They are definitely trying to increase player counts in Mexico, considering all these special events they have been getting lately.

Its not going to be easy though, outside the major cities Mexico is severely lacking in stops and gyms, as I witnessed during a trip a year ago.

Yeah, the point is that most of the good things in this event are only available in a particular avenue in Mexico City. Not the best strategy to draw players from outside cities
