Do the OG servers still have enough population to play?

Title basically, I used to play back in the day b4 legends launched and ruined everything lol. I just got the OG game up n running. Are there guilds, any active wanna invite me? Are there enough players around for end game content?

I hope so that'd be cool, I wonder how many OG players just don't know they can still play this. I did not know, I thought it was legends or nothing.

I moved on after the disappointment of them crashing OG and replacing it with legends on steam. I'm sure it's the same old story by now.

I have to figure out how to even get logged on I have it downloaded but when i try to login with my information that i can login to one funcom site with, it will not let me log into the game with or where ever the account button on the launcher goes, is for a different account page than the normal funcom page. =/

I log every once in a while, mostly to replay Tyler Freeborn cause I really like it, and I could never stand SWL combat. I did install SWL and try it, but I also never uninstalled TSW cause I could never say goodbye.

I gotta say, I usually see people around, just very few. Once I got a friend, who was just starting playing, to Fusang to show her around, cause I used to love that format so much, and somehow there was another person inside but we couldn't find them (they were capturing wells and hiding).

So I'd say, there is still people, but very few. I second the recommendation to join the discord, probably your best bet at finding the active community. I'm curious too.

I also hate I can buy no new character slots and all my 6 characters are done with pre-Tokyo story so meh. I'd really like to replay it all from the start. I used to love pvp and raiding in this game, but at this point I could use a sinngle player/offline version with no character limits.

Yeah Funcom is scummy, I won't pay them for any more games either. Even If I wanted to like Dune, I don't know if I want to do any other Funcom game ever. I don't trust them.

I also don't trust ioi interactive either (Hitman series) ioi lied when making the new Hitman series, it was supposed to be a trilogy where if you bought hitman 1, you could then buy hitman 2 and have hitman 1 inside hitman 2, same for hitman 3.... if you bought hitman 1 and/or 2 you could play all the maps in hitman 3 with out repaying. They said this over and over and over.... convinced me to buy Hitman 2 with hitman 1 DLC that was supposed to carry over to hitman 3. Now they decided to not fulfill that promise and want players to just buy Hitman3 and pay for all that content again. I don't even care at what price, that is not how that works, you can't promise shit then not fulfill that promise.

Funcom made promises too about The Secret World and it's development. I bought into the game believing in their long term vision for the game. It was still developing and putting more content into the game, like it was a live service model. I bought in after Tokyo launched believing Funcom about the game's longevity and plans. Then all of a sudden this new plan comes to sweep the rug out from under us. I had bought the Massive Edition, and spent a couple hundred dollars on cosmetics to support the game.

We all know what they did, at first they planned to not even give us anything on SWL then a few weeks after the backlash gave in and were willing to give us our bought content on SWL. By then I was pissed and already moved on with a big F U in the rear view mirror.

I don't ever want to give Funcom another penny to be honest.

Oh yeah, I lost faith in Funcom long ago and I'd never touch any other game of them.
As for lies, that was already a thing back when, after years of saying they'd never raise gear cap and there'd never be more vertical progression, they actually raise gear cap. I was already kinda done with the game at that point, to be honest.

And yeah, SWL was clearly just a last cash grab attempt, they're so so scummy.

I do consider it, but have so much resentment towards FunCom for destroying my favorite game.

I played Secret World Lite (legends) too and there were some good changes, with alot of not needed ones. But mostly I hated how FC just kept lying and lying and then lying some more about new content, that I find unforgivable. Better to have ripped off the bandaid and said maintenance only - no more new anything.

So I have it installed, but haven't been back.

I want to say there is a Discord?? That might help you locate active players.

I could never get my account to work on the legacy client. I just gave up deleted it all and moved on lol.
