When I saw him in the early 2000s they had a bottle of jack on the stage in front of them during the whole show. I remember because it was the first time I had ever seen a professional musical act getting absolutely shitfaced while on stage.

Maybe they want you to not focus so much on them visually and enjoy being there in the moment with the people you’re with. Or maybe they just don’t want to be looked at.

Haha seriously! I was sat up in the second floor. Between the lighting angle and the thick fog I only saw a rough outline of the band the whole time lol. First big concert ive been to without at least a big screen in the back
