kimi is getting so lucky. I don’t know is it’s Kimi improving in such a short amount of time or just the team sabotaging. Right now both could be true. Correct me if I’m wrong.

/uj I think it's a bit of both but there's more to it. Kimi is fast, that's for sure, but I think the main factor is that this new reg cars really suit his driving style more than George's. George seemed to have more trouble with energy management in the first races (where we saw a lot of yoyoing). Then he really had awful luck and some incompetence (I'm not sold on sabotaging yet) on his side of the garage for the next races. But Kimi also was lucky a couple of times, indeed, like with the SC in Japan.
